Been taking our dog here for over a year now. They are easy going and relaxed, but the vets on hand are very knowledgeable and put your dogs health first. We even left our dog with them while out of town for Thanksgiving, when she had ring worm, and the vet checked on her and noticed she needed some antibiotics and treated her as needed. She was returned to us almost cured after only spending a few days with them. The vet we have, always selects the safest treatment options available. We even had to take our dog to the emergency room once and the vet followed the case afterwards and made sure the treatment selected by the emergency care was safe for our dog, ect. Overall a fantastic place to take your pets. A little expensive but not so bad your mouth falls open. I would say to shop around for heartworm and flea treatments before buying there. The Veterinarians are wonderful. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and truly excited to see pets they have seen before. The only thing I would change is the front desk woman. She is not very personable, seems almost put out with being there or me being there. I will say one thing,, she is consistent. Consistently in the same sour disposition every time I go in there. I Love Dr. Williams! This is a great Animal Hospital, Veterinarian, and Dog Boarding facility! We never have to worry when we bring our dogs to be examined, treated, or even just boarded for the weekend! We've lived here for 21 years . . . have constantly had (3) under our roof over this time period and have seen numerous vets since 1995 who were highly touted or recommended to us by friends and acquaintances Wrong!! Good people, I take both of my pitbulls to Grace. I've never waited more than 30 minutes and they always make sure to answer all my questions. Baxter loves all the pretty girls that work there! They don't write prescriptions for 1-800-PetMeds anymore because Dr. Williams can't verify for certain who they get it from. So you have to buy it directly from them, which can be a little time consuming and pricey if you don't live downtown (or can only buy 3 month supplies at a time). All in all, I trust them. I'd heard so many good things about Grace, but when I walked in, I could not have been more frustrated. The receptionist was not welcoming at all; she seemed more annoyed by our presence than happy about having a new client/customer. When I went to pick up my dog, no vet had called me or given me a report. And the cost...$320!!! Come to find out, they had added $120 of medicines & supplements I didn't ask for or even want (I order flea/tick/heartworm medicine off 1-800-PetMeds). Further, they gave him the 60-120 lb. dosage, even though he's barely 50 lbs. When I clarified all this & told them I didn't need the medicine, the receptionist (again) seemed annoyed, but refunded my card for the $120. UPDATE: Matt at Grace Animal Hospital called me to follow-up. He apologized for the issues I experienced & promised to address them. I also spoke with the vet that performed the exam & appreciated the additional information he was able to provide. I'm not sure whether I'll be back or not, but I appreciated the follow-up & am at least a little more inclined to give Grace another chance. Read Less

I was a new client. From the moment I walked in the door, until I left I was treated like a long time client. Everyone is so nice. I had a pretty tricky situation with my cat Buddy. Dr. Williams is nothing short of PAWSOME! I love these guys, and I will be bringing all of my pets here in the future. They are not close to my home, but they are worth the drive. The Staff at Grace Animal Hospital is very nice and friendly.  The problem is there is so many new faces and it's very hectic. When I'm there, it appears to be a lot of people in training.  It takes too long to see the Veterinarian even if you have made an appointment.   Each time I have gone, I have waited 15 to 20 minutes which is a pain when you have a dog that doesn't want to be there in the first place. Good Dr.s I have used them for two of my animals, and they are not above admiting when they do not know what is going on. But they also do not leave you hanging. I had a dog w/ a rare form of cancer presenting in an abnormal way. Dr. Williams told me he did not know, and sent me to Animal Specialist of Memphis. He has also done a great job of treating my other dog for a sever infection and routing check ups w/ letting her breed intimidate or cause any bias. Read Less

