I just got a puppy a few days ago and realized she has worms and is sick. I went into this Banfield, already having a Wellness plan on my other dog. They would not see my puppy today and turned me away. At 9:18 AM, they said they were a 1 doctor hospital and cannot accept walk ins or let us wait at all. I am glad my dog comes off her Wellness plan this week, because I will not be renewing it. Read Less

We have had some wonderful experiences at the Mt. Juliet Banfield. We started going here several years ago when Dr. Gindville was the vet. He was amazing with our cats and dogs. When he left we were very concerned about not getting a good replacement vet because a vet we didn’t care for was joining the team. Dr. Gindville gave us a recommendation for another Banfield vet. Then we got a recommendation from one of the girls that worked the front desk who we loved as well. Once Dr. Kuhlo came on board we were very pleased. One of our first experiences with her was when I had an appointment for Bitsy. I called a couple hours before the appointment to ask if I could bring Emmitt as well because he was acting funny. This was on a Thursday night. The front desk said that would be fine. When we got there, Dr. Kuhlo checked out both dogs and said she wanted to check Emmitt’s blood count before doing anything with Bitsy. I said ok. She came back in a few minutes later and told me that she was really concerned about Emmitt’s blood count. She said she didn’t have the equipment there to do what was needed but she recommended I take him to the emergency vet because she was worried he had some internal bleeding. She made some recommendations for Bitsy and we headed to the emergency vet. When we got there it turned out that yes Emmitt had internal bleeding caused by a cancerous tumor. He is still alive today because of Dr. Kuhlo.
Another positive experience we have had with her is when it came to our cat, Houston. When his cancer was caught it was too late for chemo or radiation to have any real effect. Dr. Kuhlo helped us with palliative care and was so sweet to him. When Houston went to heaven I remember Dr. Kuhlo telling me that Houston was now running in heaven and she gave me a hug. I can’t say enough positive words about Dr. Kuhlo. She is why this Banfield is amazing. Read Less

My dog lee was gulping and swallowing for about a week long, it started to get worse Friday night where i decided that Saturday he was going to the vet. Lee is a 81 pound German shepherd. I had read the night before about the possible problems. I arrived at the vet as a walk in and was forced to go to banfield because of saturdays most vets are booked and only open till noon. Upon arriving the lady at the front Bailey who was very nice and caring around lee checked us in and we were put in room 4.
I met with a younger man the vetinarian and another lady his assistant. I told them about lees past, his diet, everything i knew about him.
They printed a paper of everything they wanted to do which totaled at 717 i believe. This included sedation, xrays, blood work, fecal test, and a few other things. While the price was a lot more then expected i did approve to make sure lee would get better. They sedated lee with me in the room and he shortly fell asleep after. He did have a bowl movement after falling asleep where bailey came in and helped cleaned it up and said to me she would do it even though i was helping. (Thank you Bailey) After that they carried lee to the back.
3 hours passed for this entire process.
While i was sitting in the waiting room i heard a 3rd lady yelling at a dog (Max was his name) to SHUT UP!!!!
Ok so now i have a problem. A dogs natural instinct is to bark, its locked in a room or cage, its scared, its confused, its lonely. ITS A DOG!!!!!! You have no business treating a animal that way especially when people are trusting you to take care of their family and paying a ton of money for it!!!!!!!!!
So being me i decided to take out my phone and do some recording where i was actually able to get the same lady yelling shut up on record saying and i qoute "Shut up MAX!!! i swear im going to send you to a dog food factory where they cut you up into little peices!!!! (well then i know the vetinarian was also in there along with the assistant and the vet said why a dog food factory)
At this point im furious im disgusted i dont trust them with my dog. The vet said lee was a lightweight about sedation and that he only gave him a half a dose. ok? so why was the siringe on the needle full? sounds to me like you are clueless about your job.
753 dollars later lee still has the same problem after all the test after everything, prescription diet everything 753 dollars!!!!!!! and my son is no better.
I will be posting the video i have of them talking and treating the animals bad onto youtube along with talking to a lawyer about this first thing Monday morning
