The staff and vet are really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are reasonably affordable!! I've taken a pet to a different vet and they were treated like an animal, not like family. I do NOT recommend taking your pet here or any of the other branches (Animal House on Dover rd. Is one) owned by the same people. They do not care about your pet, only the money that you'll be spending. The front desk goes through employees faster than a fast food chain, I wonder why. Read Less

We have been taking our dogs to this clinic for 11 years and love this facility. The staff has been very friendly to us from the office staff to technicians and the vets themselves. We have not seen the female vet as yet. Yes, this clinic can be a bit more expensive than some. But, our dogs are rescued collies with illnesses resulting from inbreeding. These vets have recognized the problems and done everything in their power to make our dogs as comfortable as possible.That, to us, is most important. Read Less

My doggie Tobie Keith had been real sick, but Brad Herbick and the staff at this wonderful Vets office have taken such great care of him and me.. I love them and this place.. I will never ever take my fur-babies anywhere but here!! I do believe they care about my babies just as much as I do.. They don't just treat the animals either, I was so nervous and scared about my puppy, but the staff took great care of me too.. I can't say enough great things about them all.. They are fantastic with all five of my fur babies. I have ones ranging from 6 lbs to 167 lbs and no matter what they answer my questions and take time with me. They never seem like I am bothering them with all my questions. If I call with a sick baby they don't hesitate to have me bring them in. Such a great staff, thank you all for everything you do. I have been going here for years and usually have good service but today I was very disappointed. I made an appointment for 2:00 and arrived 10 minutes early. There was a lady with two cats waiting but had not made an appointment. The receptionist told us both we would have a short wait for a room to open up. 30 minutes later another lady with two dogs came in that had never been there and they took her straight back. Then five minutes later they took the other lady who also had no scheduled appointment in before me. They never even looked my way. I got up to leave and told her I would reschedule but she just shrugged her shoulders and said okay. I think it may be time to find a new vet. Read Less

If anyone is looking for a vet I HIGHLY recommend Southside Veterinary Clinic. I have been going to this vet since I became a mom, 5 years ago. Their staff, techs, and receptionists have always been amazing and I have never had an issue. The past two times I have taken my cats to Southside they have seen Dan Cummings. He is AMAZING! Not only is he great with my cats he is also very patient and kind with their anxious mom. I always have a lot of questions/concerns and he actively listens to all of them. A little pricey but the care is worth it. They knew my dogs name, and mine, and greeted us as soon as we walked in after just one other apt. They are great and friendly and my vet is a RAW diet supporter! It's so rare to find a good veterinarian who doesn't try to convince me that kibble it's the only good food! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I made an appointment at another clinic and ended up here by mistake. They saw my cat and treated her immediately. The doctor was extremely nice and answered all of my questions. The prices weren't too bad either, I spent only 100.00 for the visit, a shot, and 2 packs of medication. When I first walked in, as most of the previous comments stated, everything was beautiful inside and out. However, I came to find out that just because the place itself was very inviting did not mean the people were! The girls at the front desk are rude in that they hardly aknowledge you or your pet and when they do they aren't exactly pleasant. The doctor we had was great at first until I found she was not exactly upfront with me at all about the costs of her services. She took it upon herself to do EXTRA procedures during my animal's check up without warning me that they'd cost. I thought this was very unprofessional and quite rude when I found out I was completely over charged. She gave me a money figure of what my animal's medication would cost and it was definitely over that. Why can't they just be upfront? So later I call back to ask if there's any way these charges could be refunded and just as before, the girl on the telephone was not pleasant and acted like I was stupid.
