Well Dr. Clairday sure mislead this time, for the past two years he had fair with my yorkies, but this time I took Sadie in because her limponodes were swollen he felt her all over and said she had cancer, I asked him to take a blood text he said no need to waste the money, so he put her on antiobodies and also steroids, and told me she would eat, drink and pee more, but he failed to disclose all the side effects to me, I am not familiar with steroids so I took him at his word, Big mistake, the second trip in with a 7 day period he took her off the antiobodies and said she would have to be on steroids the rest of her life, again I said xrays and blood work would be helpful, he again it was not necessary, I should have never went back to him, but wanted to believe and trust him and I was in shock. As Sadie continued to take the steroids she was restless, could not sleep, panting, very shallow breathing so it got so bad I took her back and with the sad plan to put her down, Dr. Clairday at that time took a blood text came back in and said her blood work came back better than he expected and I said well is that a negative or positive he just starred at the floor, I discussed her breathing issues with him and he agreed it was not good, and indicated it was going to get worse and she had fluid in her lungs but he never listened to her lungs. Sadie was put down, and later that evening I research the steroids he had Sadie on and the tons of side effects she was having was from them. I called Dr Clairday and told him I should not have put Sadie down, that he failed to tell me all the side effects, he said' Well since I had done my research, I just saved her suffering on down the road: smart mouth rude comment, that was a admission to me he knew she should not have been put down but never discouraged me or explained what was going on with her was side effects from steroids. I had her creamated and when I returned to pick her ashes up Dr. Clairday said I did the right thing that she was dying, she ate well the morning I took her in, she had the restless and panting and breathing issues, the extra peeing or eating or drinking water did not ever become a issue but the other did. He failed me and Sadie by not full discloser he give out medicine with out texts to back his diagnois no paper trail to prove what he says, he also does not disclose full information about the drugs he is prescribing and the total side effects of the medicine, that is unusual, now that I think about it, I just had been referred to him and felt I could trust him WRONG, SADIE WAS NOT DYING AND I HAD TRIED FOUR OTHER CLINICS TO SEE HER THEY WERE BOOK, SO I TRIED TO BELIEVE IN DR. CLAIRDAY, NEVER NEVER TAKE YOUR PET TO HIM, I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN HIM AND HIS HONEST ABOUT MY WHOLE ORDEAL WITH SADIE, NOT SURE WHY HE LIED TO ME AND A FEEL OF HER BODY WAS A CANCER DIAGNOSIS, SAID SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUT DOWN, HE CALLED THE FACT SHE WAS A OLD DOG, I HAD TO REMIND HIM SHE WAS MY CHILD NO RESPECT FOR ME AND MY DOG. HE MUST THINK HE IS GOD TO EXAMINE A DOG BY FEELING HER ALL OVER AND IT IS CANCER WITHOUT ANY TEST. HE REFUSED ME BLOOD WORK AND XRAYS, IT WAS NOT HIS MONEY NOT SURE WHY, UNLESS HE KNEW HE COULD BE WRONG, HER BLOOD WORK THE DAY SHE WAS PUT DOWN NOW THAT I HAVE A COPY AND VIEWED BY OTHER VETS WAS CLOSE TO NORMAL. Dr. Clairday is not honest and even said I could bring back the medicine Sadie did not get to take was almost a month supply and he would give it to someone, right he had no one to give it to but add it back to his supply, ILLEGAL to do so, I did not take it back to him, I paid for it and was not about to give it back to him to resale again down the road. I am amazed the good reviews he has, I thought in the past he was really honest and I could trust him now I know he mislead me several times and should have left and found a new Vet, it is very sad when you have to go behind their back to research the medicine he puts your pet on, but you better, Like I did to late and his uncarig rude smart mouth that I saved her pain on down the road. From the blood work take the day she was put down other vets have looked at the results and no indication she had any type of cancer? Clairday must think he is God that he can diagnois cancer by feeling of a dog all over, and not blood work or xrays. He and Countryside Animial Clinic are two that should be avoided at all cost Countryside done three unnecessary surgeries to Sadie for kidney stones when later I was told by a vet and proved to me they could be dissolved with medicine, and there were no more surgerys for Sadie. Dr Clairday was very unprofessional thru this whole ordeal and I should have never went back after the first time and I would still have Sadie, There is no way I could ever recommed him, and I suggest no matter where you go with your pet you always get a second opinion. It appears the was trying to get my dog so sick she would die, shooting himself in the foot no more office visits by her being put down, he should have explained to me the sign effects were causing the issues I had with worry about her and change the steroids or take her off them, for the unknown or proven cancer. IF HE HAD BEEN TRUTHFUL ABOUT THE STEROIDS SADIE WOULD BE ALIVE NOT SURE WHY HE CHOSE TO WITHHOLD INFORMATION LIKE THAT, BUT HE TOOK A OATH AND THAT IS NOT ETHICAL BY A Vets trained standards. I wish I could give him NO Stars. Beware of what I have been thru with him. Also he treated my other yorkie in the past and she passed away at home, I asked for her medical records today and she went to him for two years and passed this past May and he told me he not longer had any records on her, Wow, looks like those should be saved on a slim drive. He failed me and Sadie with his lack for concern and granting my wishes for xrays and blood work it appears he wanted my dog to die or he would have told me the steroids were causing her issues and not to put her down, he showed me his no compassion for a dog or our pets. Clairday knows he done me wrong but wont admit his mistake(s). that cost me my Sadie. Not happy with him at all, do not go to him. Read Less

If I could give Dr. Clariday more stars, I would. I have used a different vet in Mt. Juliet for years for my 3 fur babies. I have had 2 emergency situations with 2 of my fur babies in the past few months, and my long time vet couldn't see them. They were booked up, even for an emergency situation. I called Dr. Clariday and he got them both in immediately. Neither one of my fur babies would be here today without him. I ended up having to take both of them to the er vet where I spent thousands of dollars and was told that one needed a surgery that would cost $8,000 to $10,000 and the other $15,000 to $20,000. I couldn't afford that. Dr. Clariday went over my options with both my fur babies and gave me a choice rather than just telling me to put down my dog of 13 years or spend $15,000 for him to maybe live. He did the surgery on my other fur baby who is 15 years old for a 1/4 of the price that I was quoted at the er vet and kept her multiple days to get her back on track to come home. He called me daily to update me on how they were doing. He was honest, he was concerned and he gave me options rather than telling me to pay a crazy amount of money or put my babies down. Mt. Juliet Animal Clinic will now always have my business. We cannot thank them enough for saving them and allowing us to spend more time with our fur babies. Read Less

Dr. Clariday is great. When we moved to TN we lived in Providence for awhile. The closest place was the animal hospital on Belinda Pkwy so I took my girls there for all their needs. When my very large puppy got diarrhea, I took her there, she was seen, tests were taken, meds were prescribed and I left about $430 later. We moved again and I found this place. 1 year After the original bout with the runs, Brutus got them again. I called Dr. C and he suggested some Imodium (the over-the-counter stuff that is definately NOT $400) for the diarrhea and said if it doesn't get better within a couple days to bring her in. He also knows that an office visit (aka $) every 3 months for my bullhuahuas allergies isn't necessary. He prescribes her pills and says as long as everything is still good, he only needs to see her for her annual check-up. Dr. Clariday is very pleasant, knowledgable, helpful, informative, and willing to take the time to listen, explain, educate, and suggest. Will continue to take all my girls here and recommend to anybody and everybody. It's nice to know people are still in business to serve the people, not take advantage of open hearts and wallets.
