Yesterday our cat was having serious trouble, panting and dehydrated, throwing up. Called the emergency clinic and took Sammy down there, they ignored us for 30 minutes and I finally walked out. There was another couple there with a dog that was seizuring, they also left these people in the waiting room for the whole time I was there. I have no idea what the problem is with this business but I agree with the other review here that says they need to be shut down. I certainly will never go back. This place needs to be shut down. Our Great Dane was experiencing some lethargy symptoms. We got very concerned. We took him in. A "doctor " came in the room and did a quick once over and determined that he had Parvo and that he probably wouldn't make it through the night!! No blood test to confirm anything and she said she thought he needed to stay over night and monitor him. Wanted to charge us $500 just to keep him. We had a very uneasy feeling of her attitude and quick to diagnose without testing..Of course, we took him home and set an appointment with our real vet. He had a bad upset stomach. These people could care less about animals..stay as far away from these people as you possibly can..They will kill your pet!!!!!! Read Less

I took my very ill one year old dachshund there in early October 2017. waited 30 minutes to be brought back, then another 15 in the room for the doctor. when she came in, she was rude, looked at my dog without even examining her, and said she would just put her on fluids overnight and it would be $500. there was no compassion, no care for my pet. she said there was another emergency there--but it's an emergency vet. How are they not equipped to handle more than one emergency at a time? Said nevermind, paid $50 for nothing, and drove my dog to UT. she was immediately seen and admitted into their ICU. she was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, and had she not gotten the treatment she had when she did, she would have passed away within 24 hours. she ended up in their ICU under constant observation, nasal tube feeding, and fluids for 4 days. had I left her in Midlands care, she probably would have died alone in a kennel at just one year old. terrible, callous care. Will never use them again. They let my 19 yr old baby die alone with me begging to be with him. I was told the doc was working on him. That was a lie as she later admitted she was working on an animal injured by a car. When we arrived I knew my Bo was in distress but I didn't know he was dying. Yes he was 19, but he was a healthy 19. Had I to do it over I would have taken him to Knoxville. Yes he probably would have passed before I got him there, but at least he would have died with me holding him. I would have been with him! The doc was not compassionate at all. She showed no empathy at all. All she could say was she did not know why he died but she was busy with other patients. In reading her notes, I went back after, the doc basically stated that he was in distress, they could do nothing for him. Knowing all that she didn't mind charging me 275 to let my baby die by himself on a table with no one with him. If the doc would have just had enough abt her to tell me Bo was dying and she didn't know why, but come sit with him, I would have thought more of her and this so called medical center. The staff are great. They explain in detail everything they were going to do to my dog in surgery and how to take care of him after wards. They're very gentle with the animals and make sure before they do anything you understand the price if everything and can afford everything. Read Less

Very pleased with care, compassion, kindness and medical knowledge given to my dog. My dog had puncher wounds and bleeding all over. We have taken other pets to other Emergency care facilities. Beautifully decorated and stuffy. You don't get back to see a Vet tech without giving them mimimum of 500.00 dollars in advance. Your pet could die before they ran your Visa. Did not feel the caring or compassion. I have a healing happy girl and including medicine Midland has on hand. We paid 190.00 and did not have to visit a pharmacy. Do I recommend Midland? Yes. I wish I could give you zero stars. You are not compassionate or caring! You turned away a pregnant dog in a medical emergency and refused to let our group pay for her care. You discuss Me! You refused to help one dog belonging to a group 36000 people ready to support and pay her bill. You all need to shut down! I find your refusal to treat disgusting! Read Less

Disgusting, uncaring people here. Why are you even in the veterinary business if you don't care about animals and have compassion? You turned away a pregnant dog in need of assistance in delivering a baby that was lodged in the birth canal. What logical reason could there be for doing this? Disgusting people!! Someone on my page desperately needed your help, you refused them! Basically left a pregnant mother and her pup to die. So we got a heap of people together to try organise donations over the phone regardless to help get something done and you still refused. You should be ashamed to call yourselves "vets" Vets should be one to love and care about animals, it is your job after all to save them and you've failed at that. Ashamed isn't the word. Read Less

As a vet in training i am very disheartened when a fellow veterinarian will turn a dog away in a critical condition, when originally saying it was ok to bring the dog down. I spent an hour on video chat helping them through the delivery while they tried to hunt down a different vet. Shame on you. But so thrilled the emergency vet they found covered the costs for them. They initially agreed to take donations via phone towards an emergency c-section, about 3 minutes in to it they then very rudely refused to take my payment. Placed me on hold, came back and went on about how they are a business and need payment but would no longer take the payments via phone, despite a mama dog in distress with puppies in distress. In the amount of time it took the very rude, ignorant, heartless woman to St all of this she could have ran my card ten times over. They later flat out REFUSED to care for Layah. Horrible and disgusting. Absolutely reporting this to the Veterinary Board as will others who attempted to donate and were turned away. Read Less

This place is a heaven sent if they wasn't there in our time of need our babies life would have ended very painfully and not only where they nice and saved her for us to be able to come up with the money for her cremains they also cried right along with us I don't know how they do it I really don't but they are amazing thank you all again Read Less

Have used Midland Pet Emergency twice and have no negative things to say. The first was our cat Oreo who suddenly took ill. The outcome was not good bit ot was handled with care and ompassion the entire time. The second was with our dog Buddy. It was Friday night and he was ill as well. They treated him and reaasured us he would be ok. We were so thankful to have that reassurance and peace of mind. Buddy has made a complete recovery after meds and rest. Thank you! Read Less

I've had to take a couple animals there for a couple emergencies over a 5 year span. They were great with both animals each time. My cat needed emergency surgery to take some bad teeth out and she was 13 at the time, so I was worried about sedation. They were honest and caring and did a wonderful job. Not too much sedatiin and not too little. My dog was ill suddenly before and they took great care of her too. Still have both my old ladies thanks to them. More than reasonably priced for after hours emergencies, too. They do take Care Credit. Read Less

Midland pet emergency has been there for 3 different dogs for us over the past 10 or so years. When regular vets thought it was more important to go home than to take care of a sick pet and when vets ate so busy they can't get to you for a couple of days, Midland never pushes you out the door or puts you off. They are caring and compassionate for you and your pets. I would recommend them over any other emergency clinic. Read Less

I had rescued a stray and took him here 2 be scanned 4 a chip which he didnt have but the ladies were beyond helpful and friendly. I also chatted with a couple in the waiting room and they had nothing but good things 2 say.Read Less
