For a decently in-budget vet, I highly recommend. The staff is extremely friendly and seem knowledgeable. My mother takes her dog here all the time and I have taken my little fur-baby here on occasion when needed. She does not do well on car rides and I live in Seymour now. But I still recommend this animal hospital and the team here!

This place is so warm and friendly. Everyone who works there puts your pet at ease. I come here for my cat's yearly check up. I found out last year that she was overweight and the vet helped me put a weight loss plan into action. We had free weigh ins and checkups the whole time while my cat was losing the weight.
Dr. Baxter is amazing when I had to bring my cat in due to an emergency. She explained everything so well to me and helped my cat get back to her old self.
The people at the front desk are great and will give your pets treats. I like how the TV in the lobby plays animal themed movies.
This place is worth the drive for me. It is very affordable and a warm, welcoming environment. My pets are treated so well here.

I started going to Asheville Highway Animal Hospital about 7 years ago. My baby was stung by a bee. I called my own vet & they didn't have the time to care for her.Wow!! I wasn't using Asheville Highway Animal H. at the time. It didn't matter, I was told to come right in,,, I didn't loose my baby that day. I could of, as her breathing was quiet bad by the time I got there. I didn't look back!! I started going to them after that. There are always things people think could be done better here or there, but there is nothing they could do better! They Are That Good!! The little girl I took into them has since passed away. Even then the Compassion & Care I received the day we had to say good bye to her, I felt how much they Cared & I know they hurt with us. My new babies receive the same excellent care. There is no one on their staff that is just there to have any old job! No one can fake it that good!! They Are A Very Caring Staff & It Shows. The Drs. are all Excellent. They know & explain everything & answer any & all questions. When I leave there I know they leave nothing undone & do all that needs to be done & then some!!

Dr. Joe and his family have been my vets for over 30 years. A better veterinary clinic is not to be found in Knoxville. From birthing animals, to preventative medicine, to surgery, to trauma, to euthanasia, their services are top notch. Their compassion for your furbabies is obvious in everything they do. I like the way they tell you beforehand what the charges will be for services. You can always discuss with them what a cheaper alternative treatment might also be beneficial. I have also boarded my pets and had them groomed at AHAC and am pleased with their service.

The staff is unprofessional and rude. Spoke with doctor Kendrick about the issues with my Daisy and why I hadn't received any calls about her condition (she was in a critical condition) and he managed to not answer my questions. Not to mention he had an attitude and when i asked for my babies collar and leash he didnt even come back to give it to me and tell me he was sorry for my loss instead he sent a tech.There is a lack of communication between the doctors and a lack of professionalism. I also don't believe that they checked on my Daisy threw out the night like they said they did. I feel as though they were just telling me what I wanted to hear because I was pissed and sad. I lost my best friend at this clinic and she had to die by herself in a kennel not her own. If they would have just called me that Saturday and told me her that her condition was not gonna get any better and she probably wasn't going to make then I would have came to be with my baby and would have just put her down so she didn't have to die alone and suffer threw out the night. I do not suggest you take your babies here. Find some one that cares about the animals more than them selves.

Had never been there before my daughter had been there with her cat so when my cat got hurt yesterday morning I called my vet and they didn't do surgery so they referred me to this veterinarian we immediately took the cat to them where the cat was diagnosed with a broken foot and a torn ligament they were very nice very polite and I did not have to sit and wait they took chatter right on in. They did x-rays immediately and found what the problem was I would most definitely recommend this veterinarian facility to anyone in need of a vet they sent us home with meds and instructions on how to properly take care of chatter for the next 3 weeks.

I have used AHAH since moving here in april 2014. When my Chug Simmy got sick they where the kindest and most understanding vets I've known. Simmy had cancer in her lungs and liver and they made her as comfortable as possible until i had to put her too sleep. When that time came they where very helpful and even sent me a sympathy card afters. Just recently my Boston terrier had too have surgery for mammary tumors. Dr. Rick has taken excellent care of her. The front staff is amazing and caring. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

All the staff at Asheville highway animal hospital are welcoming and friendly. We had to bring in our cavalier King Charles spaniel while visiting from out of town for vomiting and bloody stools. She was cared for by Dr. Reichla who was kind, compassionate, and provided the best plan of care to get our baby feeling better as quickly as possible. They are considerate as well with their fees for service and avoid charging for unnecessary treatments/procedures. We were very apprehensive bringing in our baby to a vet and clinic we've never visited before, but being an emergency case it was a necessity. Our apprehensions were relieved in finding this clinic with thanks to yelp and its current reviews. I wanted to add a review of our experience to put anyone else at ease about visiting this clinic when needed. We had nothing but positive experiences with our interactions amongst all the staff. The clinic is on the small side but it is clean and well kept. Put your mind at ease if you need to bring your pet here, they are knowledgeable and will take great care of you and your furry family members. A great thanks to all the staff at Asheville Highway Animal Hospial!