Dr Williams is amazing! He constantly works with us to adjust medications and treatment approaches for our previously mangey rescue pup! He takes such pride in his patients and their owners and I practically have to kick him out of the exam room when I'm out if questions. We have used Grace so many times for the care of little ones and they have not let us down. One time I had to take one of them in on a Saturday and Dr. Williams gave me his cell number to call if he was still not doing better on Sunday as they were closed. Also, recently we had to put down one of them and the staff was a true blessing. They came in and got on the floor with us to comfort him and us in his last moments. We love Grace. Grace animal hospital has everything you could possibly need for your puppy.  Daycare, boarding, grooming and veterinarian (they will even come and pick your pup up for appointments).  We have used every service and have always been happy.  We have a goldendoodle, a groomer's nightmare :) and they do a great job (not once have they shaved him down to a bald little puppy).The staff is great and make us feel like our dog is part of their family.  Love, love, love Grace Animal hospital.  Thank you so much for taking care of Fozzie!!! Getting a dog is a huge decision.  Finding a great vet/animal hospital you trust is even harder.  My co-worker referred me to Grace's and I decided to give it a try and send my dog there for a weekend when I had to go out of town.  I walked in on a Friday and the staff was incredibly friendly.  I tried to play it cool like "oh whatever, it's just a dog, he will be fine for the weekend", but yeah, I was totally freaking out.  They showed me around, explained the schedule for the dogs, and made me feel comfortable.  Their facility was nice and clean, so I walked out of there a little less worried.Fast forward to Monday.  I go to pick up my dog and they walk him out with all of his stuff and he's as happy as can be!  Ever since then, I bring my dog to Grace's for doggie daycare, overnight boarding and anytime he needs to see the vet (who is great, by the way).  They do nail trimming, shots, baths, whatever...and best of all, they can do it all while you're at work and when the dog is having fun in daycare!  This is key for anyone who works and can't just take off in the middle of the day.Now, when I look at my pooch and say "Want to go to Grace's?" Love that Grace is right behind our condo down town! So convenient and such friendly staff! Our pup was exhausted after spending the day at their Doggie Day Care and we have heard nothing but great things from our neighbors who send their dogs there. They also took great care of our pup when he got sick and we rely on them to clip our pup s's little toe nails. My only complaint is the higher prices than we are used to paying, but I understand bc they have such a convenient location down town. Without a doubt, Dr. J.D. Williams is the finest vet with the most phenomenal surgical talent I've ever encountered. I have watched this man bring animals back from " point of no return" that not only others would have not had the skill and ability to save, but also would not have the ethical heart because they were a stray. Great Vet with other good services as well.  At grace, you can take your dog to doggie day care, get your dog groomed, and board your dog.  The people are very friendly and they very quickly learn your name and your dog when you are a regular.  Stephanie at the front desk is very friendly and helpful always.  I think my only complaint would be their hours, which are 7:30 - 6, sometimes its just tough to get there on a busy day, but other than that, they are a great vet! Epi, my Jack Russell "terror" mix is a patient of the hospital and goes to daycare there each week. She LOVES it. The staff is so kind and knowledgable and staff members give trustworthy advice. The daycare and medical areas are clean and the prices for care are reasonable. The vet believes in conservative care. Additionally, the hospital is affiliated with the Streetdog Foundation so It's nice to see the folks there taking care of the Foundation and support that effort too. Read Less

I've learned that I am not a dog person. Really, I'm not an animal person. It's not that i don't like animals. It's that I'm selfish, and  lazy, and (apparently) extremely self-aware of my faults. Yea, your fur all over the house is endearing and I love how you slob all over the place after you drink water, and it just tickles me pink when you chew up my size 15 $300 shoes. I can deal with all that. What I don't like about animals is that they depend on me for everything: food, water, shelter.  I'm a firm believer in contributing to the household, and if you don't cook, clean, and make money, I don't want you living with me. My girlfriend, however, has a slightly different outlook on life. Here's an excerpt from the conversation I had with her regarding the adoption process:Her: Do you like dogs?Me: I like dogs. Maybe even love dogs. But dogs are like kids: they are more fun when you can return them to their owners.Her: Well, I'm thinking about adopting one. Me: ...that's great?Her: Ok, i found the one I want.Me: -_-Her: I put your name and your number on her collar, too.Me: @#%!$% Her: What did you say? Me: I said "yea!"Since she doesn't live with me, and I'm not foolish enough to believe that the phrase "I'm putting my foot down" actually means anything, I just rolled with it. What she failed to tell me, however, is that her mom feels the same way I do. Which means when we left for the holidays, we had to find a place to kennel the dog. I don't know how she settled on Grace Animal Hospital, but I'm glad she did. Once you step inside the hospital, you'll notice how extremely clean the place is. There is no stench and you don't have to worry about stepping in puddles of unknown substances. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. And my girlfriend's dog seems to genuinely enjoy the experience whenever she goes. As an added bonus, the staff will bath and groom your  dog during the duration of the boarding if you so desire. If I had to have a dog, I'm glad it's Curie. And I'm glad that she has Grace Animal Hospital . Read Less
