The experienced team provides personalized wellness plans, regular check-ups, and various treatments tailored to each pet’s needs. Services often include boarding, microchipping, ultrasound, spay/neuter, radiology (x-rays), and diagnostics. They are performed with attention to detail and focus on the animal, which is preventive or responsive. The clinic is well equipped, and the animals are less stressed during visits which results in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Norris Veterinary Animal Hospital is continuously growing as a pillar of the Clinton pet community. Whether it is helping young pets start their lives on the right foot or assisting older ones in managing chronic conditions, the clinic’s professionals are always ready to help. It also encourages local support and responsible pet ownership through learning and development. Norris Veterinary Animal Hospital in Clinton goes beyond medical service delivery by cultivating clinical understanding and transparency for families managing pet health across Tennessee. The first visits aim to assist the animal in getting used to the clinic’s background sounds, lights, and layout. Veterinarians observe several parameters from the onset such as gait approaches, social interactions, hesitation zones, breath modes and tactile reactions. Physical health related aspects to look at include coat condition, hydration, gum color, the ability to move limbs, joint pains, firmness of the abdomen and muscles stability. The owner’s feedback picture is completed by information on recent changes in appetite, grooming routines, interaction pattern, and vocalization. Norris Veterinary Animal Hospital provides the following structured services: lab panels, dental procedures, surgical prep and recovery, diagnostics directed by age group and mapping of preventative wellness. The multi-visit steps have a chart that tracks the dog’s progress; detailed explanations are given for each service. The team helps owners understand body language during recovery and know behavior-communication to identify when they are ready to proceed with home care. The timing of follow-up visits is based on achievement of behavioral landmarks rather than arbitrary calendar dates. It is suggested that owners observe certain behaviors such as sleep patterns, eye contact time, surface preference and mobility level and inform the veterinarian on each return check. This ensures the stability of decision-making processes. Pet families in Clinton and the broader Tennessee area collaborate with Norris Veterinary Animal Hospital as clinical partners from day one.

We had taken our pitbull here for about a year. He had pretty bad skin issues that we were told were caused by allergies. The vet had him on zyrtec, benadryl, and steroid shots. We recently moved and took him to a new vet closer by because his skin still was not getting better after all of that so we wanted a second opinion. Turns out, after a simple test, that he's had a massive bacterial/yeast infection that's gone untreated for an extended period of time because we were told it was just allergies. I'm very disappointed in the care our boy received. Read Less

I have been bringing my dogs here since I moved to Clinton 9 years ago. The staff is very kind and compassionate. My small dog recently got very sick and we had to make the painful decision to end her suffering. Everyone in the office was so kind, I was told to stay as long as I needed, even though the office should have been closed. A few days later we received a beautiful card in which the doctors had written us a very comforting note. I will continue to take my other dog to Norris Animal Hospital because they not only love your animal they love you too! Read Less
