I had an AWFUL experience with this vet office. I had the unfortunate experience of having to euthanize my foster dog. In the room where the procedure was to take place, the older female was casually doing, and complaining about doing, her taxes. We were there mourning the impeding death of our dog and she was fussing about her TAXES in the SAME ROOM! The vet had HORRIBLE bedside manner. We had to wait for the rescue to have someone authorize the euthanasia. He was rushing us for that to happen, not because the dog was inhumanely suffering but because he was being inconvenienced. He came in and out of the room 3 times, each time with a complaint that someone had not arrived to authorized the euthanasia. Once authorization was given, he did not allow final good-byes. The person who authorized it wanted to have a moment but that was not given. Also, the vet never said he was starting the process. The dog's last moments were him looking around for a familiar face because we were all positioned at the back half of his body and were not allowed to be in front of the dog for him to be comforted by us. He was treated with no dignity or respect in his final moments. After his passing the vet asked, multiple times, what we were going to do with the dog and who was taking him. We were literally balling our eyes out and THAT is what he had to say. All of that had been discussed and arranged prior to the procedure. The ONLY reason I am giving a 1-star is because of the vet tech. She tried to be compassionate but even her efforts were stifled by the vet. From start to finish the entire visit lasted less than 1hr. The appointment was not to euthanize, it was for a check-up. When I got there, there were no customers waiting in the lobby and none when I left either. The entire experience was absolutely awful and the treatment of both the dog and us was ill-mannered and disrespectful.

After picking up a stray, we needed to get her into the vet. Thankfully, Old Trolley had an opening that same day & got us right in. Unfortunately, this pup tested positive for heartworms.A local rescue that we have worked with uses Old Trolley for their vet services, so I know that they often work with dogs with heartworms, which put me at ease.The facility itself isn't anything fancy - it's a little bit older & can tell that it's been well used for a while. The staff was helpful in answering my questions. We have started our new fur baby on heartworm treatment and the staff at Old Trolley has made sure that we stayed informed and aware of the process, as well as given use price estimates for all services and treatments, which has been helpful.Overall, we have been pleased with the vet care that has been provided for our pup.

This is the only place locally that would see our cat due to, what I thought was an obstruction. Every other local place told me to go to North Charleston emergency clinic. Dr. Lawson and staff took the time, and we found it was only a UTI. The charge was minimal and my cat is doing perfectly well now. We bring our dog now and they treat him and my family great. We love this place and their prices are perfect. Highly recommend bringing your pets here if you want honest caring experienced staff.

My animals have always been well taken care of here. I find the prices of the services to be very reasonable, and the products you'd typically get at a vet's office (i.e. Heartguard and other medications) are on point with other vet's offices. The clinic seems to be owned by the vet, and his staff seem to be relatives. I find my interactions with the people who work here often a little odd, but not so much that it's off-putting. I continue to come here because it is convenient and because I truly do feel like my babies get the best possible care.

This clinic does not overcharge or recommend services which aren't really necessary. We are very lucky to have them on board!

Not impressed at all. Not only was the vet unable to take my dog's temperature on his own while the dog was standing still, he misdiagnosed my dog's injuries. While the antibiotics he prescribed, thankfully, still worked, he obviously did not take the time to closely observe the injury at hand. The vet never once stood up from his chair in the corner or even bothered to shake my hand. While the staff was nice enough, I don't have much faith in the vet's abilities. Maybe it was an off day for them.

Love Love Love Love Love! There is no better place than this place. Dr. Lawson is a phenomenal veterinarian who truly cares about his patients. His staff are very helpful, and eager to love on Kawasaki every time I bring her in. My 85lb yellow lab actually looks forward to coming in for her routine visits, and even her not so routine visits like when she decides to eat through the dry wall in my kitchen. We have been coming here since 2007, and will continue to be loyal customers of Dr. Lawson for many years to come.

I have used this facility for over 6 years for multiple pets. I am very pleased with the caring treatment my pets receive. All of my pets are healthy and happy thanks to Old Trolley Road Animal Clinic and Dr. Strong (BTW, Dr. Strong no longer works at Old Trolley Road). I am positive that my pets have received the best care available. When their health problems exceeded the expertise of Dr.Lawson he did not hesitate to refer me to the appropriate specialist.

