I am extremely impressed after my visit today! I was concerned after moving to Rock Hill that the closest cat-only vet was in Ballantyne. After a personal recommendation, I decided to try Catawba. Everyone that I interacted with was incredibly courteous and understanding. My typically anxious cat was visibly more relaxed than I expected him to be. Our room had a cat tree and soothing bird noises, which my little guy loved. I can't say enough good things about Catawba and especially Dr. Platt.  We had issues this winter with our 9 year old dog and Dr. Platt was determined to find out what and how to make her better. It would have cost us thousands to take her to Charlotte for treatment. Dr. Platt ran all the tests and did all the investigation to find out what was wrong with our Gingersnap. Today, she is happy and healthy again thanks to the wonderful care she got. We also board our dogs and have never had any problems. When we moved to the area we were looking for a good vet and heard about Catawba Animal Clinic. We have a doberman puppy, never had a dog before and we needed honest advice and good care for our baby. First time we went there they did an exam, our puppy got shots and preventive care ( fleas, worms, heart worm). They insisted to check his stool, not a problem. The dog was imported, we wanted to make sure he is ok. Everything looked good. After that, every next time they charged us 150 - 200 for a visit. I don't mind paying for stuff the dog needs, but does it really need stool sample every 3 weeks? I was under impression they just wanted to charge for treatments that were not necessary. I don't think we will go there again. They were extremely nice, but I didn't like the way they used our situation and not knowing what our puppy needs and what doesn't. Read Less

Having been a client of Catawba Animal Clinic for close to twenty years, I have always been thrilled with and trusted the care Dr. Bert Platt has provided to my pets throughout the years. He understands they are a part of my family, and they have always been treated as such. Recently, Catawba Animal renovated their clinic. I personally enjoy the relaxing and warm feeling of home, but last week, I discovered my dog does as well! I took Sky, my hound dog, in for her annual checkup with Dr. Platt. Sky has never particularly enjoyed trips to the vet. Before the renovation, we had to be quickly escorted from the waiting room to an exam room because Sky's anxiety would cause her to loudly bark at other patients in the waiting room, causing me stress and anxiety as well. Even in the exam room, Sky would pace, listen for other dogs at the door, excessively pant and drool, as well as have occasional bouts of loud hound dog barking. Well, no more. Since Catawba Animal Clinic's soothing and relaxing redesign, Sky is a completely different dog when visiting Dr. Platt! She waited quietly at my feet in the waiting room with not one bark. Not one bark. When we were taken into the renovated exam room, Sky walked around the room once, sniffed a few things, then calmly curled up into a relaxed ball on the area rug, and promptly went to sleep until Dr. Platt joined us. No more anxiety. No more pacing and drooling. No more barking. I was absolutely amazed and overjoyed. In fact, I cried a little bit because she wasn't going through any horrible stress and anxiety. So thank you, Dr. Platt and Catawba Animal Clinic, for keeping the well-being and happiness of my pets in mind when designing your renovation. We have always received outstanding care from every CAC staff member, but now that my pets are calm and relaxed when they visit, that is priceless to me. We've been taking our dachshunds to Catawba Animal Clinic since we moved to Rock Hill. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. Yesterday Dr. Wolff waited for us after closing because one of the dachshunds was in a lot of pain & crying. Even though they were ready to close, she saw us, examined Sophie & carefully explained what was wrong & the treatment we should follow. Every question we had was answered & she did not rush. I appreciate everyone there very much! We have also seen Dr. Privette and have been very, very happy with the care & concern she has shown our dogs. I took my cat to be treated for fleas by Dr. Amanda Wolff at Catawba Animal Clinic and was very pleased with the medical care she administered and the sincere interest she had in answering any questions to alleviate my concerns. My experience with Dr. Wolff stands in stark contrast to the lackluster and uncreative treatment I received just one day earlier at a 24 hour animal clinic. Looking back I should have simply booked an appointment with Dr. Wolff, which I was able to do same day. I have rarely had as positive an experience at a vet as I did with Dr. Wolff. Despite the office being over 30 minutes from my home I will certainly be taking my cat back to her again in the future. Read Less

From encephalitis to congestive heart failure, the doctors never cease to amaze with their compassion and knowledge. After losing our dog of 11 years in March, the entire staff showed sincere love for our family. I had a great experience today with Dr Mazur. He was so gentle and loving with my older dog. Normally, my dog is very irritable and is "a biter" with vets and groomers, but he was very comfortable with Dr Mazur. We have also seen Dr. White who is the same, very sweet and loving with animals. Absolutely terrible. Twice I've boarded with them. I'll never go back. Please do not leave your fur babies here!!!!!!! Within 45 minutes of bringing her home, she's thrown up 4 times, pooped liquid 40 times, and now  she has a urinary tract infection. Both times this has happened. I'm absolutely disgusted. Do not board your dogs here.*edit** After a couple phone calls with the doctor, he drove back out to the clinic at 8pm just to help my dog. The team at Catawba Clinic welcomed us with open arms, took amazing care of my boy and ensured he would have everything he needed to recover.
