Turns out, she was fine after I changed her food and now very healthy. Not really sure at this moment. All I know is my dog died during her stay when I boarded her. Was told her blood pressure was high and she had a seizure. I wonder how much stress she had to be in for all of this and really fear for how lonely and miserable she must have been. :( Sadie was 15 years and her time was coming, I know. Just feels like they could have helped her some how not to get so stressed that it would cause her body to respond the way it did. No one really is telling me how her stay was before she passed away. This was my first time boarding her here too so just wish I didn't board her. Maybe she would still be here if I hadn't. Read Less

This was actually my first visit to a Vet center. I recently adopted a shelter dog and with the adoption I received a free vet exam. The pet adoption place told me this is where they recommend people to go. I made an appointment online, which was great. We arrived before our appointment time as I figured I would have to fill out some paperwork. The space inside is really nice. Clean and well organized. There were 2 techs and their "assistants" 2 dogs. So cute.We went back to a room and Owney was excited to look around and smell everything. After some questions, he was taken back to an exam room and then the doctor came out and said he looked good. I knew I would have to get some heartworm meds and flea meds for Owney and the tech was very good at explaining the choices. I went with her recommendations as I really don't know anything about them. She did recommend one medication that wasn't as expensive as the one he was currently on. I paid for 6 mos worth of both for $190 (ouch - but not the worst I figured I'd spend). I will look at different options but this was fine for now.I do appreciate that they took the time out to explain everything to me. I really don't know anything about medical care for my dog as this is the first dog I've ever had on my own. I will be back to get his vaccinations in a few months. Read Less
