I have taken my dog to My Pet's Animal Hospital Alcoa since 2016 without a problem. My dog's last visit there was so terrible that we will now be switching my 8.5 y/o English bulldog to a different v...
I have taken my dog to My Pet's Animal Hospital Alcoa since 2016 without a problem. My dog's last visit there was so terrible that we will now be switching my 8.5 y/o English bulldog to a different vet. My dog was seen by a new vet named Brittany Bottoms. I was told by this vet that the diet previously recommended by a different vet at this practice could be causing my dog to have health problems. I was told that the otc medication recommended by this practice was not effective treatment. I was misled re a growth aspiration and cytology review. After spending almost $600.00 this vet emailed me (this practice has always called) to tell me the aspiration was inconclusive and that when 'I could afford' to have the growth removed and sent off that was recommended. I contacted the office manager following this incident and was basically told the cytology is 'hit or miss' and that I could be issued a credit. After expressing that I no longer trusted this practice due to this experience and would not be bringing my dog back, I was still only offered a credit and no refund. I refused the credit and got my dog's medical records. The records by Dr. Brittany Bottoms we're inaccurate. She falsified these documents because she was aware of my disappointment in her service. Flea/tick/hw management was never mentioned to me, but she documented that my dog was not on any and that I declined treatment. She documented 3 medications were offered that were not. A chest X-ray was mentioned but not in detail and it was not explained what we were ruling out or looking for. After playing email/phone tag with the office manager for a week and not being called back on my last attempt, I felt it was imperative to warn others about this vet. After being a loyal customer/patient for 7 years and recommending this vet to others, I will now be letting everyone know to go somewhere else.

Poor communication, overpriced and could not follow simple directions when it came to grooming. Asked them to not shave the dog but trim and they shaved the dog.

The Drs. and Staff are very sensitive to each pet's needs. They always have time to answer questions - or find someone else who can. I was even able to look into the microscope when my Whoodle, Diamond, was sick. She's always so eager to get out of the vehicle for greetings when we arrive.

I've been using this place for years. My dog is older and harder to work with. They always make sure she's treated well, even when she isn't acting like the best dog. The prices are really fair and the people are very nice. It was easy to develop trust with them and that has been comforting over the years.

I had just had my 1 year old goldendoodle for about a month, and she really needed a haircut! My Pet's Animal Hospital offered the best price for the grooming, so I decided to give them a try. It was a great experience! My pup looks great, they followed my instructions perfectly, she didn't seem to be scared or bothered by the experience at all, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I had asked a question about which brush to use on her at home, but the groomer had already left for the day. The next day, before I even had a chance to think about calling, the staff called and let me know they had asked the groomer the question and they gave me a detailed answer. Very positive experience for about half the price of Petsmart. We'll definitely be back!

We recently adopted a boxer and just wanted him checked out for parasites and treated for fleas. That's exactly what I got. I was not pressured into buying products or services I didn't want at the time. Everyone was so friendly from the moment we walked in the door. the Tech and Vet were both so great with both my dogs and answered every question I had. To make the visit even better IT WAS CHEAP!!! My Pets Animal Hospital is our new vet home for sure. I wont go anywhere else with my fur babies again.

I had the worst experience of my life dealing with the staff and veterinarian who treated my dog for the last time yesterday. We first took him in for severe pain & mobility issues over a week ago. Dr. Brooks did lab work that took days to return, gave him no pain medication and treated him for a condition he did not have. As a result of this negligent behavior we had to put him to sleep. My dog is dead now because of them!! I'm already in the process of reporting them to the licensing board for the state of TN. Avoid this hospital. If you love your dog- go anywhere else. The "estimate" they gave us upon returning yesterday after our dogs condition rapidly deteriorated because they misdiagnosed him was $1700. We spent about $200 the week before for NOTHING and they wanted to do three of the same useless tests again! They wouldn't even give him medication for his excruciating pain (turns out his spinal cord was damaged or fractured and cutting off his circulation and nerve endings) or waive the office visit. They did nothing to apologize or even demonstrate basic human compassion... It was disgusting and a horrible way to treat an animal (for people who are supposed to advocate for animals) and very insulting to us- as we have 4 pets they've treated in the past and have spent thousands of dollars there. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Yes, the staff are friendly there, and most of them truly care about your pet. I took my dog there for about 15 months until she began suffering an adverse reaction from prednisone. Dr. Heather told me that the reason she is having difficulty climbing in the car could be because she has a pinched spinal cord, but she wouldn't know until we did x-rays. Then she prescribed pain meds for a condition that she didn't even know if my dog had, and my dog was not exhibiting any signs of being in pain. AND she wanted me to continue the same dose of prednisone! I really got the feeling that it was more about return visits than it was doing what was in the best interest of my dog. Needless to say, I began weaning her off of the prednisone. I will not be returning to mypets. Friendly people, but just take my warnings into consideration.

The doctors have always answered my questions, and worked with me regarding any problems I was having with my dog. The staff really do go above and beyond! We took our dog to be groomed at this location, and was so pleased with the result. We have taken him to several other grooming facilities in the West Knoxville area and not only did we have to pay double the cost, but it never failed that he would come home with skin irritations. Not only did Vickie give him a perfect cut, but they also removed some stitches from a previous surgery (done at an ER) that were suppossed to fall out and never did....free of charge. We will definately be coming back for all of our dogs grooming and because of the helpful and friendly staff we will be using them as our primary vet as well. Thanks so much My Pet's.

