I take my two senior pugs there, who have lots of health issues, and I always know Dr. Paula will give it to me straight and do everything she can for them. We moved to the area about a year ago.  Our vet gave us a list of possible new doctors in our new home town.  As always I started doing my research.  I decided Animal Ark was the place for our dog, Padme.  Yes my husband is a big Star Wars fan.  The facility was very nice and super clean.  There is a separate entrance for dogs and cats but both go to the same lobby.  However the lobby is big enough to keep them separated.  I'm guessing this is not usually a problem because you aren't in the lobby very long.  I didn't even get the chance to sit down on our last visit before they took us back to the examining room. The staff is very friendly and great with animals.  That is a great quality when you work at an animal hospital.Dr. Paula is more amazing than one can put into words!  I had heard she was very smart.  That is an understatement.  She is constantly studying and knows so much about animals and their breed specific characteristics.  When she examines your pet you know that she really cares.  It's obvious by the time she spends asking questions.  She is very thorough and that is what I appreciate most.  If you move to the Franklin area or are in need of a new vet I HIGHLY recommend bringing your pet here.  There is nothing better than the peace of mind you get from knowing your pet baby is in the best possible hands. This clinic was wonderful. They are very personable and treat you as if you are family. They give you an identification card with your pet's picture on it, which is a very cute touch. The veterinarian performed a very thorough exam on my dog, I was very impressed. They have a no restraining policy which states that pet's owners are not allowed to restrain their animal during an exam, allowing me to not be the "bad guy". It was truely a God send for the Franklin/Brentwood are the day Animal Ark Animal Hospital opened it's doors. The Vet there is Dr Paula and she is AMAZING !!!! She has now made her 4th middle of the night rush to meet me at her clinic for yet another crisis I was having with one of my many four legged babies and , of course , performed her magic !!! On regular visit she has always been very thorough and wil REFUSE to do unneeded test or procedures. They have never over charged or price hicked on any of mine ,or my families bills. After searching around the area and trying 4 other veterinary clinics, close to my residence, someone recommended Animal Ark. It is a substantial drive for me but for the past 6 years I have gladly done it. I have found that their number one priority is my dogs. They do whatever it takes to treat them kindly, gently and with complete compassion. Besides Dr. Paula, every other employee at the clinic shows the same love and care. We have been with Dr. Paula for 5 years now. I completely trust her with our first born, our yellow lab Max. I have never felt she recommended tests or procedures that were unnecessary or excessive. In fact, there have been plenty of instances where she could have rightly recommended testing and has consistently opted for the conservative approach. I am a former client of Animal Ark, and wish I left even sooner. Not only were the prices for medication, etc. outrageous, but the most of the testing done on my animals was entirely not necessary. I am disgusted at the way I was treated as if I didn't care for my animals. I understand that the clinic needs to make a profit, but since leaving Animal Ark and trying a new clinic and comparing prices, I can't believe how much gouging was going on. The last straw was when I received a message from Animal Ark saying that they now had a 24 hour cancellation policy which incurred a cost of $25.00. I'm surprised they didn't charge you for parking. Isn't it supposed be about the animals. I can honestly say that my animals were in better health before Animal Ark. I had been taking my 13 sheltie to Dr. Paula for a number of years. It was discovered he had a large tumor on his spleen that needed removing. Dr. Paula took hin to surgery to discover there were two baseball size tumors. She removed them and drove them to the state lab herself so she could speak to the Pathologist directly. Bailey feel very ill after surgery. This vet slept on a blowup mattress next to him in the clinic for three nights trying to nurse him back to health. She emailed colleagues and experts in the field seeking other options to make sure she had not missed anything. After and long a brave battle by both Bailey and Dr. Paula he crossed the rainbow bridge. Being the dog lover that I am I started looking for another family memeber, Dr, Paula offered to go with me to the animal shelter to look for another dog. I have 4 year old twins at home and she wanted to do a quick exam and temperment test the dog. We welcomed Sadie into our family that day. You can look long and hard and will not find another human or vet on this earth that would go to those extremes. What a blessing! Read Less
