I had two dogs with an intestinal virus 2 days apart. One we took to another facility on Sunday and paid $599; one we took to our regular vet at Chappell and paid $210 for X-rays and medication. Different treatment plans but the dog that was treated by Chappell recovered quicker. They are knowledgeable and treat our dogs as God's creations. It's a bit of a drive and sometimes a wait if it's a busy day, but worth it for the care. They aren't after your money, they are after your animals well being. Read Less

If you are going to leave a one star review it should come with an explanation or keep your negativity to yourself. Dr. John and Dr. Libby are awesome. They do a fantastic job and take pride in what they do. I have been taking my Rhodesian Ridgebacks to them for almost 7 years now and they have always done an excellent job. The staff is very down home and friendly. They definitely have a "country feel" to their set up and they are out in the sticks. Definitely York Co with a corresponding feel. However, their knowledge and skill is great and their prices are even better. You will not find a vet anywhere within an hour that will come close to their prices. Great job Dr. John and staff! Service couldn't be better. Prices are reasonable but most importantly the staff really cares about your pets. My little buddy has been really sick on 2 instances the first time no one knew what was wrong just kept giving medications that didn't help. Finally I brought him here and Dr. John really cared, he did everything he could to find out what was going on, needless to say days later my baby was much better and recovering well. Wonderful Veterinarian clinic , they tried everything they could no matter what to help Our little girl but she didn't make it.. She was to old to hold on any longer.. They were calm with everything though and made sure we knew what had went wrong with her lungs.. She was a 15 year old cat with such An amazing personality. For 40+ years, we have been blessed by the welcoming and professional staff, compassionate and caring Dr. John. It' so sad when a person allows a bad day to ruin 30 years of relationship & memories. Good thing we don't quit or punish our babies when they mess-up. Not to mention, they have awesome prices... always have! Excellent, caring, and knowledgeable vet services at a reasonable price. Yes can you believe I said reasonable. I drive almost an hour each way because they are much more reasonable than Charlotte vet services. The only vet I have ever been to where I don't walk away feeling like I have totally been ripped off. To top it off you don't need an appointment most of the time. I called to make one and they said just come on in. Not sure about the comment about other patients being rude. The waiting area is open so if your animal is aggressive you will need to maintain control.Read Less

We just moved to the area and had to have our sweet senior dog put down. As a family we were heartbroken. We went to Chappell on the recommendation of friends from church, and I am so glad we did. The staff and veternarians at Chappell Animal Hospital are very skillful. They genuinely care for our dogs showing patience when they are difficult to handle. When we had cats - they received the best of care along with fresh bedding and blankets when getting spayed. Other vets did not show this kind of care.