I have been using My Pet's Animal Hospital since we moved to Louisville in July. I board my dog there frequently and have my dog and cat groomed there as well. I also take my pets there for vet services. I have been very pleased with the services provided! The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Sam does a good job of explaining things and giving my pets a through exam. The groomer always does an excellent job and is very reasonably priced. My dog always seems happy and well taken care of when I board her. They have great coupons and have a special card that you can earn points and get cash back! I highly recommend them!

The next day, before I even had a chance to think about calling, the staff called and let me know they had asked the groomer the question and they gave me a detailed answer. Very positive experience for about half the price of Petsmart. We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful place to take your animal. The staff is well-informed and friendly. I was greeted immediately upon entering. The doctors and nurse were eager to help my cat when I brought up my concerns, and they explained the process in a way I could understand. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends or anyone needing a place to take their animal for care.

They have great rapport with our cats, keeping them as calm as can be expected when they are in for their checkups. The staff are all first rate, and Dr. Heather is especially good.

I always take my two cats here. One is very high anxiety, and My Pets knows how to handle her to make her as comfortable as possible. They are knowledgable and respectful and never disappoint!

Dr. Jackie is the most knowledgeable Vet I have ever met and we are beyond lucky to have her caring for our fur babies.

We recently adopted a boxer and just wanted him checked out for parasites and treated for fleas. That's exactly what I got. I was not pressured into buying products or services I didn't want at the time. Everyone was so friendly from the moment we walked in the door. the Tech and Vet were both so great with both my dogs and answered every question I had. To make the visit even better IT WAS CHEAP!!! My Pets Animal Hospital is our new vet home for sure. I wont go anywhere else with my fur babies again.

We recently lost or oldest baby girl DIxie Belle, and the staff comforted us and treated our departed kitty with dignity and respect. We have always felt welcomed by the friendly and caring staff, and our kitties like them too. Diagnosis and treatment is very good, and we trust My Pet's with the health of our kitties.

I had the worst experience of my life dealing with the staff and veterinarian who treated my dog for the last time yesterday. We first took him in for severe pain & mobility issues over a week ago. Dr. Brooks did lab work that took days to return, gave him no pain medication and treated him for a condition he did not have. As a result of this negligent behavior we had to put him to sleep. My dog is dead now because of them!! I'm already in the process of reporting them to the licensing board for the state of TN. Avoid this hospital. If you love your dog- go anywhere else. The "estimate" they gave us upon returning yesterday after our dogs condition rapidly deteriorated because they misdiagnosed him was $1700. We spent about $200 the week before for NOTHING and they wanted to do three of the same useless tests again! They wouldn't even give him medication for his excruciating pain (turns out his spinal cord was damaged or fractured and cutting off his circulation and nerve endings) or waive the office visit. They did nothing to apologize or even demonstrate basic human compassion... It was disgusting and a horrible way to treat an animal (for people who are supposed to advocate for animals) and very insulting to us- as we have 4 pets they've treated in the past and have spent thousands of dollars there. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Yes, the staff are friendly there, and most of them truly care about your pet. I took my dog there for about 15 months until she began suffering an adverse reaction from prednisone. Dr. Heather told me that the reason she is having difficulty climbing in the car could be because she has a pinched spinal cord, but she wouldn't know until we did x-rays. Then she prescribed pain meds for a condition that she didn't even know if my dog had, and my dog was not exhibiting any signs of being in pain. AND she wanted me to continue the same dose of prednisone! I really got the feeling that it was more about return visits than it was doing what was in the best interest of my dog. Needless to say, I began weaning her off of the prednisone. I will not be returning to mypets. Friendly people, but just take my warnings into consideration.

The staff is very loving and affectionate towards my pets and the hospital is always CLEAN. The prices are fantastic.....very good value! They always take the time to explain things to me and never perform a test without my consent. They are my forever animal hospital!!!!!!!! .

With friendly and knowledgeable doctors and staff, I have a wonderful experience every time we visit My Pet's Animal Hospital. I am greeted immediately upon entering the building each and every time, and my dog is treated like one of the vet's own. The doctors have always answered my questions, and worked with me regarding any problems I was having with my dog. Assistants and other staff members are very knowledgeable and eager to help in any way they can...I HIGHLY recommend!!

The staff really do go above and beyond! We took our dog to be groomed at this location, and was so pleased with the result. We have taken him to several other grooming facilities in the West Knoxville area and not only did we have to pay double the cost, but it never failed that he would come home with skin irritations. Not only did Vickie give him a perfect cut, but they also removed some stitches from a previous surgery (done at an ER) that were suppossed to fall out and never did....free of charge. We will definately be coming back for all of our dogs grooming and because of the helpful and friendly staff we will be using them as our primary vet as well. Thanks so much My Pet's.

I have been using My Pet's Animal Hospital since we moved to Louisville in July. I board my dog there frequently and have my dog and cat groomed there as well. I also take my pets there for vet services. I have been very pleased with the services provided! The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Sam does a good job of explaining things and giving my pets a through exam. The groomer always does an excellent job and is very reasonably priced. My dog always seems happy and well taken care of when I board her. They have great coupons and have a special card that you can earn points and get cash back! I highly recommend them!
