When our kittens got sick shortly after we acquired them we went looking for the nearest vet and wound up here. The staff are nice and the facility is easy on the eyes but I didn't find the vet impressive. Maybe it's just me but she didn't seem particularly concerned with my pets plight. She still recommended a laundry list of expensive treatments and wound up having to haggle about which items were or were not necessary despite already being thoroughly stressed out.

Do not take your animal friends to get their nails trimmed here.. I drove at that way to let them hurt my dog Rambo. Then they didn't even file his nails. The nails were uneven, jagged and he lost a lot of blood!!
We had been customers for almost 5 years.
I had already disliked their customer service.
Bad energy.
This will be our last time.
They played it off like it was no big deal, and the nurse promised him a large chew stick, which she conveniently forgot.
I wanted to treat him for Valentine's day, not traumatize him! I'm so shaken up.

Our first experience was great, a male tech actually held my 100 pound bulldog for his shots, no muzzle things went perfect. He did not growl once. Today I took him back, one month later to get the shots we didn't get last month. Two female techs muzzled him even though I told them about our experience last time. He was backed into a corner for his shots andwhen it was time to take blood he growled at them (still muzzled) they stopped what they were doing took his muzzle off and left the room. They came back and said they would no longer see my dog as a patient. He was aggressive and they have a zero tolerance policy. If you have a large dog I would not recommend this place.

I took my Chihuahua there and they wouldn't treat her because she was barking at them and they were afraid she would bite. I believe they should know how to handle agressive dogs especially a tiny 4 pound Chihuahua. Pet-Co at Market Place in Antioch had no problem grinding her nails and even held her in their arms and drew blood for a heartworm check. Well I guess I'll have to go to Pet-Co from now on.

I called about 12 vets around town to get quotes on a declaw for my cat. This vet was the cheapest, and also one of few that would do all four paws. They did an excellent job on the surgery. They said it could take 1-2 weeks for my cat to fully recoverv since he is older (1 year), but it only took about 4-5 days. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the lack of communication from them. I was told I'd get a call when he was out of surgery, and I didn't. He had to stay overnight and I didn't even get a call the next day about picking him up. I just showed up and brought him home, but I thought that was odd. In summary, the people were very nice there and they did great work. On the downside, I think they need to work on understanding the pet/owner relationship, ie that we want to know that our pet is okay after a surgery, even if it is a minor one.

Love this vet!! They treat my pets like their own and are thorough. They take their time and do not rush you out the door. Every detail of my pets care was explained. Dr. Van even took time to show me that other organs in my baby were healthy and that he had good strong bones and assured me that we were taking good care of him. We could not ask for a better vet and would not take any of out pets anywhere else.

My yorkie had his foot stepped the night before and I needed him to be seen right away because he was limping around. I wanted to take him as early in the morning because I had to be at work at ten. I had called every surrounding area within the area to see if they will be able to see him immediately and they said the earliest they can see him was at twelve. I called Priest Lake Veterinary and they had said they same thang but had heard him crying in the back ground and said for me to bring him in at eight. Upon arival they saw us very quickly and didn't have to waite to see the actual doctor. He was very friendly with him and was able to diagnoise him on the spot. There prices were also was very affordable.

The doctors at Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital (Drs. Pennington, McCullom, Lucas, & Ollis) are all excellent. I wouldn't take my two pugs and four cats anywhere else! I especially appreciate Dr. Pennington's e-mail newsletters. These doctors and their talented staff really care about pets. My husband and I have often wished we could find medical care for ourselves that was a competent and caring as what our pets get at Priest Lake. I highly recommend any of the veterinarians at this clinic.

When our kittens got sick shortly after we acquired them we went looking for the nearest vet and wound up here. The staff are nice and the facility is easy on the eyes but I didn't find the vet impressive. Maybe it's just me but she didn't seem particularly concerned with my pets plight. She still recommended a laundry list of expensive treatments and wound up having to haggle about which items were or were not necessary despite already being thoroughly stressed out.

I took my Chihuahua there and they wouldn't treat her because she was barking at them and they were afraid she would bite. I believe they should know how to handle agressive dogs especially a tiny 4 pound Chihuahua. Pet-Co at Market Place in Antioch had no problem grinding her nails and even held her in their arms and drew blood for a heartworm check. Well I guess I'll have to go to Pet-Co from now on.

I called about 12 vets around town to get quotes on a declaw for my cat. This vet was the cheapest, and also one of few that would do all four paws. They did an excellent job on the surgery. They said it could take 1-2 weeks for my cat to fully recoverv since he is older (1 year), but it only took about 4-5 days. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the lack of communication from them. I was told I'd get a call when he was out of surgery, and I didn't. He had to stay overnight and I didn't even get a call the next day about picking him up. I just showed up and brought him home, but I thought that was odd. In summary, the people were very nice there and they did great work. On the downside, I think they need to work on understanding the pet/owner relationship, ie that we want to know that our pet is okay after a surgery, even if it is a minor one.

From one side, they were taking care of my pets for a few years and everything was fine. From another side, my dog was going through a very complicated labor, but they assured me everything is fine (over the phone. I called them, because I wanted to bring my dog in, but they said there is no need to). As a result, I waited too long and took her to another hospital where she died of infection. I should have not listened to them and should've gone with my guts!

Love this vet!! They treat my pets like their own and are thorough. They take their time and do not rush you out the door. Every detail of my pets care was explained. Dr. Van even took time to show me that other organs in my baby were healthy and that he had good strong bones and assured me that we were taking good care of him. We could not ask for a better vet and would not take any of out pets anywhere else.

My yorkie had his foot stepped the night before and I needed him to be seen right away because he was limping around. I wanted to take him as early in the morning because I had to be at work at ten. I had called every surrounding area within the area to see if they will be able to see him immediately and they said the earliest they can see him was at twelve. I called Priest Lake Veterinary and they had said they same thang but had heard him crying in the back ground and said for me to bring him in at eight. Upon arival they saw us very quickly and didn't have to waite to see the actual doctor. He was very friendly with him and was able to diagnoise him on the spot. There prices were also was very affordable.

The doctors at Priest Lake Veterinary Hospital (Drs. Pennington, McCullom, Lucas, & Ollis) are all excellent. I wouldn't take my two pugs and four cats anywhere else! I especially appreciate Dr. Pennington's e-mail newsletters. These doctors and their talented staff really care about pets. My husband and I have often wished we could find medical care for ourselves that was a competent and caring as what our pets get at Priest Lake. I highly recommend any of the veterinarians at this clinic.
