Concord Veterinary Hospital in Farragut serves as a veterinary partner for every stage of a pet’s life by providing support to Tennessee families as they progress from their pets' early years through maturity with unwavering stability and trust. The structure of appointments emerges from the observation of pet behavior combined with household schedule patterns and family weekly observations. During initial visits veterinarians perform comprehensive physical examinations which involve assessments of dental health gait patterns joint mobility eye conditions hydration levels and nervous system responses. Owners have the ability to communicate recent behavioral patterns including shifts in appetite, sleep, and handling tolerance. These patterns establish care pacing mechanisms that prevent premature decision-making. Concord Veterinary Hospital provides preventive care diagnostic panels weight tracking surgical consults senior wellness services and chronic condition coaching. Plans are customized for each family's unique living conditions including urban apartments with new noise elements and homes with multiple pets at various life stages. Pet owners gain confidence through transition strategies when their pets' needs evolve from preventative care to monitoring or from temporary solutions to sustained equilibrium. All steps receive straightforward explanations while advancement tracks through behavior consistency alongside home care simplicity and preparedness for subsequent appointments. Instead of burdening families with numerous tasks the team implements a spaced approach using built-in flexibility alongside optional check-ins. Here is my issue with the clinic. I adore the vets but the staff is something else. First the facility is filthy. The boarding area has mold growing everywhere and when my families pet boarded it got sick. The kennels are old and not suitable for your pets. Secondly the staff is rude and lazy. The receptionist, more specifically the short older lady can be quite condescending. The young girls they have working in the outside yard are always screaming at the dogs. I was picking up my parents dog from their play school there and came early to watch. When I peered around at the play yard my moms poor dog was just sitting there looking out the fence corner. The girls were all standing in a circle just talking. I watched for 15 minutes!!!!! This is so not right! So I did a lot of digging. Seems one of the girls in charge, Krista Ramsey, has a little drug problem. And her apartment upstairs has the stench of weed coming out. I know because I went up there during training classes to watch and I smelled it myself. She is the on site caregiver and also in charge of the play school. I mean really, she’s the one that lives there and takes care of our precious pups and kitties when they board! Then there is Amber, also a play school worker. Over the past little while when I drive by and peak in she is always on her phone or yelling at dogs. There are a couple of other girls that seem ok. The back play yard also has a really bad smell of poop! Seems like no one there other than the vets and a couple of the vet assistants are qualified. The dog play school girls only seem to play and pet on their own puppies and very few others. I can tell you one thing, I’m only 19 now but when I do get a dog of my own I will not be bringing my dog there! I have also convinced my parents to stop going to that place all together. Read Less

My relatively young and much beloved dog, Claire, had serious dental issues - loose teeth, major plaque problems, and red, ulcerated gums. Dr. Porter met with my husband, me, and our dog after a referral from our vet. She described the range of possibilities and within ten days was able to operate on Claire. Fifteen teeth had to be removed, but Claire responded well to the surgery. Dr. Porter met with my husband when he was having difficulty getting Claire to take her post-op pills. Dr. Porter also met with the three of us for Claire's final check-up and to make helpful suggestions so that Claire's teeth might now remain healthy. Dr. Porter was amazingly responsive to calls - she had given us her cell phone number - and clearly took pride in doing an outstanding job of caring for our dog. I trust her and would recommend Dr. Porter without any reservations whatsoever. Read Less

I refer all of my friends to CVH, and they've recommended it to others as well. The staff and vets at this place are wonderful, caring individuals. My recently deceased dog was in very poor health when we got her from the shelter 12 years ago, and I credit the professionals at CVH for her surprisingly good quality of life. They performed multiple tumor removals on 3 different occasions, annual chest X-rays, and blood tests for other issues that arose towards the end. Our boarding experiences have only been positive--I am sorry that one reviewer had a bad experience. I have to wonder whether s/he requested that the pet be bathed prior to pick up. This is something that we have always done (let's face it, doggie boarding is doggie boarding... it's like taking a bath when you get home from a long vacation, right?) In any case, I love this place and hope that other fur-baby parents consider it for routine visits and boarding. Read Less
