I initially went in for a yearly checkup and to get a quote on teeth cleaning. The physical went well, but they didn't take a stool sample and said I have to collect it and bring it back. The lady and the front desk came in the room while my dog was getting her blood drawn and tried to sell me the monthly care plan ( basically insurance for 100 up front and 40 a month). I asked her what the quote for the dental work would be and she said she "didn't put that together yet." Wouldn't it make sense to see those rages before I purchase such a plan? The dental estimate came back at 450 which I thought was outrageous. The woman at the front desk kept giving me an attitude because I refused to purchase the care plan. She obviously must make comission for that. The whole situation left me uncomfortable. In conclusion, the exam part was fine,but my experience with the dental estimate and trying to be sold the care plan left me uncomfortable and I will go to another vet next time. Read Less

Wow! Dr. Sherrod and her staff were professional, patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable. It has been decades since I have had such a positive experience in a vet's office. Even in a small space, they were efficient and considerate of wait time. Appointment availability and hours are accommodating and understandable for a busy vet. Precious my cat has been treated with all the love and care that I show her while she was in the care of Dr. Sherrod. I'v used a lot of vets here in North Knoxville over the years and will have to say that Just for Pets is the best in the area. Precious has been in to see Dr Sherrod and the staff a few times and couldn't be treated better, Reasonable prices, caring staff and a great veterinarian. I think Precious likes them more then me. We just moved to the area with a dog and wanted to locate a good vet for regular check ups. I was a little disappointed with our first visit to Pet. After a very short introduction, Dr. Sherrod insisted on a muzzle for our dog - which has never needed one during previous vet visits. I was hoping to discuss different options for tick and flea treatment, but it became clear that Just for Pets is sponsored by a particular brand and did not seriously consider alternatives. Which is probably true of lot of vets and their business models; but I also felt nickle and dimed by all the add on costs of the visit. Many of which I assumed were part of the services I signed up for, like nail clipping ($12!) for the physical exam or anesthetic for the micro-chip shot. The staff were all very nice, but I was hoping for a more personalized visit and advice about all of the options for treatment. Read Less

My husband and I rescued a stray puppy, and we were looking for a vet close to our home who would meet our expectations. I'm am so glad we chose Just for Pets! We were greeted by Ali, who was extremely sweet. Dr. Sherrod is a wonderful vet! Our sweet puppy, Tarlee, was nervous around new people, and Dr. Sherrod made him feel comfortable. Everything throughout the visit went exceptionally well! One of the best things is that when I was looking through our bag when we got home, there was a bag of treats!
