Died in post-op "observation". 10 Minutes after I called to confirm time (and was confirmed) to pick up my cat [returning a voicemail I had received an hour earlier that he just got out of surgery and was doing well], the doctor called back to say he had "expired". Thanks for talking about my cat like he's a coupon after you killed him. Thanks for your diligent "observation".
FYI: Was advised to get the pre-anesthesia ($45) to make my cat "extra comfortable" before the regular anesthesia. They also gave my cat vaccines (incl. rabies) along with said concoctions. Doctor said "sorry, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" No explanation provided. RIP Beni.

Great service, quick. I was in-and-out. I know a lot of pet people hate hearing that because it feels like a machine, but for just a simple vaccine, I don't see a problem with it. They let me comfort my dog while she was in there and the lady was super-nice and tried to get to know my dog for a while before she made direct contact. For what it is and how it's supposed to be used, they're absolutely fine.

My kitten broke her foot and she had to have a cast put on, about 5 days passed and I noticed her paw really swollen so I took her back up there because obviously it was because the cast was too tight, (her paw was fine the day after the cast was taken off,) I told the vet that her paw is swollen because the cast was too tight and she said, "I can't confirm that because I don't know what it looked like before the cast." I still had to pay for that vet visit even though it was their fault. I feel bad for even writing this review because I hate people who complain about businesses but please don't go to them, they will make your pet worse.

Absolutely love PetVax Southwind! Everyone is so friendly! I have a crazy chocolate lab and they've even offered to help me get him in and out of the car before. They always take good care of my sweet crazy boy and I love the convenience of being able to drop off for check up, vaccines, or a bath when needed. They even call sometimes to check on him after treatment for things and are good at reminding you when you're due for vaccinations!! Also more cost effective! Highly recommend! Thanks for making taking care of my pet easier!!

Today we took our sweet kitty to the Poplar location fearing the worst. Our vet was sweet and caring with her and helped us make the best decision for our cat. After taking her home to say our goodbyes, we brought her back and they gently helped us through our loss. We cannot say thank you enough for understanding how hard that was for us and allowing us to stay with her til the end. I couldn't have asked for a more understanding staff.

The room even had a sound machine that drowned out the barking in the lobby! Then an amazing technician named Megan came in and used her magical touch and made a friend out of my frightened cat! She is definitely their car whisperer and we will specifically request her in the future! We had a great receptionist, too! Pricing is so reasonable, we got in and out easily even though we were a walk in, and most important of all... The cat (and ourselves) weren't traumatized! Thanks PetVax Bartlett!

The vets are very understanding and the staff is wonderful. Amanda in East Memphis and Valerie in Germantown have been so accommodating to us over the years. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had my cat spayed at the East Memphis location, and she was still going into heat. So I took her back in, knowing that some ovaries can be missed in cats sometimes. I just wanted them to make sure she had all of them removed. They were not willing to look at her any further than I physical exam. I took her to another vet who removed the rest of her ovaries.

I've been nothing but impressed with the caring service, convenience and reasonable prices at Petvax each time I've brought an animal in for care. Even with an appointment at other veterinary offices, you often have to wait longer than you do as a walk-in at Petvax. I've never felt rushed by the techs or veterinarians and have been able to ask any questions I might have. I would not hesitate to recommend them to care for any pet in a professional, caring way!

This is an amazing animal care operation run by wonderful, caring people! I use them for most of my personal pets and all of the animals in my care as a rescue professional. The vets always take the time to explain what's going on, what options I have and what to expect moving forward. And in the few times that a health issue is something they feel could be better handled by another specialist, they don't hesitate to make a referral. They've seen me through happy and sad times and always make me feel that they truly care!

I have been a customer of PetVax for 6 years. Every year, the prices increase while the service declines. In fact today, they didnt even have a doctor on-staff that could write prescriptions. My wife took my dog to the Southwind location so we could refill his anxiety medicine. They told him that a doctor would need to do a $50 evaluation, no problem. Then, after the exam, they hand my wife an estimate for a $170 blood test (which needs to be done before they refill the prescription). Side-stepping the necessity of this blood test, my wife declined. They would not waive the $50 fee even though they NEVER told her that the blood test was a requirement. In other words, she wouldnt have consented to a $50 charge if she knew that a $170 blood test was also needed. One of the employees explained to her that this is how medicine works. I called and spoke to the administrator, Angela about the issue. She felt that the acceptable response is to argue with me throughout the conversation, and telling me twice, sorry you feel that way. We are pulling both of our dogs from their care, and our family and friends will follow suit. I hope they enjoy that $50. Be careful of this company and their tactics.

