I've been taking my two dogs to Dr. Tomlinson since he purchased Noah's Ark Animal Hospital many years ago. We are very happy about the care our dog's have received. Dr. T's surgical skills are simply outstanding - much better than most Vet's we've used in the past. We find his approach conservative and will not prescribe med's or treatments indiscriminately, especially those which could have a long-term negative affect. His approach is friendly and takes enough time with you to answer any questions you might have. If you're looking for a good general practice Vet who charges reasonable prices, I recommend that you consider Dr. T. Read Less

I had the privilege of meeting Dr. T just some months ago, and I can promise that you will look extensively to find someone more sincere, caring, or passionate about animals and their owners. I myself share the same passion for my animals and can relate to the daily challenges of working in the animal health field. Do you know the hardest part about being a veterinarian opposed to being an MD? Well besides familiarizing yourself with hundreds of animals' anatomy, physiology, and their effective treatment methods? Your patients can't talk and often times animal care is on a budget. Proverbs 10 tells us that "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animals." Dr. T has made this his daily ambition. We took our pet to this clinic, (which we used for years when Suzanne Franks was the vet there) to have the vet take a look at two very visible spots on her snout. He indicated that they were nothing to worry about and prescribed a 10-day regiment of antibiotics "just in case". We were examining the spots a couple of days after the vet visit and realized that one of them was a tick- thankfully it was dead as it was about the same size it was when the vet had examined her- we carefully removed it and placed it in a ziplock to I could show it to the vet and discuss why he did not catch it.
I was unable to stop by the clinic so I phoned them to discuss. The outcome of that conversation was unacceptable- he told me that IF it had been a tick and he saw it then he would have removed it. He indicated that he examined her TWICE- and even put a muzzle on her to trim her nails- which would have gone directly over the area where the tick was located. It was visible to the naked eye when we took her into his office- I am uncertain as to how anyone could have missed it that did indeed examine the dog. When I expressed my alarm that he had missed it he responded in a sarcastic tone that he was sorry then he asked me "what is it that you want me to do about it?"
After paying this man good money to examine my dog I was appalled by his lack of concern for his mistake. I will not be taking our pets to him any longer and would recommend that you carefully consider before you take yours there either.
This clinic was wonderful when Suzanne Franks ran it- be aware that she is no longer there and that it is not being run as it once was.

My dog Brooklynn just past based off of a misdiagnosis from this vet! My mother asked the doctor to check the dog for worms and find out why my dog has not been her jovial self. The vet then told my mom that my dog had no worms and that she was just fat and sold her some 50 dollar dog food. My dog had two sets of worms and diabetes. After her visit, the very next day my dog's nose started bleeding. We took her to a vet in Memphis where my dog's worms were found and that vet got the bleeding to stop. A month later my dog stopped eating and she was taken to another animal hospital where we found out that the dog was diabetic. We left her at that animal hospital to become hydrated and start a regiment to potentially get her back on track. She died that day! I called him. He refuses to care about what he has done. He is a menace to the profession and should not take the fact that he is poor human physician out on innocent animal who can not talk. My kitten had managed to escape out of the back door at home and was inevitably hit by a car. I took her in to Noah's Ark and had her all checked out. She had fluid in her lungs and a leg that was severely broken. The Vet gave me the options of putting a pin in her leg now that would later have to be replaced or having the leg removed. And if I wasn't able to pay for the procedure(s) they would take my kitten from me and adopt her out to someone else. They kept the clinic very unsanitary, sometimes leaving animal hair where they would perform their next exam. The entire place reeked of dirty animals. If you are going out of town, or need to take your pet in for any medical needs, please do not go here. Read Less

