I love this clinic. They are very helpful. They help you over the phone when you are freaking out about your saint bernard baby (not that I've ever done that). They are reasonable about treatments--rather than needing to test every little lump and bump and creating unnecessary anxiety. And they are very affordable. Its been a great experience! Read Less

The staff at Elm Hill Veterinary Clinic is the best. They are caring and attentive, provide excellent veterinary care and they DON'T try to upsell or gouge you. When our Springer Spaniel was at the end of his life, they were so kind to our family. When our 5 month old Airedale had an injury, they were quick to determine the issue and were conservative in their approach - no rush to expensive, potentially unnecessary surgery.   We highly recommend them! I took my dog in because she was having difficulty in breathing,she was not given a thorough exmaination,was Checked for heart worms,had none ,was told she had allergies and give her benadryl. A day later took her to another vet.there she was given a thorough exam.They discovered she had a enlarged heart also fluid in her lungs.When you bring your dog in because something is wrong there needs to be a thorough exam. I'm hoping with the Wright medication she will improve,only time will tell Read Less

I went to Elm Hill Veterinary Clinic for the first time today to get my dog's teeth cleaned, and I was extremely impressed with how great of a job they did! I just recently moved to the Nashville area and heard nothing but great things about Dr. King. And I must say he certainly exceeded my high expectations. I went here with my dog before, and thought this was our guy, but after I took my cat and got charged 100$ to hydrate her only to later have to have her put to sleep, it was absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life, Dr. King was a huge let down, he cares more about his money for sure, because no way would any other vet had let my cat go the way he did, I will never ever step foot in this place again!!! We moved to Nashville from Florida recently. Our dog was over 11 years old and had liver cancer. He made the trip, did well for a week and a half, then went down hill fast. We knew his time had come and were prepared. Neighbors recommended Elm Hill Vet Clinic. What a great and caring team. They were as compassionate towards our family as well as our beloved pooch as I think anyone could be. As tough as the situation was, Dr King and his staff were kind, patient, and treated us like family, through the whole process. We'd certainly recommend them to anyone in need of a vet. Read Less

We want to say thank you for your tender loving care for Baxter, the snippy, snarky, snarly Cairn/Yorkie. He needed his check up and I dreaded bringing him because of his attitude. I had my dog groomed a few days ago here and let me tell you that it was the absolute worst grooming job. I expressed it while I was there and the groomer was so rude to me. His whole body was so choppy looking. There were patches of hair every where some long some short. I also just saw a dime size red patch on his bottom today. He kept licking that area and I was wondering why, but now I know that he got nicked! My poor dog! Do your dog a favor by not doing there unless they have a new groomer, younger female with long light brown/ dirty blond hair. Read Less

I have a long-haired cat that I brought here to get shaved. I know that sounds funny, but she's ALL fur! I had been calling around to see who could (and would) shave cats. Pet Smart actually mentioned Elm Hill Vet's Clinic, and I'm so glad they did! I was so desperate to get her shaved, that I didn't care how far away it is from my house (I live in Spring Hill). I called to make an appointment, and she explained to me the cost and mentioned that it will be a lot more if they have to sedate her. Again, I was desperate, so I told her that was fine. When I picked her up, I was beyond surprised how good she looked but especially how they didn't have to sedate her. I mean, I guess they could have easily said they sedated her just to get more money, how would I have known? I thought the price was great! I was impressed how the lady brought her to me when she got done, and told me how good Lily had been, and that made me feel good. Her demeanor showed she was patient, so I knew she had been in good hands. I really like this place and will continue to go here to get my cat shaved. lol Read Less

This vet is AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) registered. I've seen another posting saying they are expensive. AAHA vets are usually a little more costly but their quality of care and knowledge is worth it. These people will treat your pets as if they were their own. My cat loved the staff and waiting room. The only thing I didn't like is that there were no closed doors on the visiting rooms. So I was afraid my cat was going to bolt out of the room at any minute. My cat likes a closed exam room that he can inspect and get comfortable with. Read Less

Dr. King has been my vet for about two years, and I will not take my pets anywhere else. He is extremely gentle and patient with your pets, and they relax and feel comfortable around him. He is extremely kind and considerate, and will earnestly inform you about the ailment, without getting snooty about your ignorance on the subject. He will tell you all the details that you care to hear, and let you know how you can research it as well. He recently preformed an operation on my cat's hematoma. He gave me some medication to help her feel more comfortable, but also showed me the most effective way to administer liquid pain killers into a cat's mouth (which would have been next to impossible without instruction). She had less than the estimated down time (3 days) and is completely healed with her ear mirroring the other 2 1/2 weeks later. I hate it when my pets get sick, but I love taking my pets to this vet.
