Before moving to Birmingham 2 years ago all 4 of my dogs were under the care of Dr. Schoknecht. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the different breeds of dogs that I've had. Everyone there really seems to care about your pet's health. When I come back to visit we still use her when it's possible. Just a few weeks ago she was able to diagnose my dogs torn ACL. At age 1 she thought he would have issues with his hip and knee and now he's 6 years old and has torn both ACL's in the last 10 months. If your looking for a great Vet you should give them a try.

Dr. Monica Schoknecht did a fantastic job removing over 5 cyst on the top of my wonderful boxer's head and a few more throughout her body. I am really pleased with the work she performed. You cannot tell that my dog had any form of surgery. My boxer (Roxy) used to have a self image issue - well she didn't, I just imaged she did - but not anymore, she believes that she is the finest dog on the block.

My cats get pretty stressed about going to the vet, but as soon as Dr. Monica comes in the room, they are all purrs. She has such a way with animals and genuinely cares. The prices are reasonably, and my cats are always happy when they get home.
We took my 16 year old dog to be euthanized, and Dr. Monica and her staff made things so much easier. She let us know that we were doing the right thing and gave us reasons why. Good woman.

Took my dog here three times for the same problem. All three time i was told it was a different problem, charged for a full office visit, and was told to bring the dog back in 10 days if not better (to be charged full price again)! The staff was rude and the vets uncaring. Finally had to go to another vet (one time) to get the problem solved. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Before moving to Birmingham 2 years ago all 4 of my dogs were under the care of Dr. Schoknecht. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the different breeds of dogs that I've had. Everyone there really seems to care about your pet's health. When I come back to visit we still use her when it's possible. Just a few weeks ago she was able to diagnose my dogs torn ACL. At age 1 she thought he would have issues with his hip and knee and now he's 6 years old and has torn both ACL's in the last 10 months. If your looking for a great Vet you should give them a try.

Dr. Monica Schoknecht did a fantastic job removing over 5 cyst on the top of my wonderful boxer's head and a few more throughout her body. I am really pleased with the work she performed. You cannot tell that my dog had any form of surgery. My cats get pretty stressed about going to the vet, but as soon as Dr. Monica comes in the room, they are all purrs. She has such a way with animals and genuinely cares. The prices are reasonably, and my cats are always happy when they get home.

All three time i was told it was a different problem, charged for a full office visit, and was told to bring the dog back in 10 days if not better (to be charged full price again)!
