Countryside Veterinary Services

Louisville, Tennessee
General Info
Countryside Veterinary Services in Louisville is a veterinary practice committed to providing comprehensive pet care throughout the community. Located in Louisville, United States, the center is reputable and professional and strives to ensure pets’ and pet owners’ well-being. The experienced team provides wellness plans, regular check-ups, and other services tailored to your pet’s needs. Services often include Diagnostics, Lameness Locator, Cardiology, Equine Care, Livestock/Farm Animal Care, Dental Care and Vaccinations. These treatments are meticulously applied, targeting both prevention and relief. The clinic is well-equipped, and the layout ensures that animals are as comfortable as possible when visiting. As a result, a vet can make an accurate diagnosis, and treatment is more likely to be successful. Clients often highlight the attentive and communicative nature of the staff as a key factor in building trust and ensuring the well-being of their pets. Countryside Veterinary Services continues to thrive as a cornerstone of the Louisville pet-owning community. Whether you want to help your young pet start life healthy or ensure that your older pet gets the necessary support when dealing with chronic conditions, the clinic’s professionals will always be ready to assist. Their passion for animal welfare drives them to continually educate themselves on the latest developments in veterinary medicine. This ensures that pets receive the best possible care. The practice additionally advocates for responsible pet ownership and actively engages with the community, making it a valuable resource for pet families beyond clinical services. Countryside Veterinary Services in Louisville offers animal care programs designed to be flexible for pets from Tennessee while maintaining the necessary structure in their new environment. Every session begins with perimeter awareness when observers take note of how pets explore the room, which zones they avoid, and speed modulation pace. Upon commencing the patient evaluation, the clinic team checks several body-system cues beginning with fur density and external touch tolerance and advancing to oral health, joint range-of-motion, and abdominal flexibility. Owner observations are given the same weight: The animal recently started stalling when approaching stairs, changed its sleeping pattern, began guarding objects, and interacting with household members at different times. Countryside Veterinary Services offers medical mapping that includes orthopedic planning and cardiovascular listening with hydration tracking, dermatological checks plus immune calibration, and energy-rest cycles. Medical procedures are also organized in a specific way where the methodical step-by-step execution is critical for maintaining the predetermined recovery periods before the initiation of subsequent diagnostics. The animal’s behavior determines what needs to be adjusted, e.g., the noise levels, scent layering, or personnel proximity. The aftercare tips are based on the following behavior milestones: how long it takes for the pet to get back to its normal state, where it likes hiding in the house, and which social queues resume or delay. Support maintains its presence via visual touchpoint logs and optional sensory behavior debriefs. Countryside Veterinary Services, which caters to pets in Louisville and surrounding Tennessee areas, views each appointment as an intricate dance that goes beyond the check-in.

Penny. By the time I got Penny to Countryside, we had seen the Emergency vet on Sunday; then our local vet on Wednesday, then 80 miles to Countryside early Friday morning. She was very sick. They ran labs, xrayed her lungs and stomach. Vet thought she had contracted blastomycosis. I do believe the vet treated her with the artillery of medicines she thought best. For that I am grateful. The afternoon that Penny passed away, no one called to tell us her breathing had gotten worse. I wanted to be there, either way, whether she passed or we had to put her out of her suffering. She died alone in her cage. Wondering where her family was. When we went to pick her up the next morning, she was in a garbage bag. That hurt also. She went in Friday morning. Passed away Sunday afternoon. My bill was $958. She had considerably expensive injections to try and fight the blastomycosis. I have no issue with that. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way. But she died. Alone. Could you have given me a break on the $130 xray? Or the $150 labs? Maybe discounted those - or taken oh, maybe 5% off your bill, since she died? That stung. We were left searching for bedside manner and empathy as well. I know it's a good hospital. That's why we went there. But aside from leaving with Penny in a garbage bag, we left disappointed and disheartened this time. Read Less

Countryside Vet Services is the best! Dr. Becky Lillard's quick response (on Christmas Eve) and excellent care saved my horse's life. She made a full recovery after totally severing her rear flexor tendon and was sound until she passed last year at the age of 30. They are state of the art, and compassionate about all animals. Dr. Denny Lillard and Dr. Monica Webb also have provided excellent care for my dogs and cats. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Read Less

I cant say enough about the Staff and Monica at Countryside! We adopted a Husky/Curr mix back in December and my previous vet nearly killed her with a does of Heart Guard. We were recommended to this vet by a clerk at Pet Smart and this was the best move I have ever made. Monica is very thorough with your animals and letting you know what you need to know. If you need them in the middle of the night, they are there for you. They love and take care of your animals so well that my dog gets excited when I pull in the parking lot! Wish I could say that when I have to go to the doctor! :-) Read Less

They kept her for every and then when I finally get her back.. the leg was messed up .. the dogs leg was side ways instead of putting a split like it needed . They just put a cast on it so the leg grew that way .. now I have a lame dog thanks to them.. the horses are terrible shape especially the ones in the back barn.
