During the initial visit, veterinarians examine the pet’s history and behavior together with recent changes in its conduct and household role. Examinations center on inspecting an animal's posture as well as ear and eye clarity. Professionals also check the animal’s skin, hydration status, walk, and temperament around people and other animals. The presence of mild coughing and low appetite should be considered in context, especially if there are multiple pets in the house. West Bearden Veterinary Hospital offers specialized services in wellness planning, diagnostics, and surgery consultation. Moreover, it handles weight tracking and dental checks with a preventive schedule. Care plans take into account owners’ schedules and pet behavior to adjust the number of visits or combine the procedures performed in such a way so as to save time and energy. Households with multiple new dog adoptions, naturally slowing dogs and frequent travel schedules find routine maintenance feasible. Medical personnel assist families in understanding various options by guiding them, and ensuring that the facts are presented in a simple manner that does not overwhelm people. If your pet has a serious issue, do not go here. They are only good for general care. I was told for 3 years that my dog's issue was just arthritis until she could barely get up from lying down. I went to new vet in SC where we moved and he has given my girl a new lease on life with ortho surgery on both knees because of a torn meniscus. It is so good to see her get up easily now and not be in pain. 3 years of pain for my dog is incompetent. Read Less
