Blount Veterinary Clinic was recommended to us by a neighbor. Our Zoey had been diagnosed with a torn ACL by another veterinary service which included x-rays, sedation, charges for short term lodging to the tune of $200 plus. Dr. Hall made the same diagnosis in minutes, demonstrated the surgical procedure to us with a model and quoted us a reasonable amount for the surgery. We immediately made an appointment for the surgery after which Zoey wore a "cast" for a week and now is getting back to normal. We've been taking my pets to Blount Veterinary Clinic so long that I can't remember when we started! The care there has always been great and the prices are reasonable. Dr.walker is the best vet i have ever taken my dogs to see. She is very thorough. She explains everything she is going to do.she and the techs are very gentle with my dog.they are very kind people.ehen we were through, our bill was very reasonable.would recommend this place to everyone! Read Less

I have only been going there for a few months. My pup Isabel is a rescue dog and was treated very poorly before my husband adopted her. My husband passed away last year and Isabel doesn't trust easily since he has been gone. When I take her in the door she is shaking all over and by the time we walk out she is wagging her tail. Great staff and very patient with Isabel and they also wipe my tears as well. Read Less

PLEASE PLEASE do NOT go to this vet. I will tell you about my experience and how everyone in the office handled this situation in an extremely disturbing way. We brought our 7yr old lab/pit mix (who never met a stranger, kindest most loving dog) to the vet at 7:30am on a Thursday morning for what we thought was pancreatitis. The vet came in at 8am did a brief exam and took blood. Came back and also thought pancreatitis. You could visually see the discomfort and pain, my usual happy dog, was in. So of course we said goodbye and they kept him to give him fluids and gi cocktail, told me to call back between 2-4pm to check on him. When leaving I told them how sensitive he is and anxious he is about vets and to please give him a little loving. I called back at 2pm, talked to vet and she stated he stopped throwing up but needed to stay the night and they might want to do X-ray in morning to check for foreign body. I asked if I should call back in a few hours to check she stated no just call back at 9am the next day. I called back 30min later and said please do X-ray today if you think he needs it vs tomorrow. After that I never heard from them. I called back at 9am on the dot the next day as I was instructed to find out my dog had passed away overnight. Once the initial shock and devestation passed I started asking questions to find out they did an X-ray the day before with abnormal finding but no one ever called me, my dog died alone and in pain because they didn't care enough to keep him comfortable even though anyone could see he was in pain (I asked what meds were given and none were for pain) and when they got in at 7:30 in the morning they didn't even have the decency to call me, they just waited till I called them. I will never get a chance to say goodbye to our loving family member and will always have horrific feeling that I left him with a vets office that cares nothing about animals, that basically treats them like garbage just throwing them aside. Every vet and tech that works there should be disgraced with themselves, that they could not find the time to call me after the X-ray, call me after they found him in the morning and left him alone suffering in pain. Wow!! Having 6 dogs. 5 being seniors.  We never know when we need medical care for one of our fur babies. The care is the NUMBER one factor. But being on a tight budget. We are not gouged , like most vet clinic do. Thank you again!!!! Read Less

We have been using Blount Veterinary Clinic for the last 13 years since we moved into Blount County. Dr Hall and Geneva greet us by name every time we come in even when we don't have an appointment. Can't say enough good about them. Read Less

If Google would let me choose 0 stars, I would. I would not dare recommend this clinic to anyone. My parents are seniors and brought their ill pet here. She was misdiagnosed, without even being tested for the disease that she was diagnosed with. She was left on IVs, basically to die. If she hadn't been removed from this facility and taken to a competent facility where she was properly tested & diagnosed with the correct condition, she would not be alive today. Please think twice before choosing this clinic for anything other than simple yearly vaccinations. Affordability is not all that is important. Read Less

I've been going to this vet with my pets for about 10 years now. They are extremely helpful, and they have reasonable prices. They definitely care about animals. It is in a place where it's slightly hard to find, but other than that it's perfect. About a year ago we had to put our 8 year old cat down for liver failure. They tried to do everything they could, and they were honest that letting her stay there was not going to guarantee her getting better (They could have just lied and said it would to get the $1500). After they put her down, a week later we received a personalized card from them where they gave their condolences for our loss. Very nice people. Read Less

Terrible service and not very intelligent people. I will never be back, and I recommend that people not visit this vet for any diagnostic or surgical procedures as they are poorly equipped regarding both outdated instruments/tools and in intelligence. I would assume that most vets would review patient records when attempting a diagnosis, especially when the methodology of a procedure depends on preexisting health conditions, and some procedures may harm the patient. I love this vet office. Everyone is great, their prices are reasonable and they really love animals, and that is the best part. My Sadie bug had to have knee surgery so I went ahead and had her dew claws removed along with having her spay. Sadie has done really good and the staff was great with her. They have been patient with me in my worries concerning her surgeries but their reassurance has been a comfort for me. Dr. Hall and all the staff, I just want to say thank you for your love and concerns for all animals but for my Sadie Rose especially. Read Less