Apparently, veterinary medicine doesn't subscribe to the motto, "Do no harm." After they get done progressively causing more damage than good, they'll look at you with a straight face and say, "We'd prefer not to have you as a customer. Here's your bill." Real classy.

My kitten broke her foot and she had to have a cast put on, about 5 days passed and I noticed her paw really swollen so I took her back up there because obviously it was because the cast was too tight, (her paw was fine the day after the cast was taken off,) I told the vet that her paw is swollen because the cast was too tight and she said, "I can't confirm that because I don't know what it looked like before the cast." I still had to pay for that vet visit even though it was their fault. I feel bad for even writing this review because I hate people who complain about businesses but please don't go to them, they will make your pet worse.

Good prices, make sure you try to stick with one vet, they will alternate days so ask in advance to see the same doctor.

The other Petvax locations are ok but the East Memphis location is the best. Wonderful staff, clean /calming environment, very organized. Petvax is the only vet I recommend.

They always take good care of my sweet crazy boy and I love the convenience of being able to drop off for check up, vaccines, or a bath when needed. They even call sometimes to check on him after treatment for things and are good at reminding you when you're due for vaccinations!! Also more cost effective! Highly recommend! Thanks for making taking care of my pet easier!!

Today we took our sweet kitty to the Poplar location fearing the worst. Our vet was sweet and caring with her and helped us make the best decision for our cat. After taking her home to say our goodbyes, we brought her back and they gently helped us through our loss. We cannot say thank you enough for understanding how hard that was for us and allowing us to stay with her til the end. I couldn't have asked for a more understanding staff.

Every time I go, the staff is friendly and fast. They open early and close late enough for me to take my cat after work. The facility is really clean and beautiful. I am always impressed when I go.

The room even had a sound machine that drowned out the barking in the lobby! Then an amazing technician named Megan came in and used her magical touch and made a friend out of my frightened cat! She is definitely their car whisperer and we will specifically request her in the future! We had a great receptionist, too! Pricing is so reasonable, we got in and out easily even though we were a walk in, and most important of all... The cat (and ourselves) weren't traumatized! Thanks PetVax Bartlett!

The vets are very understanding and the staff is wonderful. Amanda in East Memphis and Valerie in Germantown have been so accommodating to us over the years. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had my cat spayed at the East Memphis location, and she was still going into heat. So I took her back in, knowing that some ovaries can be missed in cats sometimes. I just wanted them to make sure she had all of them removed. They were not willing to look at her any further than I physical exam. I took her to another vet who removed the rest of her ovaries.

I've been nothing but impressed with the caring service, convenience and reasonable prices at Petvax each time I've brought an animal in for care. Even with an appointment at other veterinary offices, you often have to wait longer than you do as a walk-in at Petvax. I've never felt rushed by the techs or veterinarians and have been able to ask any questions I might have. I would not hesitate to recommend them to care for any pet in a professional, caring way!

This is an amazing animal care operation run by wonderful, caring people! I use them for most of my personal pets and all of the animals in my care as a rescue professional. The vets always take the time to explain what's going on, what options I have and what to expect moving forward. And in the few times that a health issue is something they feel could be better handled by another specialist, they don't hesitate to make a referral. They've seen me through happy and sad times and always make me feel that they truly care!

I have been a customer of PetVax for 6 years. Every year, the prices increase while the service declines. In fact today, they didnt even have a doctor on-staff that could write prescriptions. My wife took my dog to the Southwind location so we could refill his anxiety medicine. They told him that a doctor would need to do a $50 evaluation, no problem. Then, after the exam, they hand my wife an estimate for a $170 blood test (which needs to be done before they refill the prescription). Side-stepping the necessity of this blood test, my wife declined. They would not waive the $50 fee even though they NEVER told her that the blood test was a requirement. In other words, she wouldnt have consented to a $50 charge if she knew that a $170 blood test was also needed. One of the employees explained to her that this is how medicine works. I called and spoke to the administrator, Angela about the issue. She felt that the acceptable response is to argue with me throughout the conversation, and telling me twice, sorry you feel that way. We are pulling both of our dogs from their care, and our family and friends will follow suit. I hope they enjoy that $50. Be careful of this company and their tactics.
