My dog (my baby) Missie was hit by a car recenly and was left in critical condition. We rushed her over after being told to bring her right in, Dr. Mason assessed her and gave her pain medication to keep her comfy and calm her down. We were later told the extent of her trauma and found out how severe of shape she was in. Dr. Mason did everything she could for her and we where waiting just to see if she could make it through the first 48hrs to see if she could pull through the respiratory distress that she was in. She was doing really good as day 2 started and we where very hopefully and planning for her to come home to finish healing. Unfortunately she passed away during the night of day 2. The staff was so helpful, so caring, and where great I could have never asked for a better experience during such a terrible time. This wasn't just a dog to us, she was a rock during a loss of a mother, she was our baby, we dont have children we have fur babies and this is def very very hard to have to go through. But with all the support and help from Dr. Mason and Dr. Wheeler and all the staff at Lakeway I could have never asked for a better bunch of people to care for our baby. Great placer to take your animal friends to get their check up. I have been told that they are a little pricey, but they have always looked for ways to minimize my bill. I use to love Lakeway Animal Hospital. It was the only place any of my dogs went. We were recently in for just a vaccine. There were all new girls working up front that have awful, rude attitudes so therefore, we will be finding another vet and will not be back. It is very sad because the doctors here are great. We've been going to Lakeway since we moved here nearly 2 yrs ago, and we've been very happy with the care our baby receives at Lakeway. She is 13 yrs. old and high maintenance. She got extremely sick right after we moved here, and they figured out what it was quickly. She now has quite a bit of arthritis. I have took my dog there for years they have always been very professional and truly care about your pet. On Monday December 26, 2016 I had to put my little boy to sleep after 16 years. Lakeway has been my personal vet for some 17 years now. As a local rescue volunteer, I have seen them more over the years than the average client. Words can't express how special Dr. P, Dr. Brady, and Dr. Wheeler are to me and my personal pet family. We have shared many happy visits and new beginnings as well as some of my greatest heartbreaks of pet ownership. My husband and I had the worst experience ever. Our precious boy died of parvo. We told the veterinarian that our neighbors dog had died from parvo but "because he wasn't showing any signs of parvo like bloody diarrhea or a fever" he was never tested. We were charged $315 for basically nothing. Our dog continued to decline and I ended up taking him elsewhere bc I had NO confidence in this practice. He stayed at the other vets for 4 nights and was treated. We brought him home and thought he was ok. He died on Thursday November 17. My husband and I wrote a letter requesting a full refund or partial refund and received a heartless call from the office manager. Questioning why we didn't bring him back to them. Why in the world would we. This place is only out for charging owners out the wazoo. The office manager is not profession at all. Who hangs up on a pet owner who is devastated over the death of their dog. If you go to this practice I highly encourage you to watch what you are charged for. Office manager completely unprofessional!! Terrible how she treated my family today. I work in the medical field as well as customer service, and how she spoke and how she handled their situation was nothing short of a display of ignorance and incompetence. I had a very Scary and Sad Fourth of July this year. Our 6 yr old Black Lab mix , Charlie, jumped our fence and literally ran herself to death trying to escape the terrifying sounds of the fireworks. This is the best veterinary service I have ever dealt with.  Dr. Lee Pilkington is a treasure.
