Dr. Kelli has been wonderful with my fur daughter, Nahla who is 9.5 years old. She got a hematoma on her ear flap that required surgery. Before she would do the surgery she wanted to do blood work to be sure she was healthy enough for surgery and anisthesia at her age. My for baby was also having a lot of skin issues and loss of hair Dr. Kelli felt like it was related to a thyroid issue. She called me the next day early to let me know all of Nahla’s blood work was great! She was excited there were no thyroid issues. She did the surgery and Nahla stayed another night. I could go on & on about how the entire staff went out of their way to take care of our sweet girl. Oh...almost forgot they will also treat my small farm babies as well! Vet declined to do a hip and joint exam on my dog because I was not one of their regular patients. My regular vet is retiring and they do not have a x Ray machine. Very rude. Hung up on me after asking what the vets name was. This particular vets customer service is pathetic. When I called back to get vets name they did not want to tell me. I really had to think about how I wanted to write this and in lieu of going to a peer review board, I decided to do this. Let me first say, I took my 2 month old puppy to see Dr Haddock and had never had any issues in the time I took my sweet Cassi there. (She's now 9 months old). He was always very gentle with her and always very thorough with his exams. However, I was speaking with a friend of mine who is a vet out of state, and we were just talking about flea and tick preventative and different options when I mentioned I still had several months worth of Heartworm preventative since I was only giving her half a pill (at Dr Haddock's direction ) at that point my world was enlightened I should say. I was told that if, God forbid, my sweet girl were to of gotten heartworms that the manufacturer wouldn't cover her medical expenses due to me mis dosing and not following the label directions. (Now I know I should have read the dosing label on the box I'll own up to that but I followed the direction of my vet) fast forward a few months and I send my husband to Brainerd Hills Veterinary Hospital to get Bravecto for my puppy's flea preventative. He calls me to tell me they don't have that medication in her weight range or even the one for the next weight range up. (She's only 13.4 pounds) so they sold my husband Simparica which is fine, it only lasts 5 weeks as opposed to the 12 of the Bravecto, and wouldn't have it for a couple of days. No biggie. However, here's where my problem lies and why I am leaving this review. They sold my husband Simparica for a 22-44 pound dog and told him to just cut in half! If you got this far see above about the heartworm pill for the issue I'm having. The next day I took it back and calmly explained to Dr. Prince who was at the desk, that I wanted a refund and that I was upset with how they sold my husband a flea preventative for a dog double the size of my puppy. She continued to argue with me about how Dr Haddock was probably trying to save my Husband some money. When I explained that I didn't ask for that and how my trust was broken with them she continued to argue and say she would just make a note in my file. Dr Haddock then came out from the back and tried to argue with me that he was just saving my husband $60. I'm sorry but trying to save me money at the cost of my puppy's health is just not acceptable and I caution anyone who uses this vet office to make sure you know that even tho they will try to be economical for you it comes at a risk. I'm sad to say I was looking to get my puppy spayed in the future but unfortunately it will not be with this office. If I can't trust them to dose her correctly with preventative meds how can I trust them with her in surgery? Read Less

I brought in a very fussy kitty at 5:45 one evening for a nail trim, and after going to the bathroom on the table and scratching the doctor he and his staff still stayed and walked me through several treatments AND ended up clipping his nails, staying nearly an hour past closing. This is the kind of service you just don't see anymore. I'll recommend them to anyone. Read Less

This vet has no clue what she is doing. I paid $300 for her medicine and her blood test and I was given a time I would get a call about my dog's blood test results. She was a few hours late getting our test results back to us so I called and she said she only had half of the results (but didn't call and tell me there were any back yet) so I waited a few more hours for her to call back, she never did. I tried to call back but they were closed (she never told me she was closing soon and that she wouldn't be calling back). I drove down to the vet and they were both there and had no answers for me at this point so they offered to email it to me sometime the next day. That afternoon she called me from her personal number and said the lab gave her a verbal confirmation that everything was okay(which I believe she was only guessing and hoping for the best because she told me they had a machine down and would have to rerun the tests). The next morning she printed out my results, took pictures of them with her phone and texted it to me, I asked her to email them as well and she completely ignored me. Our dog's problem persisted the next day and we called to see what we should do and she told us she would do another blood test because she wasn't sure what else to do (her words, not mine). Started taking my small dog here last year. Even though he is only 7 lbs. he can be a hand full to work on. Dr Haddock is 'GREAT' - patient, caring and a very good Dr. I also started using their grooming service. He doesn't like his feet worked on. There were several times I noticed his nails were not trimmed after grooming. Nails are always done here and also rounded out smooth. No split and scratchy ends. Would highly recommend. Read Less

A kitten showed up at my house with a broken arm, and I called the Brainerd Hills Veterinary Hospital asking if it was something they could help with. The first person I spoke to was polite, but when I called back the second person I spoke to was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She interrupted me repeatedly - before I could even tell her why I was calling - and just said "sorry, we're just not going to be able to help you" over and over. She also said "can you not just keep working with another vet?" NOT IMPRESSED. If they treat animals any way they treat people, I would not trust them with my pets! Read Less

I have been to many veterinarians over the years and different towns. I have never had one that truly cared about my pet more than my wallet until I came here. They have the best interest in mind when it comes to caring for your animal and they aren't just trying to rack up a big bill. I have had experience with both Dr. Prince and Dr. Haddock and I can't say enough good things about their office. I will never bring my furkids anywhere else. Read Less

I had taken my dog to another vet with itching and hair loss (what we thought was just allergies) the other vet had me giving her allergy pills. The hair loss was getting no better. I took her to Dr. Prince and Haddock and they immediately checked her for a thyroid issue. Wow they were right and started her on medication. Within a month she felt better itching improved and hair returned. Now she is back to her beautiful self, thanks to the vets here. Read Less

I have been doing business with these folks since they were on Lee Hwy (about 8.5 Years). I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for these 2 Doctors. They go above and beyond taking care of all my 4 legged family members. One time my dog was attacked and after surgery they kept him every day during the day while I was at work, just to make sure he was going to make it.
