Receptionist was very friendly but I honestly did not care for the vet 's bedside manner. He never introduced himself but simply entered the room and said "What do you got?" I showed him the little kitten I found with two wounds her throat. He pulled two fly larvae out of the wounds with tweezers, gave an antibiotic and charged me $94 for a "Full Assessment". When I came home I had to finish the job, more larvae in kitty's skin. I don't consider that a "Full Assessment". I feel like I wasted a lot of money and should have gone somewhere else. Read Less

Dr. Damron saved my 6-month old potbelly pig Rosie's life twice. He treated her for pneumonia when she was a baby. She was unable to breathe and was on her side seizing before I came to White Oak. Then, he treated her for pig erysipelas two weeks ago. Rosie was lethargic and falling on her belly and unable to walk. Thanks to Dr. Damron, Rosie can breathe clearly and waddle around again. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Casey Damron at White Oak Animal Hospital in Fairview, TN since 2003. I currently have two Collies and four cats under his care. Dr. Damron is a fine, compassionate vet who takes excellent care of his patients and their owners. He is very knowledgeable in Eastern and Western medicine and gives treatment choices, the pros and cons of each and the costs when a pet is having problems so the owner can decide what course to take. He is a man of integrity. His prices are fair, and he doesn€t try to up-charge. His staff is amazing, too. Stacy and Chelsea are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and caring. I've been here since Dr. Lowry started this clinic. When he retired, I took his recommendation on Dr. Damron. Dr. Damron and his staff have never failed me. I have taken road dogs, puppies, aging dogs, injured dogs and dogs who were ready for the Rainbow Bridge to them. Dr. Damron has always gone above and beyond for our pets.He will tell you the possibilities, the options for care, refers you when appropriate to specialists and sets about calmly assessing every emergent situation. His knowledge of alternative and Eastern medicine has helped all of my dogs. Pet Tao foods have helped bring very sick dogs back to health and those who just are needing a wet food. Dr. Damron is a scientist, a healer, a surgeon, a realist and an animal lover- who considers what each dog needs and the consequence of any action. We have dogs that cry like children being abused in the exam room, need muzzles and some who are ok with most stuff. 4 dogs and 4 cats who have all had bad starts in life and are all happy and healthy because of White Oak. Stacy and Chelsea make the team complete and they can triage anything and calm down a nervous beast. Bring your wallet! Prices are inflated and Dr. Casey is very unsympathetic to the fact. I took my 12lb minpen in for a "hang nail". His dewclaw had cracked and was hanging loose causing him discomfort. I took him in during normal business hours and walked out with a bill of $217.00. No surgery required, just the removal of the hanging nail. I was in and out with in 30 minutes. I was not made aware of the enormous fees until after the fact. I sent Dr. Casey an email stating that the middle class family can not afford these fees and that they should be informed prior to the services. He only made excuses and offered no regret. There weren't any reviews on Goggle when I made the appointment and this is the FIRST time in my life that I have EVER written a negative post about any person or company. Dr. Damron knows his stuff and really cares about animals. I also love the PET | TAO line of dog food, and have been feeding it to my dogs for years. Another thing I really like is that Dr. Damron offers acupuncture and herbs in lieu of pharmaceuticals. I give White Oak a two thumbs up!Read Less
