After more than 3 years with no fur baby, we adopted a rescue less than a week ago. Took her yesterday for a checkup and any needed shots or whatever was needed.
Dr. Dixon was his usual pleasant self. I think he was as excited that we had adopted another rescue, and his evaluation of her matched ours.
She needed heartworm protection and a flu shot, which she got. He noted that it appeared that she’d been chewing her feet, had them cleaned upband is sending us a reninder about a new injection that will help control her allergic response, we’ve had 4 of this breed in the past and all of them had allergies, so this wasn’t a surprise.
It was like catching up with a trusted friend. He thinks she made a good choice for pet parents and we feel fortunate to have our new furry family member.
We strongly recommend Forest Hill Animal Clinic.

Kind, caring, concerned & always very responsive to calls. 3 dogs & 3 cats thru the years. Our Big guy, Barley just turned 14 last week & is well known & loved in that office! Thanks for years of excellent care! ( not a very good picture of his birthday party!)

Consistantly the best care for all of your four legged kids. These docs are knowledgeable, humble and very passionate. The staff is always extra helpful. The grooming is top drawer too. We started using Dr Johnson Sr back in the early 70s and have been dedicated to the practice since.

Everyone at Forest Hill AH is great! We stumbled upon them when our 14 year old Boston Terrier suddenly started having seizures and we could not get an appointment with our regular vet! We called Forest Hill and the minute we mentioned seizures, they asked if we could come in right away. We saw Dr. Haley Hanks, and she is such a gem! Her love of animals was obvious immediately, and she took such precious care of our baby. She called us to check on him regularly, and she personally called us back every time we had a question about his care. Later, when we had to euthanize him, Dr. Hanks and her team were so respectful of our sadness and grief, and sent us the most lovely sympathy card that was very personalized and signed by all the staff. This is definitely the place to visit if you want loving and attentive care for your 4 legged family members!!!

We had our first visit at FHAS this past week after relocating back to the area and we were very pleased. The staff is courteous and Dr. Mollie Ricketts was fantastic with our dog. She is not always the easiest dog at the vet but Dr. Ricketts and staff were sweet and engaging with her. We also had a couple of scares with cancer with our girl last year so I was really happy at how thorough Dr. Ricketts was. I always hate changing vets because Peyton is our baby but I'm so happy with our decision. Highly recommend.

Love this place!! The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors there take great care of our animals. I used to not board my dogs when we went out of town but I do there because they take such great care of our pets. I have seen all the vets there at some point and they all are incredible. I would highly recommend this vet's office to anyone!

This team is so great. They are so gentle and very kind. Our oldest dog recently passed away and I cannot even describe the compassion they showed me and my family. I can never thank them enough for a truly incredible experience during one of the hardest times we have gone through. Please come see this team....they will do the right thing from the way they treat you, your pet, the cost, and everything in between. My dogs had been with a different group for several years. Forest Hill Animal Hospital is closer to my home. We switched our records for our three dogs to this group and are so pleased with them. We have seen a couple of the veterinarians and they were both compassionate and seemed to have all the time in the world for us. We did not feel rushed out. Ultimately we had to have one of our babies put down. Dr. Dixon took time to explain that we were making the right decision and why. I must also comment on the excellent staff. They are very friendly and efficient. They greeted us when we walked in and our wait was minimal. They took time to talk with me about questions I had about dog foods. We are super happy that we made the change to this group!!

Everyone at Forest Hill Animal Hospital goes above and beyond to make sure the animals receive the best possible treatment. When my very young puppy was treated for a bad case of fleas from her previous home, she hadn't yet had her first shots, so she couldn't go in the kennel area with the other dogs. The staff actually took turns carrying her around with a sock of warm rice until I was able to pick her up a couple hours later. They could not have been kinder or more dedicated to treating her. I can't recommend them highly enough. Excellent doctors and a first-rate team of assistants.

Dr. Dixon has treated our dogs for over 10 years. We keep getting more dogs just so he can treat them. LOL No, really, we have fostered many dogs over the years, and Dr. Dixon has helped to get these precious pups in shape until their forever homes could be found. We now have a little family of out own adopted dogs and Dr. Dixon and his staff make us feel so secure that they are receiving the best care possible. There have been some major illnesses, but Dr. Dixon has always pulled them through.

Dr. Johnson has taken care of my dogs for years and he has always taken the time to talk to me and explain everything to my satisfaction. Recently my oldest dog had cancer and the time finally came where he needed to be put down. The way Dr. Johnson and the staff handled this emotional situation was outstanding. A few days later I received a letter in the mail from them that contained a paw print of my beloved dog Deezel. I look forward to many more years of excellent service with my two current dogs, Catie and Canyon who are brother and sister and were rescue puppies.

