The one star I give is for the male veterinarian who is quite nice as far as I have seen. However the other people who work here can be quite awful. We came in for something very simple and will never return after how we and our puppy were treated. Aside from being spoken down to, not having our questions answered and scathing our puppy, they also hurt him. We've been here before and not had a problem with the man who works here. I am giving three stars because the vet care was good. However the people who work here I was not pleased with. Unless you have a well behaved dog that isn't scared or anxious they seem extremely judgemental and unhelpful. Rough and quick with my anxious dog. Not a terrible vet just not right for me. We have a two year old, medium dog who truely is a part of our family. We moved to the area and wanted to find a vet that we felt comfortable with. For us, that meant someone who truely loves animals, who wouldn't suggest treatment plans that were unnecessary to put our baby through. After comparing prices we landed on Nashboro Animal Hospital. When you walk through the doors and Nashboro Animal Hospital you immediately feel as if you are surrounded by people who love your pet as much as you do. Our dog is very shy and easily afraid, Nashboro has a very homey feeling and even has a support kitty (as I call her) named Olive who visibly calms our dog down and sometimes sneaks in the waiting room with us. The staff were patient with her, didn't force her uncomfortable situations and most importantly got her to trust them. They took their time and suggested options that would be affordable for us and least invasive for our little girl. I would highly recommend this clinic. I do not think we would ever go elsewhere! What a wonderful facility, with a great staff! The vets and techs are so knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. It's obvious how much they care about their patients and clients. They will take all the time you need to review, explain, and interpret any concerns and test results. The front desk people are professional, and keep things running so smoothly. I laid to rest my beautiful Border Collie, Dazzle, yesterday. It was a hard decision, but necessary. The team was so supportive in my decision; talking me through the pain it was causing me to make the decision. Their compassion is priceless. My mother came to support me with her joirney; which was much needed. The procedure taken to ensure her comfort was priceless to me. She passed comfortably, peacefully, and with dignity I'm my arms. This place was so amazing! They got me right in when I called for my dog, after another vet office told me a time but then changed it to 2 hours later! They were all very helpful and comforting. The vet answered all of my questions and the front desk person and vet tech were so nice and helpful! I will definitely be going back there again if I need a vet again for either one of my pets. Moving to a place in which you don't know anyone is scary enough on it's own. Our dog, Ashley, decided to make it a bit scarier by getting herself injured before we really anyone to get referrals from. I was terrified that no one was going to be as good and personable as the Vet we had in Atlanta. Unlike our children, our pets can't vocalize what is wrong with them... so it's just that more important to find someone you can trust without a doubt with their care. I found that here. They are personable and were down on the floor with my girl, loving on her and tending to her care with as much love and attention as our last vet... as if she was their own dog. They continued to be there for my girl and for me through the good times and some rougher times. They cried with me when we had to say a all too soon good-bye to her recently. We've added a new member to the family and I wouldn't dream of taking her anywhere else then our extended family here at Nashboro Animal Hospital. :)Read Less

From the first day that I walked into the Nashboro Animal Hospital, I was treated as a family member. The amount of compassion, professionalism, and dedication that my family received (and still continues to receive) is rivaled by none in any industry. When I brought my cat Mollie to them for help, they welcomed us with more than just a diagnosis. They offered support, care, constant phone calls updating me on her progress, and a multitude of hugs. The owner even went above and beyond to stay many hours past closing time to keep a watchful eye on my sickly Mollie, keeping me updated during the entire process. When it came to the diagnosis, long term care plans and procedures needed in my situation, every member of the staff made it a point to keep me involved. They would explicitly tell me EXACTLY what was needed, and why. If I didn't understand, they would educate me on what was happening to my little Mollie, and how WE were going to treat her together. Their level of honesty was a much needed relief to me, a stubborn cynic. Every time that there was a test needed or samples sent off, I was notified of the cost upfront. There were no hidden costs nor surprise bills. Every time that I was there, I visited my hurt cat. The staff here are firm believers that pet owners are a priority when in regard to the healing process. I got to visit Mollie everyday, and that is something that I truly appreciate given the circumstances surrounding her stay. When almost two months had passed since I first stepped foot through their doors, I found myself faced with the most difficult decision that any pet owner will ever have to make. I went to Nashboro Animal Hospital unannounced. There was no phone call, no appointment, no email. I walked in without warning. I was immediately greeted with a hug, and the owner could tell that something was wrong. We immediately began discussing the situation, and our options. That day was yesterday. Tonight I'm writing this review with tear-stained cheeks. I'm writing this because amidst all of the sadness I have for my Mollie, I couldn't be happier that I found this specific animal hospital. In over 30 years of pet ownership (cats, dogs, birds, fish, and turtles), I have never received the compassion that they gave me. The facilities are there, and they are clean. The doctors are professional, well versed, and will always answer your questions. What sets this hospital apart from the rest? Their dedication to a legacy that was started 1987 by Dr. Kitty Parker. They are truly "One of a Kind", and they are a much needed establishment in today's world.