This place is great. I took my kitten there for a round of vaccines and they were awesome with her. The staff is very friendly - as are the clientele - and they even sent me home with some dry and canned food samples and calendar stickers. We saw Dr. Joe and he was really helpful about explaining things. They don't like to overmedicate there, and he gave me lots of options and advice on how to raise my kitten (food type, vaccinations, even teething problems). I had gone to Knoxville Animal Clinic for her first check-up and they were NOT good about explaining costs and vaccines, including what they were doing during the visit. I will go to Asheville Hwy for all my vet needs while we are in Knoxville - they were affordable and friendly.

I started going to Asheville Highway Animal Hospital about 7 years ago. My baby was stung by a bee. I called my own vet & they didn't have the time to care for her.Wow!! I wasn't using Asheville Highway Animal H. at the time. It didn't matter, I was told to come right in,,, I didn't loose my baby that day. I could of, as her breathing was quiet bad by the time I got there. I didn't look back!! I started going to them after that. There are always things people think could be done better here or there, but there is nothing they could do better! They Are That Good!! The little girl I took into them has since passed away. Even then the Compassion & Care I received the day we had to say good bye to her, I felt how much they Cared & I know they hurt with us. My new babies receive the same excellent care. There is no one on their staff that is just there to have any old job! No one can fake it that good!! They Are A Very Caring Staff & It Shows. The Drs. are all Excellent. They know & explain everything & answer any & all questions. When I leave there I know they leave nothing undone & do all that needs to be done & then some!!

Dr. Joe and his family have been my vets for over 30 years. A better veterinary clinic is not to be found in Knoxville. From birthing animals, to preventative medicine, to surgery, to trauma, to euthanasia, their services are top notch. Their compassion for your furbabies is obvious in everything they do. I like the way they tell you beforehand what the charges will be for services. You can always discuss with them what a cheaper alternative treatment might also be beneficial. I have also boarded my pets and had them groomed at AHAC and am pleased with their service.

They've helped me through some difficult times. Their staff is wonderful, their facility is wonderful and I just can't say enough good about them.

The staff is unprofessional and rude. Spoke with doctor Kendrick about the issues with my Daisy and why I hadn't received any calls about her condition (she was in a critical condition) and he managed to not answer my questions. Not to mention he had an attitude and when i asked for my babies collar and leash he didnt even come back to give it to me and tell me he was sorry for my loss instead he sent a tech.There is a lack of communication between the doctors and a lack of professionalism. I also don't believe that they checked on my Daisy threw out the night like they said they did. I feel as though they were just telling me what I wanted to hear because I was pissed and sad. I lost my best friend at this clinic and she had to die by herself in a kennel not her own. If they would have just called me that Saturday and told me her that her condition was not gonna get any better and she probably wasn't going to make then I would have came to be with my baby and would have just put her down so she didn't have to die alone and suffer threw out the night. I do not suggest you take your babies here. Find some one that cares about the animals more than them selves.

Had never been there before my daughter had been there with her cat so when my cat got hurt yesterday morning I called my vet and they didn't do surgery so they referred me to this veterinarian we immediately took the cat to them where the cat was diagnosed with a broken foot and a torn ligament they were very nice very polite and I did not have to sit and wait they took chatter right on in. They did x-rays immediately and found what the problem was I would most definitely recommend this veterinarian facility to anyone in need of a vet they sent us home with meds and instructions on how to properly take care of chatter for the next 3 weeks.

I have used AHAH since moving here in april 2014. When my Chug Simmy got sick they where the kindest and most understanding vets I've known. Simmy had cancer in her lungs and liver and they made her as comfortable as possible until i had to put her too sleep. When that time came they where very helpful and even sent me a sympathy card afters. Just recently my Boston terrier had too have surgery for mammary tumors. Dr. Rick has taken excellent care of her. The front staff is amazing and caring. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

All the staff at Asheville highway animal hospital are welcoming and friendly. We had to bring in our cavalier King Charles spaniel while visiting from out of town for vomiting and bloody stools. She was cared for by Dr. Reichla who was kind, compassionate, and provided the best plan of care to get our baby feeling better as quickly as possible. They are considerate as well with their fees for service and avoid charging for unnecessary treatments/procedures. We were very apprehensive bringing in our baby to a vet and clinic we've never visited before, but being an emergency case it was a necessity. Our apprehensions were relieved in finding this clinic with thanks to yelp and its current reviews. I wanted to add a review of our experience to put anyone else at ease about visiting this clinic when needed. We had nothing but positive experiences with our interactions amongst all the staff. The clinic is on the small side but it is clean and well kept. Put your mind at ease if you need to bring your pet here, they are knowledgeable and will take great care of you and your furry family members. A great thanks to all the staff at Asheville Highway Animal Hospial!

This place is great. I took my kitten there for a round of vaccines and they were awesome with her. The staff is very friendly - as are the clientele - and they even sent me home with some dry and canned food samples and calendar stickers. We saw Dr. Joe and he was really helpful about explaining things. They don't like to overmedicate there, and he gave me lots of options and advice on how to raise my kitten (food type, vaccinations, even teething problems). I had gone to Knoxville Animal Clinic for her first check-up and they were NOT good about explaining costs and vaccines, including what they were doing during the visit. I will go to Asheville Hwy for all my vet needs while we are in Knoxville - they were affordable and friendly.
