Indian Lake Animal Clinic

Hendersonville, Tennessee
General Info
Indian Lake Animal Clinic in Hendersonville is committed to delivering veterinary care to pets throughout the community. Located in Hendersonville, United States, the clinic is renowned for its reliable and professional approach to animal health. The experienced team offers individualized wellness plans, regular check-ups, and a wide range of treatments targeting specific health issues. Services may incorporate the following: Radiology (X-rays), Emergency Care, In-House Pharmacy, Bloodwork, Dental Radiographs, Hospice and Palliative Care, Behavioral Counseling. With attention to detail, quality care and prevention or counteraction of possible health problems are the focal points. The practice is fully equipped, and the layout ensures the animals are relaxed when attending the facility, which is vital in ensuring accurate diagnosis for successful treatment. Clients often emphasize how the veterinary staff’s kindness and effective communication play a significant role in building long-term trust and rapport, which is crucial for a pet’s consistent care. Indian Lake Animal Clinic continues to grow as a cornerstone of the Hendersonville pet-owning community. The clinic’s professionals are always ready to assist, whether it is helping young pets get a good start in life or supporting the older ones through chronic health issues. Their desire to help animals and constantly educate themselves on the latest developments in veterinary medicine is evident. This ensures that every pet receives the highest quality of care. The practice also supports community initiatives and responsible pet ownership, making it more than just a clinic but a partner to every pet-loving household. The Indian Lake Animal Clinic in Hendersonville helps Tennessee pet owners coordinate the pets’ health plans, behavioral needs, and examination schedules in households with multiple animals that have varying habits. During the first consultation, a veterinarian examines detailed records of every event in the pets’ lives and behavioral characteristics while noting significant changes, together with their domestic roles. Examinations are individualized assessments to gauge the animal’s body posture, skin condition, level of hydration, movement patterns, and behavior towards other animals and humans. Shared symptoms, such as mild coughing and a low appetite, are examined in the context of multiple pets because they may either obscure or amplify the signs. The Indian Lake Animal Clinic provides tailored wellness programs, surgical consultations, and diagnostics while overseeing weight monitoring and dental inspections on preventive schedules. Care plans are staged to fit around owner logistics and pet personalities by spacing out visits, or aggregating procedures according to logistics and time/energy flow considerations. The structured routines become feasible for households (new adoptions, age slowdowns, travel schedules) long-term. Clinic staff offer families choices in a way that is clear and detailed enough to facilitate decision making but not overwhelming. Property holders have the opportunity to ask questions at any stage because each meeting and check-in has built-in communication systems. The Indian Lake Animal Clinic works alongside Hendersonville families and Tennessee neighborhood circles to develop fully coordinated veterinary routines that move at the same rhythm with every household in tune with its pets’ conversations until every visit counts.

I'm not the type of person to leave reviews, but I had a bad experience with veterinarian Dr. Marsha Cardova. I scheduled an appointment for my pet to be looked over for a possible flea or mite infestation due to the bites my children had been receiving in my home. Secondary to this she had a small rash on her tummy and chest. I told Marisha and the veterinary assistant that the rash had already just about cleared up on its own and my primary concern was the bites that my children had been receiving. Dr Cardova completely ignored my concerns and focused on the rash only. Her bedside manner was very rude to say the least. When the check up was over she left the room and sent her assistant back in with 3 prescriptions for the rash which was complete overkill. I told them I would purchase the steroid and antibiotic, but the medicated shampoo I would pass on. Once I got to the front desk counter to pay I was told that with the antibiotic being new to their facility they did not have a price on it, but to take it home and they would bill me later. I told the assistant that without knowing the price, I would like to pass on the antibiotic until they could give me a price and then I would return for it. On the way out the door Dr Marisha Cardova follows me into the waiting room in front of the other customers, clears her throat and in a condescending tone states that I need the antibiotic too in order for the medicine to be effective...completely embarrassing me in front of the other patrons. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but do your customers usually take home prescriptions from your office without knowing a price? Bad experience, rude Dr Marisha Cardova...Will not be back! Read Less

We have used this clinic for several years and have had great service; but, have been told, many times, they are overpriced. We took a new cat in for routine vaccinations yesterday and were charged $120. Made an appointment to have her spay and was told it would be $140. It was more than $200 to have our dog spay; but, I hadn't thought much about it since she is a large dog. Today, I price checked with EVERY OTHER vet in town and found only one to be higher - all others were priced similar (competitively) at $45 for vaccinations and $104.34 for the spay - come to find out my dog would have only cost me $140 elsewhere. Called Indian Lake Animal Clinic for clarification on why they charged $120, for what everyone else is charging $40-55 and they told me they charged me $48 for the ""wellness exam"", which included the vet running her hands over the cat and opening her mouth. My pets will no longer be visiting this clinic. Read Less

I recently adopted a cat from the Nashville Humane Society, and I didn't know it at the time, but he had an upper respiratory infection. I took him to the Indian Lake Animal Clinic, and they prescribed some antibiotics and ointment for his eyes. He was doing fine for a couple of days, but then he started running a fever again and stopped eating. He just became so listless and could barely open his swollen eyes. We took him back to the clinic, and they recommended keeping him overnight so they could treat him with fluids and try some different antibiotics. They also did chest x-rays to make sure he didn't have pneumonia. We picked him up the next morning, and the change in him was AMAZING. He was like a new cat! He has been doing great on the new medication and eye drops that he is taking. Another great thing is their prices - they aren't obscenely overpriced like some other vet clinics in Hendersonville I have been to. I thought what we were charged was more than fair. Read Less

He had been sick for several yrs with an unusual critical illness. Even had to see specialists. It was worth every penny I spent to have him with me those 3 additional yrs. And, that would probably not have happened had it not been for the drs at Indian Lake!

Read Less
