My cat broke his toe when he jumped and clinbed a barstool that fell on him. They we're able to work him in immediately. Staff is always nice and office is clean. Only drawback is "accessibility." No ramp. One must negotiate 2 steps onto the porch and another step up/down through the doors. I actually got taken down once when the door closed on my foot/ankle trying to get up that step. Read Less

I went there to get our cat up-to-date on his shots and rabies vaccine. It was quick, but not painless. The entire staff will pull the typical "guilt trip" crap to get you to buy more services. If I had purchased their suggested services I would have paid more than 5 times what I went in for. The nurse, the doctor, the nurse again, and the receptionist tried to sell me, but each time I said "No thank you, I just want these shots." Without fail, they would respond with stats and try to make you feel like a horrible person. It got old fast! I just want to let everyone know what an amazing vet Dr. Tim was to my Pomeranian. He and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my sweet baby was okay. She woke up this morning and was unable to walk. He kept her all day and monitored her closely. Dr. Tim did everything he possibly could. He was extremely nice and narrowed down the possibilities of what was wrong and he even printed me out information to take home. He was very thorough with explaining everything down to every detail. Look what Lavergne Vet Clinic let happen to my pup while she was boarded there from 11/25-12/30When we picked her up her gash was so deep that the white meat was showing, it was weeping and bleeding. It was so bad they had to give her an ANTIBIOTIC but what's worse is that NO ONE CALLED ME OVER THE HOLIDAY OR LEFT ME A VM! They acted as if they didn't know what happened to her and that they think this may be part of her auto immune disease--YEAH RIGHT! She was diagnosed with her auto immune disease in Oct & has been on her meds & has been fine until I boarded her here! I have been using them for years but this was only my second time boarding her. The first time was a couple of years ago & when I picked her up then she had a cut on her nose. Nothing major enough to speak to the vet about but it was noted. I never thought something like this would happen. This total negligence and all they keep saying is that they don't know how it happened. They gave me the antibiotic FREE (whoopi that's what you should do) & I asked her for a full refund of my money for the days she was boarded. I am requesting all of her records be given to me and she will be visiting another vet. She will NEVER return to LaVergne Vet Clinic again. DONT BOARD YOUR PUPS THERE...THEY ARE NEGLIGENT! I've been going to La Vergne Vet Clinic since it opened. So many different vets have come and gone but Raines is here to STAY! I absolutely love that man! He is so kind to my dogs and he cares! Just found out that my mutt MIGHT have cancer and Doc Raines was so caring when he had to tell me. Wont know anything until a biopsy is done and we get the results back and am waiting for hubby to heal enough that I wont be driving him to dr's and PT all the time. In the meantime, the doc put him on a regiment of meds. I wont let anyone touch my dogs but Raines. He is top-knotch! As far as prices??? It's very hard to pay for the upkeep of 2 large dogs when there is very little money coming in but these animals are FAMILY and we are just having to find a way, even if it means selling something. I completely disagree with the other reviewer. My 18 year old cat had a stroke last year and we had to make an emergency trip to have him put down. The vet was not only gentle and kind to him, but also to my husband and I. They also handled his cremation and arrangements so we would not have to deal with the loss and the grief of going to the pet cemetary. Since then we have gotten 2 new kittens in addition to our 3 dogs and remaining cat. Both doctors have treated them and have been nothing but caring, kind, and gentle. They fawn over our cats and play with our dogs. As for price, I'm from San Diego and have lived in TN for 15 years. The price here is so much more reasonable than our vet in SD, Cookeville, Franklin, or Nashville. We've had 3 major surgeries with this vet and all have been very reasonably priced, not to mention extra care was given by the vet to our pets. Yearly shots are very inexpensive as well. So long as I live in TN, I will not go anywhere else but La Vergne Veterinary Clinic. Read Less

I took my beagle in for a skin problem about two months ago. The Vet might have been in the room with us for at most 2 minutes. He diagnosed her and gave us two expensive prescriptions. She has only gotten worse. It was our first time there and it will be our last. He didn't seem to care about his patients or their owners. Going to a different Vet now. Read Less
