Dr Gerald Blackburn is the best vet in the entire mid south. He's been our vet for over 20 years... long enough to see his hair turn gray lol.  He takes all the time you need answering any questions you may have and he asks plenty of questions to ensure your pets get the best possible care without running a ton of unnecessary costly tests.  This man loves what he does and it totally shows in the care and respect given to his clients. If only all vets were like Dr B. His entire staff is awesome (especially Carrie the office manager who I miss seeing up front).  Please see Dr B. for your veterinarian needs. Absolutely the best veterinarian and staff around! They are so caring and truly care about what they do. When you go here you can tell they really do care about your pet and their health and well being. Dr. Blackburn is one of the best human beings I have met! He sat on the floor with us when our girl passed and did not rush us at all. Many years ago I was breeding a very rare breed of dog that needed a lot of reproductive help. I made and appointment and interviewed Dr. Blackburn without taking a dog. That was the beginning of a relationship that I value greatly. I no longer am a breeder, but I will always be a dog lover. The latest addition to our family is the beautiful Barney that we rescued from Dr. Blackburn's office. He is wonderful, and a perfect fit for myself and my husband.
