Can't say enough good things. Took my 7 week old cocker spaniel, Julian in for his first visit. Since I moved here recently it was mine as well.
The staff was friendly and attentive. The appointment started a couple of minutes late so I was pleased to find the waiting area very pleasant and large enough to feel comfortable with the other pets and owners.
Dr. Hicks checked Julian out, clearly and concisely explained the vaccinations that will be needed and patiently answered my questions. While I previously had a cocker, we were living in Maine then so I needed and received a quick orientation to caring for one in the very different Tennessee climate.

I have been coming here for years. Have seen several vet's. Dr. Hicks is AMAZING!!!! I have ALWAYS sensed care & love here (especially from the techs!!!). I have a ridiculous number of pets, most with special needs. They are knowledgeable but also value quality of life for the critter in relation to proposed treatments. They have been more than generous with the costs/payments for me as well. I have used several different vet's in Blount & Sevier counties. Most care only about how you plan to pay, then ask about the critter. Hmmmm....

Always far behind schedule, as bad if not worse that a doctor's office. Dr. Loller talks ENTIRELY too much, so much so that she actually makes me angry. Treatment is decent office is clean.

We brought our cat here to have her checked out generally speaking and we were pretty happy with the doctor who seemed very caring and certainly knew what she was talking about. The facility was beautiful but the lady at the desk had a scowl on her face that I didn't appreciate.... I think she needs a little more customer service training. I would have given five stars had it not been for her.

Love Dr. Hicks to pieces, she's taken care of my pets for years and I am a very picky person about who I let help me make medical decisions for them. She has always been very friendly, helpful, and thorough. This hospital is large, clean, and up to date which I really do appreciate. The technicians/assistants are always very polite and also well informed. I will continue to take my animals here as long as I live in the area!

Was taking my dogs to a large busy vet practice in Maryville. Went there 3 times saw three different veterinarians for my dogs ear infection and not one of them took the time to really look at her ear...
Was taking my dogs to a large busy vet practice in Maryville. Went there 3 times saw three different veterinarians for my dogs ear infection and not one of them took the time to really look at her ears or suggest they thoroughly clean them before having me treat her ears at home. I was fortunate to find Dr Hicks at Southwind who throughly examined and then throughly flushed and cleaned her ears so she could visualize the eardrums which were intact. Now I feel confident that the treatment we do at home will be successful. Thank you Dr Hicks for taking the time.

I first met Doctor Lollar a few years ago when she was working at another veterinarians office in Maryville and immediately loved her, I knew right then that this was the vet that I wanted to use from there on out. Needless to say I was heartbroken when I needed to take one of my girls back in and she was no longer there. After a very bad experience with another vet I came home and Googled her and found out she had bought this clinic. I was ecstatic!!! So when it was time for my girls yearly visit I made an appointment and couldn't have been happier with the results. Doctor Lollar and her whole staff at Southwind are amazing! You couldn't ask for better people to take care of your furrbabies. You can tell that they love what they do, and they don't try to rush you out the door. They took almost an hour extra with my girl who had had the bad experience and was terrified when we first got there, just getting her comfortable and over her nervousness. Doctor Lollar also gave me a tour of the facilit while I was there. First and foremost it is CLEAN, you don't deal with any unpleasant odors as soon as you walk in. It's also spacious and very up to date equipment wise. My girls have found their FUR-EVER doctors . I would highly recommend them to everyone who is looking to get the best care possible for their animals. I know I won't ever be going anywhere else.

We met Dr Lollar by accident. Our sweet Great Pyrenees mix was very old and sick and we knew we needed to euthanize him soon for his sake even though we didn't want to let go. My mom and I were driving home from the store and we saw this RV like thing in someone's driveway and it said MOBILE VETRINARIAN or something like that. My mom said, "Look them up and see if they would come to the house to put Sterling to sleep. It would be so much easier on him. I just hate the thought of taking him to an office for this." I looked up "mobile veterinarians" and it pulled up Southwinds and I called. I made the appointment for the date my parents had already previously decided on. The receptionist asked if I wanted to pay now so I wouldn't have to worry about it then and of course the answer was "yes". Little did we know I had NOT called the RV Vet but Dr Lollar and I'm so glad I did. She sat on the living room floor with us and explained everything and stayed with us for quite a while after and offered to help my dad carry Sterling. I'll never go to another vet again. I have also nominated her for City View Magazine's BEST of the BEST in the veterinarian category. She is a wonderful vet with so much compassion. She not only took care of our Sterking but took care of his people because we will always be Sterking's people. Dr Lollar truly has more grace and compassion than probably anyone o have ever met. If you have a furry family member the see her.

I called so many places about putting him down and they all wanted to charge $70 or more to put him down. Seaweed was not even a pound! It almost came down to letting him die in pain til I call Southwind. I explained to them he was old and wasn't even a pound but we needed him put down before it got to painful for him. I cried When they told me they would only charge $25! This place is in it for the animals!! Now me and my husband will use them for now on!