When you walk in you are greeted by the friendly receptionists! They help you with any questions you may have. There is almost never a wait and Doctor Lawson is the best vet I've ever taken my dogs too. He is very understanding and takes them time to get to know all of his patients and their owners. They are open 6 days a week with hours on Wednesday that make it so I can take my dogs after I get off work in the late afternoon. The prices are extremely reasonable for everything from vaccinations and medicines to medicine. Overall, my experience at the Clinic was great and I would definitely recommend to anyone!!!

The staff members are absolutely wonderful, very welcoming, and they definitely make you feel like they are there to assist you with whatever you need. The one male veterinarian there Dr. Lawson saw to it that we weren't just a number and really took the time to figure out what was wrong with our basset hound Pinky. My husband and I had been to two other vets, and they were unable to figure out what was wrong with her. Their hours are very convenient, being open with evening hours on Wednesday night, and morning hours on every Saturday. They've been great about Pinky's refills always having them ready for us to pick up when we need them. If you want a vet who delivers exceptional care, at very affordable prices - YOU MUST GO TO DR. LAWSON!I'd never recommend anyone else.

I really found that at Old Trolley Animal Clinic! They have a wonderful atmosphere, with an amazing staff, and a fantastic vet that truly has a passion for my pets' health!

This is my favorite vet to go to, everyone is extremely helpful. You just cant beat the prices. The head doctor is the absolute best, he doesn't discriminate against breeds, and hes an honest man.

Aside from having some pup parents invading my nervous pups space with their pups, we had a great experience.(nothing more than excited pups wanting to say hello, and mom letting them get too close, and my pup was just a little too nervous to make fur friends) It's not our first visit, and won't be our last. This clinic does not overcharge or recommend services which aren't really necessary. We are very lucky to have them on board!

Not impressed at all. Not only was the vet unable to take my dog's temperature on his own while the dog was standing still, he misdiagnosed my dog's injuries. While the antibiotics he prescribed, thankfully, still worked, he obviously did not take the time to closely observe the injury at hand. The vet never once stood up from his chair in the corner or even bothered to shake my hand. While the staff was nice enough, I don't have much faith in the vet's abilities. Maybe it was an off day for them.

Love Love Love Love Love! There is no better place than this place. Dr. Lawson is a phenomenal veterinarian who truly cares about his patients. His staff are very helpful, and eager to love on Kawasaki every time I bring her in. My 85lb yellow lab actually looks forward to coming in for her routine visits, and even her not so routine visits like when she decides to eat through the dry wall in my kitchen. We have been coming here since 2007, and will continue to be loyal customers of Dr. Lawson for many years to come.

I have used this facility for over 6 years for multiple pets. I am very pleased with the caring treatment my pets receive. All of my pets are healthy and happy thanks to Old Trolley Road Animal Clinic and Dr. Strong (BTW, Dr. Strong no longer works at Old Trolley Road). I am positive that my pets have received the best care available. When their health problems exceeded the expertise of Dr.Lawson he did not hesitate to refer me to the appropriate specialist.

When you walk in you are greeted by the friendly receptionists! They help you with any questions you may have. There is almost never a wait and Doctor Lawson is the best vet I've ever taken my dogs too. He is very understanding and takes them time to get to know all of his patients and their owners. They are open 6 days a week with hours on Wednesday that make it so I can take my dogs after I get off work in the late afternoon. The prices are extremely reasonable for everything from vaccinations and medicines to medicine. Overall, my experience at the Clinic was great and I would definitely recommend to anyone!!!

The staff members are absolutely wonderful, very welcoming, and they definitely make you feel like they are there to assist you with whatever you need. The one male veterinarian there Dr. Lawson saw to it that we weren't just a number and really took the time to figure out what was wrong with our basset hound Pinky. My husband and I had been to two other vets, and they were unable to figure out what was wrong with her. Their hours are very convenient, being open with evening hours on Wednesday night, and morning hours on every Saturday. They've been great about Pinky's refills always having them ready for us to pick up when we need them. If you want a vet who delivers exceptional care, at very affordable prices - YOU MUST GO TO DR. LAWSON!I'd never recommend anyone else.

I can't say enough good things about these folks! I take the two dogs that I own (the loves of my life) as well as the dogs that I foster to this Vet. Everyone there is truly concerned about the welfare of the animals. They're very professional but always personable. They've helped me through some really rough moments.