I have waited too long to write this. Our family has always received only the best care for our dogs (and grandogs). They cared for our last German Shepherd with all her quirks. She suddenly became ill and Dr. Johnson allowed all the time our family needed in a private setting to say goodbye. Later, away from the clinic I saw Dr. Dixon and he also gave condolences. Now I have a little rescue dog. We found that she has heart worms when we got her and once again this clinic patiently answered all my questions and never gets frustrated when I have to ask again and again because I forgot. HA I know she will be fine because of the very great care she is receiving. They are the real deal! They are the cleanest clinic I have ever used. The staff is amazing. Love those front desk people. Thank you FHAH for all you do!

We love these folks. We have had our dogs treated and boarded at Forest Hill since the late 1980s, starting with an aging Poodle who lived to 19 years! Then there was our Keeshond who ended up living to 15 despite diabetes for 6 years. Our last Kees had a compromised larynx with associated respiratory problems and Forest Hill saved her life more than once. Forest Hill referred us to a Specialist who performed a trach which gave her two plus years of much easier breathing, eating as well as sleep to the age of 14. We expect our latest Kees to receive the same level of excellent care and attention that we've received from Forest Hill for nearly 30 years!

Dr. Dixon was his usual pleasant self. I think he was as excited that we had adopted another rescue, and his evaluation of her matched ours.

This team is so great. They are so gentle and very kind. Our oldest dog recently passed away and I cannot even describe the compassion they showed me and my family. I can never thank them enough for a truly incredible experience during one of the hardest times we have gone through. Please come see this team....they will do the right thing from the way they treat you, your pet, the cost, and everything in between. I could write a novel about the positive things at Forest Hill Animal Hospital.

My dogs had been with a different group for several years. Forest Hill Animal Hospital is closer to my home. We switched our records for our three dogs to this group and are so pleased with them. We have seen a couple of the veterinarians and they were both compassionate and seemed to have all the time in the world for us. We did not feel rushed out. Ultimately we had to have one of our babies put down. Dr. Dixon took time to explain that we were making the right decision and why. I must also comment on the excellent staff. They are very friendly and efficient. They greeted us when we walked in and our wait was minimal. They took time to talk with me about questions I had about dog foods. We are super happy that we made the change to this group!!

Everyone at Forest Hill Animal Hospital goes above and beyond to make sure the animals receive the best possible treatment. When my very young puppy was treated for a bad case of fleas from her previous home, she hadn't yet had her first shots, so she couldn't go in the kennel area with the other dogs. The staff actually took turns carrying her around with a sock of warm rice until I was able to pick her up a couple hours later. They could not have been kinder or more dedicated to treating her. I can't recommend them highly enough. Excellent doctors and a first-rate team of assistants.

Dr. Dixon has treated our dogs for over 10 years. We keep getting more dogs just so he can treat them. LOL No, really, we have fostered many dogs over the years, and Dr. Dixon has helped to get these precious pups in shape until their forever homes could be found. We now have a little family of out own adopted dogs and Dr. Dixon and his staff make us feel so secure that they are receiving the best care possible. There have been some major illnesses, but Dr. Dixon has always pulled them through.

Dr. Johnson has taken care of my dogs for years and he has always taken the time to talk to me and explain everything to my satisfaction. Recently my oldest dog had cancer and the time finally came where he needed to be put down. The way Dr. Johnson and the staff handled this emotional situation was outstanding. A few days later I received a letter in the mail from them that contained a paw print of my beloved dog Deezel. I look forward to many more years of excellent service with my two current dogs, Catie and Canyon who are brother and sister and were rescue puppies.

I have waited too long to write this. Our family has always received only the best care for our dogs (and grandogs). They cared for our last German Shepherd with all her quirks. She suddenly became ill and Dr. Johnson allowed all the time our family needed in a private setting to say goodbye. Later, away from the clinic I saw Dr. Dixon and he also gave condolences. Now I have a little rescue dog. We found that she has heart worms when we got her and once again this clinic patiently answered all my questions and never gets frustrated when I have to ask again and again because I forgot. HA I know she will be fine because of the very great care she is receiving. They are the real deal! They are the cleanest clinic I have ever used. The staff is amazing. Love those front desk people. Thank you FHAH for all you do!

We love these folks. We have had our dogs treated and boarded at Forest Hill since the late 1980s, starting with an aging Poodle who lived to 19 years! Then there was our Keeshond who ended up living to 15 despite diabetes for 6 years. Our last Kees had a compromised larynx with associated respiratory problems and Forest Hill saved her life more than once. Forest Hill referred us to a Specialist who performed a trach which gave her two plus years of much easier breathing, eating as well as sleep to the age of 14. We expect our latest Kees to receive the same level of excellent care and attention that we've received from Forest Hill for nearly 30 years!
