We have visited several vets in the area to bring our precious boxer . We went to Rock N Country Veterinary with our daughter in law when their boxer (who was the brother to our boxer) was having issues and no one was able to find what was going on with him. My daughter in law called and spoke to Paula (the receptionist) she asked what was going on with Chester, they said to bring him in. We saw Dr Sam, she was able to dx Chester , he had boxers heart , he also had other issues which she started treatment for asap. When my daughter in law had questions regarding Chester, Dr. Sam would always call back. Unfortunately Chester lost his battle with his heart disease, we all felt if we had found Rock N Country sooner, Chester might still be with us. I have been taking my pets here for years. I do not trust just anyone for the care of my animals. This is by far one of the best vets in Tennessee. Very professional staff, their vets are willing to take time for you & your animal. They are very busy, which I feel is a sign of how good they are - make an appointment & you won't wait long to be seen. (At times they do encounter an emergency, but even then I was not left waiting too long). Dr. Sam is very nice, knowledgeable, patient and great with our dogs. She took the time to explain everything we need to know. She helped us choose appropriate heartworm and flea/tick treatments and even worked with our mail order choice to purchase the prescriptions since Rock & County could not come close on the price. I would prefer to buy through them but with three dogs I couldn't justify the cost difference. Visit fees are very reasonable. Read Less

I had been going to a vet down the road from me but each visit was over 100.00 dollars or more. I was referred to Rock N Country€ and WOW!! Not only do they know how to care for a duck they treated both ducks and both visits were less than 100.00! They are kind, compassionate and thorough.. I will never go an else! Best place ever! Rock N County ROCKS! With all the pets in our extended family someone from our family sees Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Sam at least once a month. Paula(the receptionist) is kind and friendly and always willing to help! I love the fact that they are honest and practical. I think this comes from them treating both large and small animals. Most recently, we had to take our 10yr old CharlieDog in for major lameness thinking he may have had to put down. Dr Sam gave him a exam and diagnosed him with a infection and now he's like a puppy! This group of vets has saved many of our pets lives! We also take our puppies in for health checks before they go home. I can't tell you the times they have caught something(minor) that the receiving homes vet never find. They are soo thorough and caring for their patients. We have used them for alpacas, Horses and our dogs. Keep up the good work!Read Less

My mother and I walked in with our chihuahua and the staff of 3 were behind the computer talking about something and then they all just stared at us scared like we were there to rob the place and didn't say a word until I started speaking...I felt awkward like maybe they were closed or I was interrupting something...Definitely will choose a friendlier vet. My Llama (Osama Bin Llama) got sick and wouldn't get up friday night. After calling numerous vets on saturday to try to get someone to come out and look at him with everyone telling me no, I was put in contact with Rock n Country vets. I spoke to Paula there who assured me she would speak to the vet to see if they could help. Within a short time they were actually at my house. After examining him and finding he probably had the m-worm and the prognosis being poor, they helped me make the decision to euthanize him. They allowed me to hold him through the process. I can't thank Dr Jennifer Hatcher and Paula enough for not only their kind and compassionate care but for also coming out on a sat afternoon after no one else would help me. Thank you so much!!! Rock N Country diagnosed my dog, Emma, with bladder cancer & said she probably had 195 days to live! It was not suggested as a possibility, but a fact & I had to call for a referral to an oncologist. I took her to Blue Pearl where they did another ultrasound, along with a full exam and cleared her completely! I always believed in Rock N Country & have taken all 3 cats & my wolf dog to them. This was a MAJOR misdiagnosis & very cruel to give such a prognosis! I'm still in shock that they did this to this sweet girl. Needless to say, none of MY animals will ever go there again! Dr. Jennifer is the best. I've never loved a vet more in the 13 years we've had my two beagles. Our baby girl passed away last year and Dr. Jennifer was compassionate, understanding and had Annabella's best interest in mind with every step in her treatment until her passing. Had 3 dogs teeth cleaned. One of them was sent home with the shunt from the iv still in his leg, they told me to pull it straight out if I was comfortable or to bring him back in - but they were only open for a few more minutes. Another dog seemed overly sedated and took several hours to seem awake, then had loose stools for a full day. The third had severe razor burn from the area they shaved for the iv. The interior of their building seems to have a layer of dirt. Their teeth were in fact clean, but it just wasn't a good experience. I'll be going elsewhere even though it's further away. Read Less

Have had to see the business go from good to ? . I had to wait over a week to get the medication prescribed . Again I was told to stop in to get additional meds and again was told they would need to be ordered . After paying a premium price for care , it does not seem logical they can not follow up . Last night Jennifer came to my home and euthanized my horse. It was not easy or pretty. The true test of a professional is that when things are difficult to continue on with determination to accomplish the task. Jennifer did just that. As I sit here in my dining room awaiting the removal service I think how fortunate that Jennifer is my chosen veterinarian. Over the years our relationship has grown and we have become friends. I think that makes me even more fortunate. I have a veterinarian that knows me and my animals, I am not just another appointment in the book. My hope with sharing this message is that others who need rock and country's services will discover what I have- their dedication to the animals well being and the relationship that we have with our pets. Rock n Country is the best!!! I have 3 dogs, and I've never worked with another vet who cared as much about my animals... and me.Dr. Hatcher came highly recommended, and my first visit was an emergency visit. I called first and Dr. Hatcher gave me some suggestions over the phone until I could get to the office. When we made it in, things looked pretty bad... but she kept her cool and went out of her way to try to accommodate our needs and take care of my dog and me (I broke down in tears in the exam room).The entire staff was so comforting and caring, and Dr. Hatcher saved my dog's life. I could tell she truly cared about my dog and not my dollar. After that, I moved all three of my dogs there and made Rock n Country our veterinary home. We love it there! Read Less

STAY AWAY!!!! Don't take your animal to this place. I took my healthy dog and 2hrs later he was dead. All they said was sometimes these things happen, now when would you like to pick up your dog's body!
