We really appreciate not only the great service, but the cost. $20 for an office visit is way more reasonable than a lot of the other vets in this area. I Had to have my beloved Toby of 16 years put down today. This was the first time that we have been to this office. I must say that we were treated very kindly and couldn't have asked for more during such a difficult time. Everyone on the staff were genuinely nice and seemed to care. The vet was very reassuring about the need to have this done and took the time to explain everything. I brought my cat here after seeing good reviews and calling around for pricing to apply soft paws to my cat's claws. I'm a new pet owner, and my cat (Ruthie) and I were both extremely stressed and anxious by the time we made it from the house to the animal clinic. My cat pooped in her crate just as I was about to carry her in. I was SO embarrassed and wasn't sure how to clean her or the crate without her running away. As soon as I walked in, they took Ruthie back and cleaned her and the crate all while promising that it was no trouble, "It happens all the time..." For many years, this clinic was owned by Doc Butler who was an old fashioned style vet and one that mom trusted with all of her pets for many years. Doc Butler has since passed away, but he sold his business before hand to a married couple, the Davis, who are both practising veterinarians who seemed to have taken up Doc Butler's calling and are continuing the legacy that he leaves behind. The Davis' have modernized it by beefing up staffing, created a web site, remodelled the office area by installing computers and knocked down some walls. Our family has used this Veterinary Clinic for many, many years. Dr. Butler cared for our cattle years ago and has always cared for our cats and dogs. Even though Dr. Butler has now passed the Clinic is still operated with the same excellent standards that were those of Dr. Butler. The Vets who own it now operate with the same fine care of our animals that we have always known there. We take our dogs there exclusively and wouldn't consider another place for any reason. I called in a panic, my dog was coughing and sounds like he was having trouble breathing at like 4 o'clock in the afternoon. They had me bring him in immediately even though they didn't have any appointments available, got him fixed up and medicated and sent right home. I made an appointment for my 2 year old pom ( she is my baby) I was very nervous going somewhere new, but they eased all my nervousness at once. We were greeted by the nicest nurses who just loved Mollie. We loved Dr. Wright, he was so gentle and loving towards Mollie. He knew exactly what to do for her eyes and She received her yearly shots. I called there in a panic as my poor dog was hit by a car. I work in Nursing 8 to 5 every day and it was unlikely for me to be able to make it to their latest appointment at 5:30. The ladies I spoke to was super nice and they said just bring them on down, they'll see him. Luckily I had a friend take him down there and I met up with them. I want to say Dr. Jessica is absolutely amazing. If it wasn't for her two of our calves would have passed away. She never once gave up on them even though our little heifer almost did. I was referred to this vet by a friend but she actually meant another one down the road and I can see why! First of all, the staff didn't even acknowledge us right away - they were too rude to stop their conversation and greet us. Second, the room we were shown to didn't even have a door and a pet had urinated on the floor. When my daughter pointed it out to a staff person, they just replied that they're used to that. How disgusting that they didn't even clean it up before putting us in there! Finally, the vet seemed absolutely clueless about what was going on with my dog (it was a yeast infection in his ear). When I explained what I was using for prevention he had never heard of it (my dog is 12 and I've been doing this for years - not a new thing)! The only thing that was decent was the price, but even at that I wouldn't return there. Read Less

My babies have been patients at Karns for over a decade. My "family" there are the most caring, loving, professional people I know. I lost Mikey there this afternoon.
