Best Vet Ever! Most Amazing Staff! We started seeing Dr. Ramey in 1999 and will never leave her as long as we have pet babies. We currently live in the DC area and drive our dogs (716 miles, each way) to Dr. Ramey for all their needs, they've never been elsewhere. We wouldn't trust the health of our pets to anyone else. Her practice is where we board our babies as well. It may not be a 5 star pet resort, but they are safe and well cared for. That is more important than having a tv and remote camera in their room. I took him to petsmart to have him checked out .. while they were helpful they were very costly and wanted to sedate my dog to pull his nail off which was also going to be very costly. I decided to wait to take him to my vet which I did today. They accommodated me by letting me drop my pup off sedated him and took his nail off and also cut his nails shorter. We took our 8 yr old Black and Tan coon hound here to get a growth on his eye checked out. The staff was very friendly. However, we spent about 45 min in the waiting room because they had an emergency come up. We called at 8am and got a 9:15 appointment, but didn't get seen until 10. I understand emergencies, but a warning would have been nice, especially since we call only 1 an hour prior and they said the emergency occurred early that morning. Besides that, the vet techs and vet herself was great. Very thorough. The exam was the cheapest in town, however, surgery was going to cost $500! We are going to a vet back home where it's about $100. Read Less

This was the first vet I tried in the clarksville area after calling 12 other vets, I had read the good reviews online and thought I would give them a try. I came here with my dog and she growled at the vet once she walked in the room, which was a red flag (my dog has never growled at anyone ever, she loves everyone) they couldn't figure out that she had seasonal allergies and a hot spot from excessive licking, they said it was an "infection" and gave me a power to put on it and some pills. I came back twice to get more powder and my dog never got better after months of trying with them. Since she wasn't getting better I went to two different vets in the area who knew exactly what the problem was the first time and they gave me a cream the healed it within three days! When they asked me what medicine this vet told me to use they were shocked, they said it is Out Dated powder that Does NOT work, it only dries up the wetness, but it Won't cure the problem, it actually makes it take longer to heal. I was outraged to hear they were only making the issue worse. Don't waist your time and money with this vet, they couldn't do anything good when I tried them. Read Less

Dr. Ramey seemed nice at first but after a few visits she started getting really rude. She would say snide comments and remarks that were unprofessional. I was in there all the time cause one of my dogs have real bad skin allergies. She told me my boyfriend was expendable. And acted as if I didn't take good care of my animals, at times. I have spent thousands of dollars in that vet alone on blood allergy testing, allergy shots, office exams, medications, heartworm prevention, flea and tick med. ect... I took my dogs there everytime I had any problems with their health or just for regular stuff like rabies vaccinations. But when it came to my dogs allergies, she would almost always make me come in and pay even though it was a recurring health problem. I had taken my one dog in there for recurring skin problems to get medication 10 times in one year. That's how bad it was. She would tell me I have to see him to give him the medication (antibiotics). I asked her couldn't she just refill the prescription on many occasions but she would say no. I finally got fed up with having to shell out so much cash in there. And finally found out that there are vets that will refill a prescription just like for humans. They just need to see the dog once and get his medical records and then can refill prescriptions for a year. Thank God I found out that that is possible. But as for all gods creatures the staff was always really nice but the doctor not so much. The creatures are Godly but the doctor is not! Read Less
