Halls Animal Hospital

Knoxville, Tennessee
General Info
Halls Animal Hospital delivers veterinary services to Knoxville pet families and those throughout Tennessee by employing clinical geometry techniques where soft angles, lateral approaches, and pause-based pacing define every aspect of their care process. Direct approaches to pets occur only with explicit invitations. Staff members modify their directional movements by incorporating gentle curves alongside subtle sideways shifts and diagonal body positioning. This reduces startle reflex and builds orientation trust. Caregivers occupy strategic positions—frequently seated at right angles—enabling animals to establish a triangular relationship with both comfort and medical attention elements. Before any tools emerge into view, observers detect blink rates along with paw arcs and balance shifts. Halls Animal Hospital delivers imaging services alongside early onset detection while managing chronic issues and performing cardio screening together with gastrointestinal alignment and age-specific care. Access tolerance governs the sequencing of services. A number of animal species exhibit a tendency to allow flank contact before permitting frontal interaction. The placement of instruments on the floor before use results in improved responses from others. Discharge routines include re-orientation techniques: how to walk pets out using calm zigzag motion what angles to approach for bandage inspection at home and where to set up bedding to prevent corner-trapping during recovery. The implementation of these techniques diminishes flight behaviors while restoring spatial security when the pet returns to its familiar area. Halls Animal Hospital weaves its care into the geometric spaces and gentle pauses that animals understand across every Tennessee neighborhood from Knoxville to beyond—transforming treatment into an inviting experience instead of an intrusive one.

Staff doesn’t care. You can’t get your pet scheduled back when vet says they need to be seen by. Then the vet gets put out and blames you for not bringing your pet back in when she told. It doesn’t matter or carry any weight to tell her what her staff did with scheduling. Then you end back in again with your Pet because they didn’t completely clear. You pay for all the meds and are told we’re out of this one, it’ll be in tomorrow or the next day. Both of those days come and go, meds still aren’t there. Weekend hits and then first of week. Meds aren’t there and it’s UPS fault because they know what time they all lock the door and go to lunch. They usually leave someone at office, but not when they haven’t had med delivery for 5 days. Apparently eating lunch is more important. I can guarantee I’m not the only person this has happened to. And I wonder why my Pet won’t get well! Maybe it’s because all of the orders aren’t followed Thru by the staff. When vet tells me he needs this, that, and the other and I try to follow the treatment plan, the staff does whatever they want and nothing matters unless they can get out of there at 5:00pm. As a furmommy I highly recommend Halls Animal Hospital. Buster (my boxer) was having some very serious issues with seizures which are extremely scary if you have never experienced it before. Dr. Powers and her staff welcomed us with widely open arms, ready to care for Buster and all his needs. Sadly his journey through life ended February 9th but not from their lack of expertise or love. They truly care about the well being of animals, big and small. It's not all about making a buck with them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Read Less

Moved to the area in early 2008 with our 7 year old lab. Called this vet's office to see if we could get a city permit from them, and they said yes...no need for proof of vaccination, although we had it. All worked out great. A few months later, we have to go on a trip where we can't take our dog, so this being the only place we are familiar with, we decide to board him there. Mind you, he has never been sick in all of 7 years, but a week after bringing him home from being boarded, he is hacking and coughing like I have never heard a dog do. I call and am told to bring him in, during which they tell me he has kennel cough, which he obviously got from their kennel. Maybe I don't know a lot about kennel cough, but I know it can be caused from dirty kennels and unvaccinated dogs. I had to have proof that he was vaccinated against it before they boarded him (which they would have had if they'd asked for it when I went in for the permit), so I wonder if every dog boarded there was vaccinated as well. And who knows if their kennels were dirty or not, as I was not allowed to go back there. ANYWAY, the vet who we asked how old our dog was, and when I said he was 7, this vet - who I don't know if he was ignorant or just rude- proceeded to say, without any couth whatsoever, ""I had a 7 year old lab one time, and he DIED."" Yeah....I didn't think that was too nice. I also have neighbors who took their 2 dogs there and were treated with the same disrespect as we were. From the receptionist to the vet, all were rude and disrespectful. We've used several vets over the years, as we have moved several times, and this is by far the worst I've dealt with. We will never go back there, and I surely don't recommend them to anyone else who truly cares about their pet. Read Less

7126 Maynardville Pike
Knoxville Tennessee 37918

Read Less
