The other reviews were paid for by the clinic . This is the truth about Ebenezer Animal Hospital; they are expensive and they charge you for duplicate tests because they   don't check the records. Two  of my dogs have been charged for allegedly receiving influenza vaccines  3 times each this year. This clinic was honest when Dr. Loren and Michael were there. Some of technicians are dishonest and also very racist as I have heard negative comments about customers  and  staff even made my husband wait in he lobby for my puppy's booster and charged him an extra $20 late fee. There is nothing exceptional about the service. I have taken my  dogs here for 8 years and began with my new puppy but I realized this is a sham. The second booster shot costs  around )22.00 At any other vet at Ebenezer my total was $112.00. I was belittled on the telephone and my husband was called a liar. I will never return. Some may ask why go there for so lomg of the service sucks. One of my dogs likes the groomer Sheila. However, each time he is groomed Ebenezer charges me for another Bordetella vaccine. I had a decent experience with Dr. Jay but my last visit was with Dr. Scarlett at least her name is on the document. What really shocks me is that she let her technician belittle a customer of nearly a decade instead of exhibiting managerial skills.He Read Less

This is a fantastic practice! They go above and beyond to make my anxious little dog comfortable. They have smart policies that include peanut butter treats to try to relax dogs and checking out in the examination room so therest less stress for everybody. Love this vet! Just moved to SC from Florida so this was our first visit. Dr.Cline was amazing. She took the time to really look at my baby and offered some better options for his ongoing allergies that will also save me money! Brook was great with him too when it came time to give him his shot. She was gentle and kept him calm. The waiting room is amazing, separate areas for cats and exotic animals then from the dogs. There are separators for the dogs too so my dog doesn’t go crazy trying to play with the other dogs. Checking out is easy and they come into the room so no trying to wrangle your dog as you are paying to leave. They even have an app that makes appts. And medicine pick up easier!! Read Less

Dr. Cline takes such good care of our standard poodles, Zoey and Chloe.  She also was very gracious as we had to put down our beloved Morkie last fall.  Our vet tech even made foot imprints in clay dried it and mailed it to us as a keepsake--this on her own time and dime.  They offer a monthly play that is affordable and includes all shots, visits, heartworm prevention, dentals,etc. so you don't get hit with a huge vet bill all at once. After a heartbreaking summer (and, countless visits to vets and specialist) with our Dakota, we came to see Dr. Marlowe and the AWESOME team at Ebenezer. Dakota could hardly walk, had issues with his skin and hair, and we were so worried that he was never going to lead a normal life. After changing Dakota's diet to a very nourishing "home cooked" version, and with acupuncture treatments -- we have our Dakota (now called the miracle dog) back!!!!!!!! We took him back to the neurologist 3 weeks ago, and she was absolutely blown away by his progress (his reflexes were normal, and his muscle tone has returned). He has resumed his daily walks (1.5 miles), and is (in the neurologist's words), a very energetic almost 7 year old German Shepherd. The simple term "thank you" cannot convey how much we appreciate Dr. Marlowe, Thomas, Ben, Susie, Brooke and the entire Ebenezer staff -- you have given our precious family member back to us. This morning I woke up to my cat acting very different than ever before. After realizing she hadn't (and wasn't going to) move for hours, I tried picking her up and putting food in her bowl but nothing worked. I immediately drove her to the vet and without hesitation asked me what was going on and took her back to begin a check up. They kept me informed every step of the way and now we are back home where she is resting and getting her medication. Extremely awesome team! My little Hercules had parvo and I literally went straight from the emergency hospital to them. At the hospital I was told to put him to sleep. As soon as I got to Ebenezer they went straight to taking care of my Hercules. He was hospitalized for a week and got extremely skinny but they never gave up on him and now my Hercules is strong and active again! You guys made us extremely happy and we that you a million times for your patience. I called multiple times a day and stopped by every day. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. You saved my son's dog and I will be forever thankful for your help. In this place you can tell there is a lot of love and passion for the animals. Never go to that emergency vet on South Tryon. This is the boarding clinic I left my Rottweiler at while I went to my grandfather's funeral in N.Y. for one week.  When I came home, I picked up my dog and she walked out woozy as if she was drugged and she didn't even recognize me. As she looked down, I noticed a clump of hair sticking out of her head. I touched the surface of her head, I felt a few bumps witch turned out to be scabs and scrapes. As I repeatedly asked the technician what happened, she said,"Those are scrapes.". As this has little to do with my question she took her back to see the doctor and she then told me she could take me back to an exam room where the doctor would consult with me about my dog's injuries. Again, I had the same conversation about scabs and scars and then, the doctor got snotty with me and acted as though I was stupid and started to tell me how things get cut and scratched as I asked how this happened. He then said he could shave the area (witch at the time I thought was small) and take a closer look at the bumpy area. I then said yes and he took her behind into the clinic area where they shaved her almost bald. I then heard the same speech of how it was a scrape. This "scab" was not there when I dropped her off as he tried to tell me I didn't know my own dog. As he then tried to charge me for her boarding, I said," I want to speak to a manager.". Then he told me that she wasn't available, so I said that I would not pay for the visit until I spoke to the manager. I would never send anyone to this clinic or boarding program.P.S. We have 6 pets, 4 of whom are regular patients at Ebenezer. One of our cats, Tidas, has had a lot of health issues. About a year ago, he had a very bad infection. We went to an emergency vet and they told my wife he was going to die, that he had FIP and sent her away saying there was nothing they could do. We took him to Ebenezer. Doctor Hreiz agreed that it could be FIP, but it could also be another type of infection. He treated him with antibiotics and the cat improved. Tidas also has asthma and Dr Hreiz is the first vet that has been able to control that. They do a good job with both of our dogs, their staff is always friendly. We recommend them to anyone we talk to. Read Less

