Murphy the super shy beagle (rescue pup was abused before we took him in) had a dew claws incident. We just moved back to town and did not have a vet yet. They said come right over and had him taken care of in no time. The staff came around the desk and sat in the floor with him so he could get comfy with them and were so gentle and nice. I braced myself for an expensive vet bill, and it was a whopping $9. We asked if this was right and the receptionist said "We are here because we love helping animals, not to price gouge the owners." Murphy came out a happy pup (usually he would cover and we would have to carry him out). We will definitely be back. Thank you! Read Less

I originally took my 11 week old puppy here because I read fantastic reviews about the place. Everyone was raving about their great experiences, so maybe this is just one time out of many, but I did not have such an experience. I took my puppy in because his bottom canines were growing into the roof of his mouth and were actually creating puncture wounds and causing an overbite. We scheduled the appointment for earlier in the morning and when I went in the receptionist was really friendly and got us in the room. Half an hour after the appointment time, the tech and doctor finally come in. I never did get the doctor's name, she didn't introduce herself. I expressed my concerns about his bottom canines and she was really dismissive and said, "Oh, he just has an overbite. There's nothing we can do about that." I then expressed a concern because he hadn't been eating like he normally does and all she said was that it wasn't his teeth. Ok, I get that, but he's not eating like he should be and all I got was "Don't worry about it." I noticed the puncture wounds getting more inflamed so I called a doggy dentist, got an appointment for two days after the appointment with Rocky Hill, and she said his canines were actually fractured and causing an infection which is why he wasn't eating. He ended up having to have oral surgery on the canines that the Rocky Hill doctor said were fine. So after spending money on a vet visit to this place, the doctor never introduced herself, never explained what she was doing, didn't examine him properly, and told us that what could have been a very real issue was nothing. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this place. I wouldn't recommend to anyone else either. Read Less

I came to Rocky Hill Animal Hospital (RHAH) in April/May of 2011 when my 8 year old mixed dog Lucy began exhibiting some health issues. My previous veterinarian had just retired, and some of his techs/office staff began working for Dr. Jeter's new operation at RHAH, so I thought I would check them out. Unfortunately the prognosis was not good for my dog, but Dr. Jeter and his staff were extremely helpful and considerate, gave me the options available, and did not push me into one or the other. They helped me with medications to ease Lucy's discomfort, and she was able to feel almost back to normal for a couple months before the issue (which we were pretty sure was terminal) finally won out. Through the whole process the staff of RHAH helped me and Lucy and I always felt they had her best interest at heart. They were sensitive to the emotional aspect of caring for a terminally ill pet, and were a big help when Lucy finally passed on. These folks are the real deal, I would trust them with my pets in the future. I'm sure nobody and no veterinary operation is perfect, but these guys are really good. Read Less

They can't wait to see her when we get there! Beebe takes care of all of the grooming and my dogs always look gorgeous when I pick them up after boarding. They are professionally, washed, nails trimmed and dried. Most importantly, they run up to Beebe with their tails wagging! They have NEVER been hosed down in the kennel with dish soap and left to drip dry!!! Nick, Monica, Erica and Matt are all amazing as well! They all go the extra mile to help me with my crazy schedule, with the main goal being the welfare of my dogs...my babies! Please give Dr. Jeter and his staff a chance! My fiance and I had a great experience with rocky Hill Animal Hospital! We live in the area and had heard the bad things about it, but we have adopted 2 cats and had not found a vet yet. Chandler, one of our cats, started having diarrhea this past week and last not it got really bad so we need a vet quck and close this morning so we went there. The staff was friendly (not that fake sentiment that you see at some businesses), and were great with Chanlder and us. They explained everything well, and instead of doing all the test at the same time, they did them individually to try and keep cost low so that if one came back positive it might make the other ones unnecessary. One thing we found that was kind of funny, during the examination Dr. Jeter gave our cat a pop kiss on the head. He probably didn't even notice, but we that it was cute. The staff is very aware of the previous owners reputation (the Vet and staff are all new) and they said they are working hard to change it. Read Less

The first review, the woman with the puppy, sounds accurate to me. The owner does smoke in the back, they don't give animals their bedding or toys, they feed all animals from the same food supply which is NOT science diet, and they overcrowd small cages. I too worked there for over a year and disagree with what the Former2Employee said completely. Anyone who worked there for a day knows that the owner smokes in the back. If the person had paid for a bath they would've gotten their dog hosed down with dish detergent in their run. I bathed all the dogs there for the year I worked there and that was how I was made to do it by the owners. And we didn't give dogs towels. The runs were raised up off the ground on grates so dogs could soil the run and it would drop through, towels were not placed in the runs. We also put food back into the food supply that dogs who were boarding had not finished in their bowls. First review accurate, second review not! Read Less

