Unfortunately must amend my previous review below. Drs. Kaufman and Mitchell are fantastic, and I would highly recommend them should they ever go to a different clinic. Most of staff are awesome, as well. Since Dr. McMillan's passing, however, the office management style has completely changed, and not in a good way. Prices have gone up, ethical business practices have gone down, business contracts are not honored or paid in a timely manner, and vendors are even verbally abused and threatened with false IRS complaints. I know this because it happened to a vendor I recommended them to as a client. I am now embarrassed I did so. As a 10+ year client of McMillan, I tried to talk to Linda about the issue and my disappointment in their behavior, but she refused to speak to me as she was on the phone with the IRS at the time and has not bothered to call me as requested after 3 days. It's a shame that such a fantastic business and reputation that Dr. McMillan built is being undone in such a way. I can no longer recommend this business because I find management to be unethical, rude, and dishonest. Read Less

Spent 230$ at this vet for a skin infection, because our regular vet could not fit us in. We were given food (wet and dry) and pills for her skin, which didn't work. I will not be trusting this vet with my baby again. HUGE waste of time and money. Would definitely recommend Enoch vet (our regular vet). Their prices are great and you're not prescribed medicine that doesn't work and or not needed. ***Update*** We went to Enoch Vet received excellent care and medicine! Our baby is starting to feel better and her skin infection is already starting to clear up! The vet appointment and medicine was not even close to over 200$. Please don't waste your time! McMillan charged us over 200$ and our veterinarian even admitted she had NO CLUE what was wrong with our dog. Unless it's something simple (like buying tick and flea medicine) I wouldn't go to this vet. Enoch is the way to go! Read Less

Our small dog had an accident yesterday and they took him in as they were closing. They treated him with the best care and didn't make us feel rushed at all at the fact it was time for them to leave. Not to mention, he isn't even their patrent. He has only been there for boarding and they still saw him. McMillian is great!!! Read Less

Truly a superior vet and staff! We recently moved and my furry babies are my top priority, but I did not think I could find a practice as excellent as the one we left. Well, I received the most outstanding surprise of my life! First I booked an appointment with the very friendly and efficient Rachel. I ended up having some scheduling problems, and she worked with me and stayed flexible in a way that is so incredibly rare. Once at the clinic I was greeted by the most helpful Brandi, and then almost immediately called in for the pups' exams. Ginny did the prelims and was meticulous, funny and extremely sweet. Regarding Dr. McMillan, I do not even have enough words of praise. He is the last of a dying breed -- making you and your 'babies' feel important by taking his time and being genuinely interested in getting ALL the facts for a complete history, plus answering any and all questions thoroughly. Dr. M also keeps up with the latest research, and I have never seen my dogs so relaxed during a visit to the vet. My doggies became not only forever patients of the good doctor today, but lifelong fans -- I cannot thank Dr. McMillan and his wonderful staff enough. Read Less

I have been taking cats to McMillan Clinic for 20 years and dogs for 8 years. They are great diagnosticians, compassionate, communicative and give options. I never ever feel they are trying to sell me on more expensive treatments and go to great lengths to give options and the price ranges. Dr. McMillan and Dr. Kauffman usually see my pets and I trust them both emphatically! The Drs. have had to meet me there for emergencies on weekends and holidays before to treat my dogs after accidents. I know I can count on them! The staff is friendly, caring and you see the same staff year after year! That speaks well of the Doctors too!Read Less

I absolutely love this group of professionals! I recently had an 8mo puppy that was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Dr. McMillan was kind enough to really talk to, not only me, but my dog's breeder about the specifics of my puppy's hips which made a huge impact on the breeder's attitude towards me as an owner. Dr. Kaufman was also very exceptional and kind enough to see us very quickly one morning when my dog was having a pain crisis. She did one of the most THOROUGH assessments I have ever seen which gave me peace of mind that my dog was receiving the best and most up-to-date care available. Dr. Mitchell was also kind enough to stay after hours one evening when my pup's ears became infected and really took his time caring for her. I did not feel rushed at all to get out of the office! I work in the medical field and am a very "picky" customer and sometimes very difficult customer. This wonderful group of Veterinarians have earned my seal of approval. Dr. McMillan and his staff are the best! We just moved here from Texas with 6 dogs one who gave us a new litter of 5! Our puppies were well cared for as well as our old ladies. We were seen on time with no waiting and were allowed as much time as we needed to have all our questions answered and medications explained. There may be less expensive places to take your beloved pets but nowhere will they be better treated. Read Less

I suspected my cat had a UTI so I made him an appointment at the vet. the one I normally go to was booked solid so I decided to try someplace new in hopes that it would become our permanent vet up here since I just moved here recently. on Google, they were rated 4.8 stars but I could not have picked a worse place to take my babies. the vet took one look at my cats and kept going on and on about how "chunky" they were and how I need to only feed them a tiny amount once a day from now on. my cats are nowhere close to chunky. then she was going on and on about changing their diet and how the treats I was giving them (rarely giving them, I might add) was what was causing the UTI's. what??? when she received our records from our vet in west TN, she looked over them and critiqued them. "oh they ONLY did this?" we loved our vet back home! they did a great job! but this lady didn't seem to think so. she gave my cat 2 shots. the first one went fine. the second one, she poked him wrong and it really HURT him! he withered around and cried and shook the needle out (because she had let go of it and it was just sticking out of him) and all she said was "oh now I need another needle." by the time I left I was ready to bolt out the door. but of course, not before I paid $190 FOR THE HORRIBLE SERVICE I RECEIVED. needless to say, I'm never going anywhere near that place again. It is hard enough to find a quality vet, but even more so for bully breed dogs. I've been so fortunate to work with McMillan Vet Clinic! They are very knowledgeable and caring. My dogs get SO excited every time we go see the staff, and the staff always recognizes us by name. One of my dogs is missing an ear, and Dr. McMillan is the only vet that's ever been creative enough to come up with some options to improve Ludo's quality of life. Also wonderful that they take Care Credit so that emergencies aren't nearly as much of a financial hardship.Read Less

My shih tzu went in for a teeth cleaning and this hospital suggested that I run blood work due to his age. I wasn't sure if that was really necessary but I did it. I'm so glad I did! They found my little man was starting to have problems with his kidneys. I learned that is common with the shih tzu breed. I went back for another visit after some medications and different food and his kidneys are doing better. They may have given me many more years with my precious dog. Thank You So Much!