I give them zero stars.  Beware when boarding an animal there...they will sneak in a bunch of hidden fees and exams and shots and not make it clear to you.  I'm not an idiot I worked for a vet for many years I know what shots are required and which ones are just added money and the mark up on shots at a vet is ridiculous hence why a lot of people go to shot clinics.  When I dropped my dog off I was told of one shot that was required and I agreed with that shot.  I was not made aware of anything else and if she was going to make me aware of that one shot how come not make me aware of the other two shots a fecal smear and a exam as well???????  I signed a paper of which none of that was clear.  They always say never board at a vet and this is why.  Just beware your bill will be double what you think it will be.  They have lost a customer for life and they could honestly care less by the way I was talked to on the phone.  Adios. Had an emergency this morning with my cat while she was having her kittens. Did not know what to do so I rushed her to Newport Veterinary Hospital. They turned me away saying that they were not equipped to handle her (WTF?). Recommended that I go to an emergency clinic in Charlotte, NC (over 30 miles away). Instead I rused to Ebenezer Animal Hospital. They staff was kind and understanding and took my cat back almost immediately. They got the situation under control quickly. I have been bringing my dogs here for 7 years and I love it. The staff and doctors our extremely skilled. I have referred my brother and now he brings his cat and chameleon here. Its not the cheapest vet. But well worth the extra money for better quality doctors. I got my dog little bear teeth cleaned 2 months ago and I was a nervous wreck the whole time he was asleep. Hands down the very best Animal Hospital I have ever been to. They always treat my pets like they are their favorite and show them so much love and affection. I recently had my youngest puppy spayed and they text me updates throughout the day and even sent me pictures of her while recovering. Ebenezer has cared for two of my dogs over a span of 17+ years. My experiences have run the gamut of spay/neutering services, surgeries, skin allergy issues, boarding, check ups, etc. Many years ago, I was particularly touched how the entire staff displayed such a caring attitude when my Dalmatian passed away. I certainly did not feel alone; they fully understood that dog was a member of my family. I never feel as though they are trying to shuffle me out the door in order to get to the next patient; they spend time in assessing my pet and answering all of my concerns/questions. I took my rat here because a growth had fallen off his cheek and he was bleeding and this was the only vet service open on a weekend that treated rats. The staff was very considerate and polite but didn't seem to know anything about rats. The nurse kept calling him a "chunky monkey". After she weighed him I asked if he was overweight for a rat and she responded with "he certainly looks like a chunky monkey" and then left the room. He is actually slightly underweight. The doctor gave us antibiotics and told us to come back in two weeks. When we came in again two weeks later his growth had regrown and the doctor basically shrugged us off and said she had no idea what it was and we could either keep him on antibiotics for the rest of his life or do surgery that may or may not solve the problem at all. To top everything off the entire vet staff kept repeating over and over again that because he was two years old he was probably going to die soon anyways. Anyone who sees this rat can tell that he is happy and healthy and isn't about to drop dead. I have told all my friends to steer clear of this establishment. Read Less
