I will not be returning because I believe he just wanted my money and did not genuinely care for my pet. This was my first time using this clinic. I paid $59 for a 2 minute examination. I noticed he was very rough while wiggling my pet's leg around to see if it was broken. I was told my pet's ankle was broken and would need to be amputated for $350. That was the end of that exam. The next day I went to Bell Forest Animal Hospital for a 2nd opinion, my first time using this hospital as well. I spent $40 for a 20 minute long examination which included weighing my pet, giving my pet pain meds, and of course checking her leg which the vet was VERY gentle in handling with. I was told my pet did NOT need an amputation and that it was just a small fracture that could heal in 1-2 weeks. It has been almost 2 weeks later now and my pet's leg has been healed. If you care about your pet and want a genuine examination, please go elsewhere. I generally use Grassmere Animal Hospital which is a wonderful place, but had to use other clinics in this case for my small rodent. I suggest Bell Forest Animal Hospital for your exotic pets. Nashville Airport animal clinic is the best veterinarian in Nashville. Dr. Mike and the entire staff are kind, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. They are one of the only vets in Davidson county that will treat chickens. He gives the same level of care for our chickens as our beloved dogs and cats. Not only is he an incredible vet, he is also a comedian. Every visit we are regaled with another one of his hilarious stories. The facility is conveniently located, just a few minutes from the Briley parkway/ Murfreesboro road intersection. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. The previous reviews are hilarious. To the rabbit lady, did you stop to think after hearing the symptoms, Dr Corwin concluded the animal was not in need of Emergency care? Dr Corwin is the most caring, experienced vet I know. Furthermore, even though he is HIGHLY allergic to rabbits, he still treats them during and AFTER business hours (when the need arises). To the person complaining the visit was too short, was Dr Corwin right? Was your dog perfectly healthy? Dr Corwin has been my vet for almost 20 years. I drive 45 minutes to take my pets to him. My family has been taking our pets to Dr Corwin for nearly 30 years. Our most recent Labradors, Buddy and Moose have seen Dr Corwin since they were born. I'm pretty sure Buddy (12 yrs old) has a bigger file with Dr Corwin than most children have at their pediatricians office. I have always been extremely pleased with the care Dr Corwin gives my boys and have even continued to take them to him since we have moved nearly 45 minutes away. Say whatever you want to about Dr. Corwin and his bed side manner. He is a little rough around the edges at times, and will tell you like it is, and not afraid to tell you that you are not taking proper care of your animal, especially the exotic animals. People buy them because they think they're cool and have no idea how to take proper care of that animal. He is only trying to teach you. He is not perfect, just like everyone else in this world. BUT make no mistake about this, HE IS THE SMARTEST VETERINARIAN YOU WILL EVER MEET IN YOUR LIFE.!!! I worked for him a long time ago for about 5 years, plus he has treated many of my animals. Now that I don't live as close, I take my cats and dogs to a local vet in Mboro. It took me several different vets to see before I found one that I liked and trusted their opinions on treatmeant options. The reason for that is no one can compare to Dr. Corwin. Our rabbit was having a kidney complication on a Sunday and Nashville is not known for having the best exotic vets. Well we were desperate, calling around to various clinics, and Corwan had left his personal number on the after hours emergency line of his clinic. We called to ask some questions/referral recommendations and said a couple sentences about our situation, to which he replied, "I don't do this on Sundays" and hung up! I would never trust someone like this with my family member. It saddens me that someone like this is handling small, innocent animals' well-being. Kush was acting ok until he stopped playing a week and a half ago...My wife and I thought it was the neighborhood cats bugging his territory, so we ordered a motion sensor sprinkler to scare them off.. he had surgery done on his paw pads last year...we just thought the weight loss was due to his increased activity & cat wall jumping...the doc explained that he could have survived for a few more weeks, but he would be in pain and be starving because of the nature of his condition....we agreed that that's no way for someone we love to go, and that if we kept him for longer it would be for us, and not for him like we would want....he was awake when we got to there...so at least we got to say goodbye...he already had an iv so he didn't feel any pain...he just laid down, and that was it...if he had had any chance we would have taken it...but the Doc showed us pictures of the tumors, and told us we could choose to do anything we wanted..I really appreciate how understanding and professional everyone was...I like that Dr. Corwin said that he doesn't do convenience euthanasia, and that its always a last resort, and is reserved for the animals that are suffering and really need it. He added "Sometimes we get to treat animals better than people in the since that we can allow them to leave with some dignity" thanks again!Read Less