My dogs and cats have been coming to this clinc for 6 years now. I do not know of any other vet in town that would invest her own money into a stray program. I have adopted 4 out of my 6 pets from her. All my animals were spayed/neutered, fully vetted and kept on flea and heartworm prevention while here at Noah's Ark . The clinic is a very Christian oriented place. They are always willing to ask you how your family is and how your days have been as well as care for your furry children. They are very good about recognizing you and your pet when you call or come in. They are always willing to help in any situation if they are able to. I have spent many nights down there after hours while they have worked on my pets to where I did not have to be sent to a pet emergency clinic. They are always willing to do all the preliminaries prior to the emergency room treatment if needed. A lot of other clinics send you out the door right when they close up. To me that does not show that the other vet clinics care due to the fact that they do not want to be bothered by the inconvenience of staying after hours to care for a sick or injured pet. They have always been able to work around my schedule also in regards to bringing in my pets. I may have to drop off due to the fact that they have scheduled appointments but they always see my animals that day. It may seem chaotic and hectic at times in there, but people assume that a vet clinic is like a regular medical doctors office. Appointments can be haulted due to emergencies that come in or other sick animals that need urgent care at that time. I am very strict in regards to my pets care and I want to be spoken to as a person and not just the 2:00pm appointment of the day. They are always willing to answer questions on anything you may have for them. I love them and would not put the care of my animals in any other vet in town. I only want the care of my animals in Dr Franks hands. They are very caring individuals and alot of people take them for granted. You will not find a more caring, compassionate, and qualified staff and veterinarians in town other than at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. I also like the fact that I see the same staff there. They have very hard working and loyal employees and my pets and I will continue to be faithful to them no matter what may come about. They truely are and deserve a 5 star rating in my book. EXCELLENT CARE AND STAFF. Read Less

We've taken our pets here for about 8 months, and a combination of many small things has left us wanting to change vets. Many times when we have an appointment, we still have to wait to be seen (once for a whole hour). I still don't know who our vet is because nobody ever introduces themselves as the vet, the tech, etc, and we see someone different everytime! They are always very busy and appear overbooked and disorganized. When we call for minor emergencies, we are told to drop off the pet in the morning, and it will be worked in during the day, and we can pick it up at night. They need to leave space in their schedule for last-minute appts like this. Its inconvenient to make two trips there in one day, and we hate to leave the pets in their kennel all day for a 15 minute visit with the vet. Also, when one pet was spayed, she came down with worms two days later. She never goes outdoors, and we don't know where else she could've been exposed to it except at the vet. Then her incision got infected. We just feel its time to switch to somewhere that has better service. Read Less

Our dog was dropped off the day before Christmas Eve, and picked up the day after Christmas. When we picked our dog up, he had severe eye infection, terrible ear infection and a skin infection. We left six bags of food (one bag per meal), but only one and a half bag was fed to our dog. Our dog looked neglected, shocked and traumatized when we picked him up. Although we were offered by the vet to take a look at the dog and fee waivers for our dog?s stay and medical expenses, we will NOT recommend anyone to put your beloved pet to this Animal Hospital. It was a horrifying kennel experience, and we don?t want anyone to go through it. This place is very unorganized and dirty. We can?t believe that it?s still in business. Read Less

What a mess! Noah's Ark had terrible service all around. I never saw the same staff member, so it was hard for me to remember who I talked to. There was little communication because they were so disorganized. I did not feel confident leaving my dog there for the weekend, but I had no choice at the time. When I returned to pick her up, she smelled terribly of urine, as did her blanket (that they promised to wash). Then there was an issue with cost (which was never told to me up front), and the guy that was there for Sunday pickup did not know how to run the computer, so I could not get an itemized invoice. I had to call the next day to find out that there was a problem with her vaccinations and they had over vaccinated my dog because they did not double-check the records. Never again... I know my dog is just a dog, but I am paying for services rendered, and their quality is terrible! And, they NEVER apologized. What a joke. The place is a pigstye. Read Less

The staff here were excellent when I needed to bring in my dog for an emergency visit. Though it was near closing time, they took the time to make me and my dog feel better.

Read Less

I have been going to Noah's Ark for over 5 years and have found the doctor and staff to be outstanding. From routine care to emergency care they have always been top notch! I especially like the fact that this clinic has over the years been actively involved in dog rescue programs and has literally saved hundred of dogs at considerable expense to the clinic. If you want to take your loved one to a vet who sincerely cares for you and your pet then you have that at Noah's Ark. I have a diabetic pug who we adore and anytime there have been scary times they have always been right there for us -everytime. Read Less

Dr. Franks is a great doctor and will do everything possible to give your animal the best care. She is very skilled in her profession and truly loves animals. This office keeps, feeds, and cares for many homeless animals and tries to find them homes. The fees are fair when someone knows the cost to run this business. My dog has been well taken care of for over five years and I wouldn't take her anywhere else. Read Less

Picked up my dogs from boarding and had been overcharged by $300 and no one could take time to talk to me about it becasue it was so crazy and unorganized there. One of my dogs was sick after staying there. Never got a returned phone call after I left several messages. After comparing medicine and visit prices at our new vet this place is ridiculous.

Save your money and bring your pet somewhere better. Read Less
