My Boston Terrier has been a patient of Dr Hollis for almost 5 years. She has allergies all year. Dr Hollis put her on a pro-active regime to control them and she responded. Great doctor and staff-always feel as if they have the best interest for my pet. Receptionists and techs are very knowledgeable and caring and Dr. Hollis explains everything in terms that are very easy to understand. This is no animal hospital and you need to stop advertising that you are. I call 12/20/17 about teacup poodle that was falling over and I was afraid he would die. They told me I was not a client so they were booked up. You people make me sick, and anyone who truly loves their pet should not go here. Providence Animal Hospital is a gem!! Very reasonable prices and amazing care. Their boarding is great and very safe and clean. I want to thank Dr. Hollis, Debbie, Linda and staff for their amazing compassion for us and our dog Max when we had to put him to sleep last Monday. Dr. Hollis was with us every step of the way, answering all our questions. He was very kind and caring even sitting on the floor with me while Max took his last breath. I will never go anywhere else. I really WANTED to like this place. I used to take my 4 pets to Dr. Hollis years ago at a different practice, so when I moved near Providence, I thought I'd switch to him. We went twice and boarded our dogs there once. The pros: not busy, easy to get appointments, not a chaotic waiting room, quick to be seen, and Dr. Hollis is super nice (as is the staff). The Cons: MUCH more expensive than Countryside. They take the pet out of the room into the back for examination. The vet and staff spent far more time trying to convince me to switch to the brands of heartworm and flea meds (and food) that they sell than they did with my pet - they even have laminated printouts to try to convince you it's a good deal (it's not). Dr. Hollis told me their prices are "at or better than what you find online" which was not true. (And when I called to ask, the staff member said he will not write a script to be filled anywhere else.) Boarding is pay at the time of reservation and non-refundable. I felt like this vet was more about the money and less about my pets. Super nice guy, that Dr. Hollis, but we're going back to Countryside even if it is a much farther drive. Read Less

I can't say enough good things about this place. We've taken our dogs here since they opened, and they've always been super sweet and great to work with. Our precious Boney was very sick a few nights ago, and at last minute they took their time even at closing to make sure we felt their support as we had to put him down. Everyone there was beyond sweet, and made sure we felt comfortable. I can't begin to put into words how they made us feel during such a sad time. I will always recommend them to anyone! We had excellent help from them when each of our old dogs were dying, and they gave joy filled advice and service when a new puppy was brought home. Brought my new adopted kitten in for updated vaccines and to check to make sure everything was alright with her. After telling the vet, Dr. Hollis, my concerns and worries with being a new cat mom, he explained everything I needed to know and recommended personalized care for my kitten. Of course, I'm not sure my kitten would want to go back after getting stuck with a needle, but they did take very good care of her and I was very happy with the service my kitten and I received. We had to take one of our family dogs today to have him put down. Dr. Hollis, Nicki and Merry we are wonderful. They made one of the hardest days a little easier. We brought him home with us after to bury with our other fur babies that have passed and they put him in a little coffin and gave us an ink print of his paw. Thank you so much for everything. Best vet we've been to. He spends a ton of time with you and is very knowledgeable about any topic that comes up. They have separate waiting rooms where you can take your dogs when it's busy so that they aren't freaking out the whole time, and a really nice covered porch on the back where you can sit with them as well. Very professional and kind, and the facility is very clean. The vet gets on the floor with your dog for the exam instead of putting on the cold metal table where they're scared and uncomfortable. Our dogs in the past have been scared whenever it was time to go to other vets, but our current dogs love going because they're so good to them there. A++ and would definitely recommend. Read Less

We've been taking our Poms to Dr. Hollis long before he had his own facility. This wonderful "doctor of animals" has always shown such love and compassion, and we appreciate that he takes time to fully explain things we don't understand. Our little Pom; "Skipper" has Cushing's Disease. Dr. Hollis ran tests and started him on medication...it took a little while for Skipper to respond, but now at 8 years old, he acts like a puppy again. Thank you, Dr. Hollis, for your keen observation & knowledge. We're impressed with Providence Animal Hospital, knowing that Dr. Hollis chose the latest state of the art technology, created a comfortable kennel, that is as clean and odor-free as a human hospital. I waited for an hour to be seen from my appointment time and there was no one else waiting before me.  I was told when I called that it would cost around $100 for my dogs yearly check up and shots.  When I went to pay, it ended up costing $169.  I told the receptionist the price I was quoted and she argued with me.  I have never paid that much for a perfectly healthy dog.  I will never go back! I have used Dr, Hollis and this clinic since they opened last year.  I have used both their veterinarian and boarding services since then.  The boarding facility is very clean and my dog was always very calm and seemed well cared for after each boarding..Coby was diagnosed with cancer and required minor surgery to make him comfortable.  Unfortunately, he left us for the rainbow bridge in May.  Dr. Hollis and his staff are most professional and caring vets I have ever used.  I just thank them for their concern and the help they gave us during this difficult process.
