We adopted our pug Pablo four years ago and we've been with Banfield in Murfreesboro the entire time. They are always extremely helpful and I can tell that they all genuinely love and care about Pablo. They always remember him and we've had nothing but good experiences with them over the years.
I see a lot of reviews saying they're more interested in getting money than pet care, but that has definitely not been true in my experience. There were many times when we were worried about something and we would call and they could have just tried to get us in for a visit, but if they were able to they always just gave advice over the phone. I've never felt pressured to spend money on anything there, and any time I've been charged it's always been for something necessary or Pablo's health and/or well being. I've always felt it was very reasonable.
I would definitely recommend them! Read Less

Extremely disappointed. Four Catahoula rescue pups taken for first shots and check for skin issues less than a week ago. Diagnosis was maybe bacterial infection..could be mange but didn't really think so. No skin scrap done to confirm by vet. Which is the first thing done even if there is a thought of mange. Checked for worns on only one pup..negative "after" i asked for results which test had not been done. Had to wait for that. Tech was a bit scattered..he couldn't seem to remember things..discount..tags and nail clip on adult dog. There right under two hours. Spent 20 min at front desk trying to pay. Watching 4 other customers being processed in while I was standing in front of him without even being asked if I needed help. These four babies were taken to another vet today..guess what..advanced sarcoptic mange and hookworms. Yes skin scrape verified. Thanks Banfield..245.00 at your office for putting my family at risk and my other dogs from being to lazy and neglectful. This type of mange is highly contagious. Not to mention the additional suffering these pups have and are going through getting them cured as well as the additional 347.00 i paid for additional care and appropriate treatment from a vet's office dedicated to what they do. Bandied is lax in their care and customer service. Definitely go somewhere else unless you want your animal in a petting facility. Plus...your animal will be taken to the back for shots..and every thing else. They don't want to treat your dog in front of you.. Read Less

We had our first and last visit to this pet clinic today. We adopted two kittens from Petsmart on Saturday and we were given a coupon for a free exam and consultation at Banfield pet Hospital for each of them. We took the kittens today for their visit and we were told at the end of the visit that we would have to pay for one of the kittens' visit. I explained to them that we had the two coupons for the free exams that we were given at the time of the adoption and it was supposed to be free. The vet assistant said "This happens all the time" and she informed me that it was their policy to only allow one coupon per family. I said that this was not what we were told when we adopted them. I also asked her if we adopted the kittens six months apart would the visits be covered? She said "yes". I then asked if We adopted the kittens a month apart would the visits be covered? She said "yes". So I pursued and said what about a day apart would the visits be covered? She said "yes". I said it did not make sense that if they were covered a day, a month, or six months apart why would they not be covered when the kittens were adopted the same day. She said that she did not understand it either but that's the way it was. She went out a couple times to talk to someone but each time came back and said we would have to pay. I told her that was not acceptable and asked to speak to a supervisor. She said her supervisor was not at the clinic. I asked if she could call her and she said "no". So then I asked if I could reach her tomorrow. The assistant told me " I don't know her schedule, I only know mine". She told me that if I did not pay today that I will be turned over to collections. I said I did not feel that I should be charged for something I was told would be free. I was never told when I made the appointments at the time of the adaption or when we checked in that only one coupon could be applied per family. The coupon itself says only one coupon per person for new pets. It does not say anything about limiting it to one per family. My daughter was in the room with me and my husband Came by before the visit was over. So we had three people and two coupons. It should have been allowed. This is a typical bait and switch and it is not right. I will try to reach the manager tomorrow Read Less

Rescued my pup from irresponsible breeder who took her to a banfield in Clarksville before we got her. Were told that they had shot records on file of her and we just needed his name for the records. All was fine until we try to get her fixed last month and they can't do it without the breeders permission (even though he doesn't own her and hasn't for a long time) to view the shot records to be sure she's had all of them? It's ridiculous. So now I have to give my 7 month old pup all of her rounds of shots AGAIN so that I can get her fixed.Read Less

This place is definitely geared towards revenue generation and NOT towards animal care. They pushed several costly, unnecessary treatments, but that's not what prompted me to review them. They suggested an antibiotic for my new kitten's leaky eyes, to which I explained that I'd prefer to wait a little while and see if the problem would resolve itself with cleaning before medicating. After the problem didn't resolve itself I called back up to have them ready the antibiotics - but wouldn't you know it there were no notes of that in the computer and they wanted me to come pay for another exam before they would write the prescription. If you are a potential investor, I'd suggest Banfield. If you are a pet owner, try your luck anywhere else. Read Less