Went in yesterday to purchase flea pills for our indoor cat. We haven't seen any on her this year but she had a terrible case of them last year due to moving into a new apartment. Dr Cowan asked me some questions and then told me that until we see fleas, it would be better to not give our cat any chemicals that aren't necessary. I was so relieved because I'm not a fan of the pills for many reasons. It is such a relief to have a vet that cares about our cat as much as we do. Dr. Corwin has been the only vet that has been taking care of our 13+ yr old rabbit, saving her life when she had bladder stones, doing laser treatments on her arthritic back & pinched nerve in her neck. He always does a thorough exam on her every time she sees him, whether for her annual exam or an emergency. The staff is nice & handles her well also. Prior to our rabbit we had ferrets & he took excellent care of them too. Was somewhat disappointed with my visit. Took my dog in because a sudden change in temperament. The vet conducted almost NO service other than weighing the dog, advised that the dog was perfectly healthy and then still charged the full $45 fee. I was there for less than 15 minutes. O my GOD! everywhere i go they try to muzzle my big dog, when that don't work they give him a shot to knock him out so they can check his ear or anything else. The staff at Air port animal Clinic were AMAZING. The Doc was Awsomn too, he knew what he was talking about, and this place do the testing right there, they did not have to send out my dog's stool sample somewhere else. They worked with my dog until they gained his trust and made him feel comfortable. I recommend this place to anyone with big dog. I started coming to this vet due to the fact that he was one of the few vets in Nashville that would examine my rabbit. He was so knowledgeable that I knew I had become a loyal client after my first visit. A few years later I got a puppy and there was never a question in my mind where I would take her. Not only is the staff extremely courteous, my dog loves this place as well...even after all the shots they've given her! I've moved quite a bit around Nashville and this place has not always been convenient to where I live, but I've never thought about switching vets. Haven't had a dog in several years so I havent' needed a vet but recently bought a puppy and scheduled an appointment on the referral from a good friend.  To my surprise they even had something that morning but I had to decline and schedule something the next day.  The staff is indeed animal lovers and I don't think there was anyone in the back that didn't come out to meet my pup.  The staff was very courteous and the doctor very thorough and caring, he even scolded me and told me to feed my pup more which i'm sure she will appreciate.  My overall experience was outstanding and I'm sure I have found the right place to take my puppy for any health related needs she may have. Dr Corwin is a great Vet with years of experience with exotics. He is currently the backup Vet for the Nashville Zoo and handles all of Nashville Metro Police Canine units. He does volunteer work for Waldens Puddle Wildlife Rehab facility. He was the only Vet in Nashville to come to our House Rabbit Seminar when we had rabbits. Dr. Corwin is the best vet Tn has ever had. He adores animals and takes very good care of them. A very nice person and his staff is as nice as he is. The only reason he would ever be rude to anyone is if they didn't take proper care of their animals or if he thought the animals were being abused. This makes him very special in our eyes. Even our dogs adore him. He has been our vet for 11 years and takes wonderful care of our babies. When my rabbit became ill this was the only clinic that not only accepted exotic animals such as her but also knew what they were doing. Unfortunately the time it took me to find Dr. Mike was more than she had left. I'm not a cat or a dog person, I'm a bunny person. I got her in a day before she passed away and they did everything they could to make her comfortable. Dr. Mike understood how difficult the situation was for me. He called me personally a few hours before she passed and asked me to come and say goodbye. If he hadn't taken that effort I might never achieved closure with her death. When he called to tell me of her death he was very comforting and later when I came to pay for her stay let me sit and cry as long as I needed. Even though things didn't work out the way I wanted in this situation I appreciated the treatment I was given by this Dr. and the entire staff. If I ever do have another pet this will be their Vet. I'm not sure if I love Dr. Mike because he takes care of my cats, or because he reminds me of Hawkeye Pierce from M*A*S*H. I guess either way we have a winner. I suppose you can't very well ramble about the bells and whistles of a vet's office, but I'll brag on the staff. No one has to come to work with a good disposition, although you've probably seen in my reviews, its appreciated. But he and his staff are always friendly and chatty. The place is kind of secluded and off of Murfreesboro Road a bit, so I can see how someone may whiz by, even with the huge billboard on the right. I suppose the long of the short of it is the cats (or dogs)aren't going to like going to the vet regardless, so as long as you know you have them in good hands, what does it matter if the doc's jokes make you giggle-snort a bit? He's always sweet and cooish with the cats, and I love knowing I have a vet that cares for them. Read Less

I have taken many animals to this clinic and I must say I wouldn't trust any other vet besides this one! The staff is extra friendly and the vet himself has an incredible amount of experience. I cannot imagine anyone finding them uninformed. There is a lot of experience in this clinic, with animals of all types. They have helped me with various rescue animals. The best in town!! Read Less
