After reading all the great reviews, I decided this might be the place I've been looking for to take my 18 week old puppy for the rest of her life, along with a second puppy I am adopting soon. Today I called to get an appointment because our puppy is peeing blood and was told "I am sure you can get in somewhere else today. The first appointment we have available for a new patient is on Tuesday." Tuesday is five days from today! Who does that?!I guess Wolfchase Animal Hospital has enough business and does not need new patients. Unless you can plan for when your pet is going to be sick, I would steer clear. I mean, really, though, thank you for letting me know what your business is like on the front end! You may have a few great vets, but if you run your practice in this manner, I'll just keep looking for a better place! Read Less

Dr Taylor is completely incompetent. Every time I leave a message for her or she is meant to call me, she doesn't, and she only works one or two days a week so it takes forever to get back in contact with her. The latest thing she has done is not phone the pharmacy to place an urgent order for medication for my dog. I specifically went into the vets to tell them I urgently needed this medicine, when you drop in they never actually let you talk to a vet, this in itself is a bad thing about the whole practice, so after talking with the vet tech and stressing to her the vet must immediately place this order and she guaranteed they would , 2 days later the vet still hasn't called it in. Now its July 4th tomorrow so they and the pharmacy will be closed. I must say Dr Bowers has been very good. But on the whole I do not like how this practice is run and now they have endangered my pet I will reporting them, advising people go elsewhere, and spreading the word of their complete disregard for certain patients. We've been using Wolfchase Animal Hospital since we moved here in 2002. We have always been pleased with the care our dogs have received from the vets here, and also the techs who work there. Took our dog Toby in for his annual checkup and shots yesterday, and to have his ears checked. We just wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Plus, we use their boarding facilities too. Read Less

Best vet office ever.  I have been taking my dog here ever since Dr. Drury cured my little Harley of an infection that no other doctor could.  Sadly, he doesn't work there anymore.  Harley loved him so much.  However, we love the office as a whole! Read Less

Dr. Bowers treated my pet rat for a URI. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable - especially since it is not every place that will treat exotic (non-standard) pets. I was in and out very quickly. Read Less

We just moved here and one of our pups had a hot spot that needed to be looked at. I called first thing in the morning and was able to get an appointment 2 hours later. At the last minute we were forced to find another vet for our Yorkie. Izzy was so happy when we picked her up from boarding. We could tell that she was well taken care of. Extremely friendly staff!!! Dr. Traci Dixon is our favorite vet! Over the years she's taken great care of our pets. We lost track of her for a few years and found her here! The entire staff has been wonderful with our fur babies! The cost here is way better then my previous vet and pet care is just awesome here! Read Less

We have been seeing Dr Taylor at Wolfchase Animal Hospital for years! Since about 2001, she has proved herself to be the most compassionate and precise vet we have ever met. Always taking her time with each animal, nothing ever gets by her. She is great to explain illnesses and treatments, even offering additional advice. It is clear she loves all animals and takes her job very seriously. The world needs more doctors like her. So first I have to say that I love my fellow Yelpers. Being new to Memphis, I needed to find a good vet for my two cats. Based on the recommendations I received, I decided to go to Wolfchase Animal Hospital and I must say I am now a fan! This morning I was stuck in traffic on I40E...ughh!!! so I called to tell them that I was running late. Not only were they so nice, they told me that they would see me when I got there and for me not to worry. When I finally got there, I walked in with my cats and was greeted and told that they would be right with me. One of the girls at the front desk handed me paperwork to fill out and told me to have a seat. As I filled out the forms, I looked around and noticed how clean and organized everything was. It was also quite a large space that have several examination rooms, boarding areas, and even an area that had pet supplies for purchase. When I finished my paperwork, I handed it to them and they took my cats to be weighted. When they finished weighting them, I waited about 10 minutes before we saw the vet. Wolfchase Animal Hospital has several vets but we were seen by Dr. Bowers. I found Dr. Bowers to be very kind as he was so gentle with my cats. Being very concerned about my cats,I had plenty of questions for Dr. Bowers and he was very knowledgable and helpful in addressing all of my concerns. My cats received their annual physical and one of them needed their annual shots. Overall, I have found a new vet for my cats. They will from here on out be my normal vet. After a freak accident my dog began having seizures. She spent the night with the emergency vet and then was released to us to take to our vet. I was recommended by another vet to take my sweet girl here. They are affordable and very caring. They are sweet from start to end and never once did I get the feeling of being blamed. You normally get interrogated when something like this happens but this vet didn't interrogate us. Instead she was immediately taken back and he listened to what happened told us the treatment plans and estimate. I'm sold now and all four of my dogs will be taken to them from here on out. We knew back then that we had found our new vet "home" for our two Labradors. However, after this week and a very very sick lab, we met Dr. Drury. What a life saver he is, literally! I am very glad to have found this vet. They are very good with the pets and are conscious of our feelings. They always have a positive attitude. Worked with Dr Dixon first and she is great... Another thing I like about them is they have one Doctor that deals with Exotics and in particularly for my new Savannah Kitten. I can't say that my dog or cat really enjoys going to the vet, just as we do not like going to the doctor, but they work with us very well. All the staff is so very qualified and ready to take care of your furry family and you will not find better Doctors anywhere! Their skills are so unique and we have owned a lot of pets and been to a few Vets in their time. They have seen us through new puppies to letting go of the injured or sick ones. Dr. Dixon is one of the NICEST and SINCEREST vets I've ever been around.  And I've been around MANY!  Staff was very pleasant and seemed to love what they do. I couldn't get home fast enough to write this review!  I had to take my dog to the vet this evening.  I wasn't sure if I could get an appointment so last minute, but it was no problem.  Wolfchase was recommended to us by someone D works with, so we figured it couldn't be too bad...  It was great!  From the minute we walked in, the people checking us in were super friendly, and they really seemed to love all the animals that came through the door.  What we loved most, though, was Dr. Taylor!!  She was wonderful, and kind, and funny, and seemed to enjoy the company of not just our dog, but us, too.  They also have an online "Pet Portal" that I know we will be using to make appointments and keep up with Roosevelt's records.  Thanks so much! We have been bringing our three cats and two dogs to Dr. Taylor and the caring staff of Wolfchase Animal Hospital for a number of years and have never been less than satisfied with either their service or their "heart." In fact, the first review here is so out of line with my experience that I would tend to discount it entirely. In fact, if your poor dog was suffering so, why in the world didn't you take to one of the area's many pet emergency rooms? There is one less than five minutes away from WAH. Read Less

Aww.. Reading the other review for Wolfchase Animal Hospital makes me sad! I actually got a Yelp account just so I could throw in my own opinion. What happened to Mich M. sounds very terrible, but not at all like anything I have experienced in my 10+ years of using this hospital. Calling Dr. Taylor, who happens to be my dog & cat's vet, "selfish" is downright silly. She is a wonderful doctor-- professional but always willing to explain any complications in terms that I will understand. I really appreciate how she takes plenty of time with her patients and shows genuine concern for their welfare. This has been my personal experience with Dr. Taylor, but the same can be said for the rest of the staff. I feel lucky to live so close to such a stellar veterinary hospital, and would recommend this place to anyone! Read Less

Uncaring Dr. Taylor let my poor 15 year old dog suffer over the weekend and wouldn't see us until monday despite my begging to help my dog. My dog died Tuesday and could have lived if she had had enough heart to see us sooner and give him medicine. She's a selfish person and should have never been a vet in the first place. Read Less
