Raven and the rest of the staff are so very patient with my especially difficult shih tzu. Plus, I have the peace of mind that there's a veterinarian readily available for any potential issues while he is groomed under sedation. I would highly recommend Animal Medical Clinic to take care of your fur babies. We have two and have only received excellent care. We have had a couple of emergency visits and Dr O'Brien has came in immediately to assist us. She is compassionate and understands a fur baby parent gets upset and she tends to their needs too. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.Let me start off by saying I made an appointment for all three of my furbabies to go in and get their nails trimmed and get updated on all their shots, Kodiak, my Siberian husky, has to be lightly sedated because he freaks out when you try to cut them. Ok. Dropped them off at 8am. They told me they'd call me when they were done with them. I went to Pigeon Forge for the day because my boys could pick them up as we was told it only take a couple hours to do it. Ok. I ended up getting a call from my boys @3:00 saying they haven't been done yet and that I had to leave pigeon forge to pick them up...my sons had to be at work @4:00pm...what??? WHY is it taking so long here to cut bails and give shots??? I had an appointment.I immediately got in my car and got to this place, keeping in mind that's a 45 minute drive from where I'm at- I arrived and was not very happy with them at all. I asked them what was going on. They were busy. Well, I had an appointment with them here. People were waiting in the lobby area waiting for their furbabies. It was a mess.To top it all off, got home and the puppies nails were "ticking" on the hardwood floors. Hmmmmm. Called back up there the next day. Talked to the vet herself. She just got back from vacation. She had NO RECORD that Kodiak was under an anesthetic for his nails. WHAT??? So, I paid for that and it wasn't done. She told me to bring them all back in and they would cut their nails for free. NO.They are NOT going back in here. I paid $596.00 for nails to be cut, one to be knocked out while getting that done and all their shots, and to tell me it wasn't done??I don't trust them.I'm still waiting for my care credit card to be credited the amount I paid for my furbabie to be put under anesthesia and nail trims that werent done.Would NOT recommend at all- Read Less

Dr. O' Brien has been my vet of choice for over 20 years. I have found her to be knowledgable, compassionate, and kind, and I know that my dogs have had the best care possible. When I have had to make difficult choices for two of my dogs, she and her staff have been patient and compassionate, and made me feel like family. In fact, even though I've moved out of Lenoir City, Animal Medical Clinic of Loudon County is where I continue to take my pets. If I could give zero stars I would. I called to book boarding services for my cat before Thanksgiving. They took down all the information and when we brought her in they said "sorry we don't have the reservation and we are full". I had the number on caller ID, the day I called to book, and had all the information. They were not sincerely apologetic and just said we are full. We picked the location beacuse it was very close to come and my cat is very anxious in the carrier. Well luckily another vet clinic was able to get her in, but my poor kitty urinated in the carrier during the long drive there. Terrible service stay away. Read Less

Had taken my dogs back in March for their yearly check up & shots. So tonight I had to call after hours emergency number & Heather called me right back within 4 minutes. Wow! She discussed the issue my dog was having & gave me some suggestions to try before I had to resort to taking him on a Saturday night to see her. Sat in this office for over an hour past the appointment time and still ended up leaving before they even seen my dog. I wouldn't even give these people 1 star!! From the start (2010) we didn't really care for the staff in this office. We continued or dogs' care here in spite of the fact. Every time we visited it was always something other than their annual visits they wanted to test my dogs for, in an attempt to bill for more money. Well this last visit was the final straw. We had to board them due to the fact of leaving for a death in the family. When we dropped them off things were all up to date. We called the first day and they say oh we had to give them the kennel cough shot. Next it was oh your dog has worms, my dogs are indoor dogs and go out in a treated fenced in yard, we consistently check our dogs because we care about them. They proceeded to pretty much call us a liar. And on our bill there was no test shown to prove the worm test was even done. First they say it's caused from fleas 6 months ago, which is the type of worm you will notice in their stool, then they say oh you can't see them only with a microscope. When we got home they refused to give us our dogs and kept them 1 more day, because it was Sunday but we were told from one of the associates that they do sometime release them on Sunday, but they refused. The first day back home we realize they have crazy diareha, oh they say that's from stress and we just noticed on Sunday. Well looking at the bill we notice that they bathed the dogs Thursday and we noticed they had to of washed their bedding as well so our guess is they had this diareha since then and did nothing about it. I just wanted to let others know before they decide to use their services. They say they'll treat your animal as their own but I can tell you that's not true at all.Read Less
