My first impression of this office was great; I called early on a Saturday morning to try and make an appointment for my kitten I had rescued a few nights prior, and they informed me that if I got there ASAP, I could see the doctor right then and get her taken care of. Upon our visit, the vet and the vet tech were so kind to both me and my kitten, and gave me all the information I needed to know in order to make sure she was fully vetted and taken care of in the best way possible. I've since moved, and Clovercroft is no longer convenient for me to bring my pets, but I still made the trip out of my way just this morning to drop my baby off to get spayed. Their attention to detail and care is very much appreciated, and we will continue to be patients here as long as possible. Read Less

After moving to the east side of Franklin, I am so happy that we found Clovercroft Veterinary Hospital! My wife and I have a Doberman and two cats.  The cats are fairly easy to take care of even though one of them is extremely shy.  The caring and knowledgeable staff has no problem dealing with any of them.  They are extremely patient and thorough.  We rescued our dog a few years ago and she wasn't in great shape.  She was overweight, had heart worms, and had a bladder-control problem.  The hospital did such a good job getting her back to speed.  She lost 15 pounds on her new diet and we were able to eliminate her heart worms in about a month.  They were also able to give us some pills to put in her food that virtually eliminated the bladder problem.  She's a new dog!If you live in Cool Springs or the east Franklin/Brentwood area, this is a great spot to take your pet.  They are so helpful and do a great job.  They also have an awesome dog park behind the clinic.  You may just see our crazy Doberman running around out there when you visit. I started taking my french bulldog to Clovercroft Vet Hospital because it's close to home and appeared to be a nice facility. After taking my dog for his annual shots and exam he was prescribed frontline, a Knockout Flea spray for the house, and heart worm medicine. Me (not being a vet) did not realize a french bulldog isn't supposed to have topical flea medicine because of skin sensitivity in the breed. A week after his first dose of frontline he developed red, crusty spots all over his body (keep in mind this is a dog who gets a bath every week). After a few days of spots we decided to take him back. Dr. Phillips said, "The spots are stress induced and its normal for the breed." He gave him a steroid shot and oatmeal shampoo to help ease the skin problem. I thought it was weird a dog would have a skin reaction from stress when he's the most carefree dog I've ever has. This visit costed $225. A week later his spots were worse. They even developed a weird smell. So I took him back to Clovercroft again. Dr. Phillips looked concerned and took a skin sample- twenty minutes later he came back and said his skin infection has developed in "staph". He gave me Simplicef (antibiotic) to give him for 10 days. This visit costed $200. $425 later his spots haven't gone away. The smell from his red spots did but he kept developing more spots.I decided to take him to Williamson County Animal Hospital because I figured Dr. Phillips didn't know what was going on with him. The vet asked what was going on and in the middle of telling her. She said , "Your problem is French Bulldogs aren't supposed to have topical medicine" At the time I had NO IDEA. She prescribed our Frenchie Confortis (oral flea medicine), antihistamine, and an antibiotic that he took for a month. Within three days our frenchie was 99% better. I decided to get my money back for the unused Frontline, Knockout Flea Home Spray, and shampoo that wasn't good for his skin as well as the office visits where he missed diagnosed twice at my expense. I also wanted to let Dr. Phillips know that french bulldogs cannot have frontline. He couldn't come out to talk to me because he was busy with a patient. I was waiting to hear back from him and finally did. He mailed a letter to me that I wish could be posted on here. He refunded the $68 for frontline and home spray but at the end of the letter Dr. Phillips said, "I will not be refunding you for the office visit, or recheck exam. Your dog probably still has skin problems. I correctly diagnosed and recommended appropriate treatment; which you didn't follow noted by return of unused product." This letter is signed and dated by Dr. Jim Phillips. I couldn't believe this man wrote a letter like this. Everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes. I dont care who you are- but Dr. Phillips is very arrogant and cant admit when hes wrong. Even if he didn't refund the money he could have told me he doesn't know a lot about the breed. I would have understood. I learned two lessons: 1. French bulldogs cannot have topical skin medicine 2. NEVER take your dog to Clovercroft Vet. Dr. Phillips is unprofessional, uneducated, and arrogant Read Less

I figured I would be the first to write a review here. I moved to Franklin from Nashville this past year and was looking for a new veterinarian since driving my animals 30 minutes back to Bellevue wasn't feasible. Every friend in WIlliamson County recommended someone different, so I decided to check out Clovercroft since I only live a mile from this clinic. I only happened to find out this place by searching online for clinics in my area. I had read online that Dr. Phillips (the owner) had great reviews from his other clinic, Southside Animal Hospital in Nipper's Corner. I could not be happier to have chosen them for the care of my two cats and doberman.Dr. Phillips is great. He is only at the clinic on Thursdays, which happened to be the day I took my cats in for their first check up. Since then, I rescued a doberman and scheduled my appointment on a Thursday so I can continue to see Dr. Phillips. I have not met the other veterinarian, but I'm sure I will if my animals become ill and I have to take them in on a different day.All of Clovercroft's staff is so friendly, which is something I didn't like at my former clinic. If I had not liked my former vet as much as I did, the receptionist would have run me off years ago!The other great thing about Clovercroft is their amazing Fido's Dog Park behind the clinic only available to their clients. It's at least an acre of land and there are many different obstacles for the dogs. We took our super friendly doberman recently and for over an hour were the only ones there. She had a blast. This park sure beats the dog parks in Nashville, and is a private park so it's never crowded. Two thumbs up and 5 stars here! Read Less

My cat developed skin lesions that were not properly diagnosed by another vet so I took her in to see the team at Clovercroft. Dr. Foster took one look at her and guessed what the problem was. A few diagnostic tests later, the doc's suspicions were confirmed--my cat had ringworm! Not only did Dr. Foster take the time to explain the condition to me thoroughly, she took care to perform several other, more accurate diagnostic measures and walked me through the pros and cons of all the possible treatment options. I ended up having to take my kitty back several times for a series of treatments. Each time, everyone remembered me by name and wanted to know how my kitty was doing. Even if you have to drive a few extra minutes, I would highly recommend taking your pets to Clovercroft. All vets are not the same...you can really tell that Dr. Foster knows her animals! You'd be hard-pressed to find the same level of caring and veterinary expertise elsewhere.Read Less
