Just moved here from out of town, looking for a vet, had a question and called to find out options for my cat who is destroying our furniture with scratching. They seemed bothered to talk to me, and said that's just behavioral, spray her with a water bottle every time she does it. That's it. Really?? Thank you. I am a Gallatin-area native whose family took our pets to Dr. Coles for as long as I can remember. Visiting for the holiday now from my home in Florida, and our 12-year-old golden retriever scratched a cyst on her back and injured herself today. We called Countryside in a panic, and they agreed to see her. We had investigated removing the cyst, but two separate vets in Florida had quoted us a huge amount, so much more than we could afford. We walked in to Countryside today, and Dr. Coles immediately agreed to do the surgery for a third of the price of our vets in FL. They took such good care of our girl! Surgery was great. Dr. Julie met us at the end and talked over everything very well, offered to call tomorrow (on her day off) to follow up, and even carried Koda to the car for us at the end because she was still groggy. I was referred here by a friend who has always taken her animals here and didn't think much of it.. as I needed to get my puppy's first set of shots. I was a bit skeptical when I walked in because it's such a small little place.. but trusted that it was a good place to go to. I am so glad I came, and will be taking my Cat here as well from now on too. I LOVE DR. JULIE. I was so thrilled to see how knowledgeable of my puppy's breed she was, and also to see how excited and loveable she was with my puppy. Dr. Julie is truly the absolute best. We would like to thank Dr. Coles for his years of service to the community & our pets. If you haven't met the new vet who has taken over his practice, Dr. Julie, you owe it to yourself & pets to do so. We have a large family of pets & we have had to visit four times plus two follow up appointments over the last six months. Dr. Julie carefully examined them, explained our options & followed up meticulously. The level of care is phenomenal & they take appointments so that your wait is minimized as much as possible. You should know that during our time in the waiting room, we have seen people walk in the door with their pets & demand to be seen while barking words to the office staff such as "Dr. Coles always took walk ins". Respectively folks, Dr. Coles no longer runs the business & it is unfair to the new vet & her staff for people to treat them that way. Recently, when the new lady at the front desk explained to a young couple who walked in asking for information & for their dog to be seen that unfortunately they did not have access to Dr. Coles' files & she could schedule them an appointment, they became belligerent then shouted they would go elsewhere & other expletives as they exited the building. Although it was uncomfortable for those of us there waiting, I want to express my gratitude to the staff for respecting our appointment & not letting these folks "bully" their way into being seen before us. After having Doc take care of my furry family for several years, I am very happy he has chosen Dr. Julie to open up shop again. Dr. Julie has been awesome. She takes all the time I need to answer questions and give me options for different treatments for my pups, Achilles and Allie. They take appointments, and they take priority, which works great with MY schedule. They also see walk-ins/emergencies, but since those with scheduled appointments take priority, expect to wait a little bit. I can't say enough how much I appreciate the time and care Dr. Julie (and Micaela, the vet tech) takes with me and my loved ones. I don't know how she does everything she does in one day. Dr. Julie is truly a dog whisperer. Other places have tried to cut my dogs nails and at one place it took four people to hold down my 50 pound baby. Dr. Julie got down in the floor sweet talked her and had the nails cut before she even knew what was happening! What a wonderful experience ! Their receptionist was wonderful and it was very easy to make an appointment. Dr. Julie is awesome! Our 9 year old maltipoo is very nervous and was having teeth problems. She was so gentle and got down at eye level with him, and he didn't snap at her which he usually will if someone gets close to his mouth. She cleaned his teeth and fixed him up, no more bad breath! Dr. Julie is absolutely phenomenal. Her manner and love for her job is obvious, and she goes the extra mile to ensure doggie satisfaction! After my silly girl licked her incision site, Dr. Julie was quick to fit her in for a patch up! I cannot recommend people enough, she addresses every possible concern and eases worry effortlessly.
