Me & my 125lb baby Lincoln could NOT have asked for better care and concern than we received from this all star team! They handled our emergency situation professionally and were very efficient in all the testing that they did to figure out what was wrong with him. After all testing came back normal they kept him for the day on an IV, kept me updated with phone calls and monitored him. By the end of the day it's still a mystery as to what happened to him but he is slowly recovering. We had an amazing experience at Animal Hospital. Our dog had a pretty gnarly case of needing her teeth cleaned and her annual vaccinations. They had a quick appointment availability, got her in right away, and let us know of the prices ahead of time. We were never blindsided or cornered in to paying for more than what we wanted- the overall vaccination appointment was even less expensive than the vaccination walk-in clinics nearby. If I was just rating the Dr. it would be 5 stars, however I am rating my total visit.  We just moved here from WA where my dog had the same vet for 9 years, after extensive research and checking this veterinary office had the highest reviews and most recommendations.  Like I said the Dr was wonderful, the staff leaves a lot to be desired.  First, I have a 9 year old flat coated retriever, he may not look old or act old but he is old.  They wanted to put him up on the table, they don't have ones that can rise and lower so they had to lift him up.  We don't lift/pick him up at home because he usually whimpers in pain, he is about 65-70lbs.  This one worker grabs him and heaves him onto the examine table.  He gives a small yelp and looks at me.  I made the appointment for an ear infection and wellness examine.  He was due for some shots in August that I also opted to have done that day.  I explained what happens with his ears, brought his previous medicine, and they had all the information from my vet.  I also wanted the pill version for the flea and tick and an all inclusive heart/intestinal worm medicine they recommended since we live out in the sticks and my dog discovered horse poop, and finally he was limping for a couple of days so a just a quick look over, even though I assumed it was because he had 3 acres for a back yard now.  So, now my dog is on the table, scared and looking crazy.  He is a very loving and calm dog, he doesn't need to be pulled or yanked, however since I was sitting and he has NO IDEA who these people are his instinct is to get closer to Mom.  This tech then pulls the crap out of his collar and says "quit moving"; So I nicely said "you don't have to pull him, Memphis lay down" and he laid down.  Another tech came in and she was much more pleasant, and they got all the preliminary paperwork and work up on Memphis done.  When to Dr comes in he is awesome, I was very happy with him, good "bed" side manner, very nice, showed like he loved his job.  When everything was done and $400 later I have to wait on one med to be made since he is allergic to everything.  They say a 7-10 days and it will be ready, this was on 07/25.  I called on 08/07 to see if they know where his meds are, I am told, Oh they are here already, they think they came in Thursday or Friday.  I live over 30 mins away from the clinic, I don't make it into town everyday.  I was there once on the weekend that had passed and I was there Friday.  I asked why wasn't I called she said oh they would have PROBABLY called you today (Monday) or tomorrow. (Tuesday)... Wow.  So now I am making a special trip to the Vet so I can get the meds, that have already been paid for in full, and when I pick them up and ask when they came in and they all look like deers in the headlights, and why wasn't I called her excuse was it take about 10 days.  I can say because of this interaction I will probably not be going there again.  I may love the Dr. but I will still have to work with this staff and that is not something I want to do again, between the treatment of my 4-legged child - to the not calling when something I already paid for came in was enough for me.  I will continue my hunt for a great Veterinary Hospital that has great Dr's and staff. My husband and I just moved to Clarksville and have already had to take both dogs to the Animal Hospital. We couldn't be more impressed with their service. We took our dog Dax in about a month ago because he broke his canine tooth on some deer antlers , they got him in same day I called and we were able to get the tooth filled for a great price. It's held up wonderfully. Our other dog Jack I had to take in today because His fatty tumor was punctured. They got him right in, cleaned him up, and he's on antibiotics also for a great price. The best Vet clinic I have had the pleasure of visiting. Dr. Hill saw my pups and she and her assistant were fantastic with them. My dogs normally HATE the vet, but they actually enjoyed themselves even while getting shots. The office was very clean and the staff was very professional. Dr. Hill was very knowledgeable and gave me recommendations that were wholesome and organic for my anxious dog and talked through options for my dog who has started having seizures. We have been to other vets in the area and this one has by far exceeded our expectations for friendliness competency. Our animals are healthy and well cared for whenever they have been there for both boarding and vet care. They always receive a complimentary bath before we take them home after boarding. We especially like the fact that they are willing to help us get our dog's back out to the truck whenever we bring them all in at one time. This is a service not experience that other places. I feel like we have tried every veterinary clinic in Clarksville! Why didn't we go here first?!? I can't say enough about Dr Hill and the rest of the staff here. They are very thorough and spent a great deal of time explaining things to us. I learned a lot and feel that my dog was truly cared for. Erming is not very excited about strangers but by the end of the visit she was calm and ok with them holding her, even after they had to take a urine sample with an ultrasound and a needle. Took my 7 week old English Bulldog that has been having some digestive problems lately to Animal Hospital, and the team and Dr. Ben Howard exceeded my expectations. They took preventative measures to make sure my puppy did not have parasites and even prescribed her food to digest easily until her stool becomes normal again. Even though I live on the clear opposite side of Clarksville, I happily drive 30 minutes to take my boys to the Animal Hospital. About a week ago one of my chihuahuas got into a scuffle with a lab which resulted in a damaged cornea and a puncture wound over his eye. Needless to say I was freaking out, but Dr. Howard was on call that night and was amazing. He came in at around 9 pm, cleaned my little guy up and gave him all the meds he needed. Not once did I feel like an inconvenience and he cared for my baby just like it was one of his own. For yearly check ups we've had Dr. Fancher and Dr. Hill who are both equally great and just have a way with my boys. Best vet we've ever had! Read Less

I have been using Animal Hospital to kennel my dogs for several years and am always pleased. My dogs return home in a good mood and looking healthy. I recently switched to them as our vet as well, and have had a great experience. My only complaint would be the costs of boarding. I have 2 large dogs and always board them together in a run. I pay the same price for each dog, and don't get a discount even though they share a space. Other than that, I love them! They know our dogs by name and treat them like family. Read Less

Dr. Fancher has taken great care of our senior dog. He is livelier than he has been in years. And Dr. Hill inherited our crazy puppy, who has been quite a challenge. She has been patient with us while we navigated an injury. As a military family we have seen a fair number of vets. And this clinic, staff and all, is by far the best we have been to. I visited Animal Hospital when my Shih-tzu got an eye infection.  It didn't take long after meeting Dr. Howard to realize that he's very smart and highly skilled.   Not only did he diagnose and treat the eye infection, but he diagnosed and treated a skin issue that I had become resigned to just tolerate since my previous Veterinarian had been unable to give me a single clue as to it's cause or treatment.  The staff was friendly and the office was clean.  I also found the fees to be fair; without any hidden surprises.  They also accepted Discover for payment, which is good to know. I took my dog in because she had a mass in her abdomen but wan't in distress. Dr. Hill recommended and Ultasound and then suggested surgery as soon as possible.  And scheduled for a week out but to bring her in if I saw any signs of distress. Two days later I was back in  and my pup was on the operating table within the hour. Her and Dr. Fancher pretty much saved our dogs life. They are also working with me on the payment. The staff at Animal Hospital has always been very friendly and helpful whenever we've brought our dog Kayla in for appointments (emergency or annual). That is very important to us as our pets are part of the family. Dr Webb is very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable having her manage the health of our canines, especially after she was able to swiftly diagnose an emergency problem (Kayla swallowed a dog toy and developed colitis which is... a nightmare for both pet and owner!) and get our dog right as rain again.