I think the other comment is ridiculous. I worked there for a while and Dr. Webb is one of the renowned veterinarians in Knoxville. I was the person who took care of the puppies and kitten every morning and afternoon. I was there at 7 a.m. feeding, cleaning, playing with them, and feeding them. Under my care and under the Webb's care there were no animals mistreated!!! It is possible that this dog was nervous being in a new place, around other dog, that she/he was not use to. They lose weight when they are in new places that they are uncomfortable in. Obviously it is not like the dog had NO FOOD. It was probably just not eating its food. In the mornings I would let out the little dogs all together so they could play while I would clean out their temporary homes and fill their water bowl, with CLEAN FRESH WATER. and fill up their bowls of food- with their own food, which a lot of owner bring or with out science diet food! Also place towels for the dogs who didn't have beds and also place the bed of the animals who were lucky enough to have their own bed or who had not urinated on their bed. Then i would let them all in. Clean up outside and let the bigger dogs out and do the same process with them. The dogs probably smelled because it was around other dogs and I am sure you did not pay for a bath or the dogs would have smelled wonderful! Also if you would have called earlier you may have gotten a boarding spot with Farragut Animal Hospital. Also you should pay attention when dropping off your pet because i am sure there were signs posted about the times and dates that Rocky Hill would be closed. If not that the answering machine would have the times. Rocky Hill is wonderful and the Webb are very harding working people with renowned vet clinic that Bruce Pearl and Phil Fulmer use for the BEST care of their animals. Read Less

I BOARDED BY PETS ON DEC 23 2005. UPON MY RETURN JAN,2,2006, 11 DAYS LATER,, I FOUND MY PUPPY IN A DARK, CIGARETTE SMELLING ROOM . THIS WAS 18 MONTHS AGO AND I AM STILL NOT OVER WHAT I FOUND. I WAITED OUTSIDE THE CLINIC JAN 2, 2006 FROM 9 AM TO NOON. NO ONE CAME TO CHECK ON THE DOGS AND I REPEATEDLY PHONED & LEFT A MESSAGE THAT I WANTED MY PUPPY AND CAT. I WAS WAITING OUTSIDE FOR WHEN THEY CAME TO FEED.. NO ONE CAME.I WENT TO A STORE ACROSS THE STREET & THE MAN AT THE COUNTER TOOK MY NUMBER TO CALL ME WHEN HE SAW THEM COME TO FEED. I KEPT CALLING THE STORE TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD COME AND THE ANSWER WAS ""NO"". AT 2:45pm I PARKED MY CAR OUTSIDE THE CLINIC & AT 4:15pm A GIRL COME TO FEED. I INSISTED GOING IN WITH HER. SHE TURNED ON A LIGHT IN AN OTHERWISE BLACK ROOM. THEN, SHE FOUND LIGHT WHERE THE CAGES WERE FOR THE DOGS! I SAW1/2 DOLLAR SIZED DRY FOOD IN MY PUPPY'S BOWL AND HIS WATER LIKE SYRUP. I CALLED THE OWNER AT HOME & SHE TOLD ME HER HUSBAND, DR. CARL WEBB HAD BEEN AT THE CLINIC FOR 3 HOURS THAT MORNING AND I WAS LYING ABOUT THE TREATMENT OF MY PET. I ASKED ABOUT HIS BED AND TOYS, & WAS TOLD THEY WERE IN A CLOSET. NO BEDS / TOYS ALLOWED! THEY ACCEPTED MY PUPPY'S BED, TOYS AND SHOWED ME A CARPETED CAGE AND TOLD ME HE WOULD BE OUTSIDE 3X ADAY. MY PUP WAS GLAZED EYED & FILTHY. HE SMELLED! EVERY DOG BEGAN BARKING TO GET OUT OF THOSE SMALL CAGES, AND INTO SOME LIGHT! .I TOOK MY PUPPY TO FARRAGUT ANIMAL CLINIC THE NEXT MORNING .. HE HAD LOST 11.5% OF HIS WEIGHT(1 1/2 LBS) AND WAS VERY SCARED, EVEN AFTER SLEEPING CUDDLED WITH ME ALL NIGHT. MY CAT EVEDENTLY JUST SLEPT THROUGH THE ENTIRE XMAS . BUT SHE SMELLED AWFUL. THE OWNER SMOKES IN THE BACK WHERE THE DOGS STAY, BUT IT DID NOT SMELL THAT WAY WHEN SHE ""SHOWED ME AROUND"" BEFORE I LEFT MY PETS . MY BELIEF IS THE WEBB'S HAD NOT BEEN TO THE CLINIC TO FEED THE ANIMALS SINCE DEC. 30TH 2005, IF THEN. I""M JUST SORRY I COULDN'T TAKE ALL OF THE POOR DOGS HOME WITH ME. Read Less

Read Less

Rocky Hill Animal Hospital is under NEW ownership!!! Dr. Jeter is awesome and all 4 of my dogs LOVE him! His staff is awesome too! Lizzie takes care of the kennels and my dogs ADORE her! I can't speak to the previous ownership, but I can say that this Rocky Hill Animal Hospital is NEW and IMPROVED and a wonderful place where your animals will receive amazing care! Read Less

Read Less