I wanted to take a moment to share my very positive experience thus far with Southwind. Some folks who are reading this may be considering switching from another vet in Maryville, like I was. I am glad that I did. Dr. Laviola and Dr. Hill are both kind, caring, and attentive. The main difference I noticed was how much time they are willing to spend with me and my pets. The office is clean, well staffed, and calm, which was a welcome change from my old vet. My cat was under the weather recently and even though I was a new patient, they held my hand through the entire ordeal, taking lots of time to explain the situation and every option. I look forward to working with them with all my pets now and in the future.

Dr. Laviola is a wonderful, caring, and highly knowledgeable vet. We have 3 cats and a dog, all with issues. She has proven over and over to have terrific diagnostic skills. We have always been treated like family. You are never rushed. She is patient and a terrific listener. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my four legged family. The new office is beautiful. The staff, from the front desk, to assistants, etc. are all great too.

Recently returned to the area and Jack had to go to the doctor his first day here. Had a problem with his ear. Researched area vets and picked Southwind. Glad we did. Got his stitches out today. Great staff, great Vet. Very accommodating, very good with Jack. Never felt compelled to write a review before. Can't say enough about them.

I first met Doctor Lollar a few years ago when she was working at another veterinarians office in Maryville and immediately loved her, I knew right then that this was the vet that I wanted to use from there on out. Needless to say I was heartbroken when I needed to take one of my girls back in and she was no longer there. After a very bad experience with another vet I came home and Googled her and found out she had bought this clinic. I was ecstatic!!! So when it was time for my girls yearly visit I made an appointment and couldn't have been happier with the results. Doctor Lollar and her whole staff at Southwind are amazing! You couldn't ask for better people to take care of your furrbabies. You can tell that they love what they do, and they don't try to rush you out the door. They took almost an hour extra with my girl who had had the bad experience and was terrified when we first got there, just getting her comfortable and over her nervousness. Doctor Lollar also gave me a tour of the facilit while I was there. First and foremost it is CLEAN, you don't deal with any unpleasant odors as soon as you walk in. It's also spacious and very up to date equipment wise. My girls have found their FUR-EVER doctors . I would highly recommend them to everyone who is looking to get the best care possible for their animals. I know I won't ever be going anywhere else.

We met Dr Lollar by accident. Our sweet Great Pyrenees mix was very old and sick and we knew we needed to euthanize him soon for his sake even though we didn't want to let go. My mom and I were driving home from the store and we saw this RV like thing in someone's driveway and it said MOBILE VETRINARIAN or something like that. My mom said, "Look them up and see if they would come to the house to put Sterling to sleep. It would be so much easier on him. I just hate the thought of taking him to an office for this." I looked up "mobile veterinarians" and it pulled up Southwinds and I called. I made the appointment for the date my parents had already previously decided on. The receptionist asked if I wanted to pay now so I wouldn't have to worry about it then and of course the answer was "yes". Little did we know I had NOT called the RV Vet but Dr Lollar and I'm so glad I did. She sat on the living room floor with us and explained everything and stayed with us for quite a while after and offered to help my dad carry Sterling. I'll never go to another vet again. I have also nominated her for City View Magazine's BEST of the BEST in the veterinarian category. She is a wonderful vet with so much compassion. She not only took care of our Sterking but took care of his people because we will always be Sterking's people. Dr Lollar truly has more grace and compassion than probably anyone o have ever met. If you have a furry family member the see her.

I called so many places about putting him down and they all wanted to charge $70 or more to put him down. Seaweed was not even a pound! It almost came down to letting him die in pain til I call Southwind. I explained to them he was old and wasn't even a pound but we needed him put down before it got to painful for him. I cried When they told me they would only charge $25! This place is in it for the animals!! Now me and my husband will use them for now on!

I wanted to take a moment to share my very positive experience thus far with Southwind. Some folks who are reading this may be considering switching from another vet in Maryville, like I was. I am glad that I did. Dr. Laviola and Dr. Hill are both kind, caring, and attentive. The main difference I noticed was how much time they are willing to spend with me and my pets. The office is clean, well staffed, and calm, which was a welcome change from my old vet. My cat was under the weather recently and even though I was a new patient, they held my hand through the entire ordeal, taking lots of time to explain the situation and every option. I look forward to working with them with all my pets now and in the future.

Dr. Laviola is a wonderful, caring, and highly knowledgeable vet. We have 3 cats and a dog, all with issues. She has proven over and over to have terrific diagnostic skills. We have always been treated like family. You are never rushed. She is patient and a terrific listener. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my four legged family. The new office is beautiful. The staff, from the front desk, to assistants, etc. are all great too.
