General Info
Rock Hill Animal Hospital is one of the oldest veterinary hospitals in South Carolina. It was established by Dr. Dixon in 1916 in an uptown stable. Except for a brief closure during WWI, the hospital has served clients in York and surrounding counties for more than 90 years.
Dr. Rice McMaster took over in the 1950s and moved the hospital to the old Cherry Road location. Dr. William Diamanduros came in during the late 1960s and ran the hospital until Dr. Mike Ferguson took over in 1987.
The hospital moved to its current location in 2000. Although ownership has changed, our commitment to serve the people and animals of York County has not.
The goal of Rock Hill Animal Hospital is to provide the best veterinary medical care possible in a compassionate, caring atmosphere.
We strive to combine the most advanced standards of medical care with the comfort of dealing with friends.

This group is Amazing!! My first experience with this group was when my senior Rottweiler was diagnosed with probable cancer. They help guide me through my treatment decision and assisted me in keeping Lucky as comfortable as possible the last month or so of her life. When the time came, the entire office was so caring, compassionate, and willing to do anything for Lucky and myself during the last minutes before and after she crossed the rainbow bridge. Since then I have adopted a golden doodle and they treat him with the same love and care during his routine wellness visits. I drive from Charlotte to see this group even though I have multiple vets within 5 minutes of my house!

I called to inquire what the cost of a cat declaw is and I was told my kitten needed to come in for a visit and I would be given the cost at that time. What a joke. Every other veterinarian that I called was able to provide a quote. So if I spend $50 on a visit and then learn the cost is astronomical I just wasted $50 for the visit and an hour of my life? This place needs to get a grip.

Have trusted the staff at RHAH with my furbabies for 3+ years now and am still very pleased with their services. Staff is kind, caring and trustworthy which makes me feel better about having to board my dogs when I travel for work. Clean environment and good location for me. I honestly think their prices are some of the best in the area, which makes it easy for me to continue to use and recommend them.

I cannot thank them enough for the professional care that gave us several extra months with our little girl. We tried all options until we could no longer give our little girl the quality of life that she deserved for all the love she gave to us. A week later we are still a family in mourning, but when the mail arrived today we had a joyful surprise! A sympathy card that was more a celebration of Lunden's life, complete with her paw prints along with everyone's signatures and a beautiful keepsake impression of her precious little foot. The staff at the RH Animal Hospital truly care about their patients and their families. They have been and always will be our choice!

My Pitbull, Lily, went to see Dr. Ferguson for not being able to urinate without pain. The hospital has the most caring and concerned staff. After moving to Rock Hill I researched very thoroughly before choosing a veterinarian and haven't regretted it one bit.

I did not see any pun in that!! The groomer clipped my yorkie's tail 1st & last grooming!! A little on the discriminatory side @ the front desk being that 80-90% percent of their clients are Caucasian. Horrible experience unless you are Trump voter!!!

We had to bring our Beagle (Brownie) in yesterday, July 16th 2015 for treatment. What I thought was a sore was actually Breast Cancer. Beth was so nice & caring towards us & Brownie. Dr. Ferguson came in and gave us the diagnosis of Brownie and explained all our options. Our choice was devasting and heartfelt but Dr. Ferguson sat with us through the entire process. Hands down he was made to be an Veterinarian! You & Beth made us feel at ease with the decision our family had to make. Thank you for being there!

Rock Hill Animal Hospital ROCKS! My pets are not even patients there but I called them to see if there was anyone who could help capture my elderly mother's cat as we had to move and the cat would only hiss at me and not let me near him. Roxy came right over, was a true cat whisperer and secured the cat within 3 minutes of meeting him. I am truly thankful for RHAH!

This is the only veterinarian practice I have used for over 14 years. I am thoroughly pleased with the care that my animals have received as well as the way I am treated. Whether I have had questions in the office or on the phone, someone has always been courteous and informative with an answer. I love this place and don't plan on going anywhere else!

I am new to Rock Hill and got a free exam offer in the mail and they were so patient with me answered all my questions and concerns and the office is so clean and they seem so up on the newest information for our fur babies. My first visit to Rock Hill Animal Hospital today. This visit was (kind of) an emergency and they got me in within a couple of hours. My Pitbull, Lily, went to see Dr. Ferguson for not being able to urinate without pain. The hospital has the most caring and concerned staff. From the receptionist, to Allison (assistant), to Dr. Ferguson; they were professional and knowledgeable.

Dr. Ferguson is the best! I fought through rush hour traffic to get there from my work when they were closing at 6:00 and they stayed until after closing to explain everything to me thoroughly. After moving to Rock Hill I researched very thoroughly before choosing a veterinarian and haven't regretted it one bit.

Extremely poor front desk help..Not familiar with policy & procedures!! I have a Biewer Terrier with paperwork & Veterinarian called my puppy "What every this little guy is"?? I did not see any pun in that!! The groomer clipped my yorkie's tail 1st & last grooming!! A little on the discriminatory side @ the front desk being that 80-90% percent of their clients are Caucasian. Horrible experience unless you are Trump voter!!!

We had to bring our Beagle (Brownie) in yesterday, July 16th 2015 for treatment. What I thought was a sore was actually Breast Cancer. Beth was so nice & caring towards us & Brownie. Dr. Ferguson came in and gave us the diagnosis of Brownie and explained all our options. Our choice was devasting and heartfelt but Dr. Ferguson sat with us through the entire process. Hands down he was made to be an Veterinarian! You & Beth made us feel at ease with the decision our family had to make. Thank you for being there!

Rock Hill Animal Hospital ROCKS! My pets are not even patients there but I called them to see if there was anyone who could help capture my elderly mother's cat as we had to move and the cat would only hiss at me and not let me near him. Roxy came right over, was a true cat whisperer and secured the cat within 3 minutes of meeting him. I am truly thankful for RHAH!

This is the only veterinarian practice I have used for over 14 years. I am thoroughly pleased with the care that my animals have received as well as the way I am treated. Whether I have had questions in the office or on the phone, someone has always been courteous and informative with an answer. I love this place and don't plan on going anywhere else!
