I've been taking our two cats to Nippers Corner Pet Medical Center for years now. We primarily see Dr. Judy Torschia, though I've seen another vet there and he was wonderful too. Dr. Torschia really cares about her patients and goes the extra mile to do whatever she can to improve their health. She even called me on a Sunday (when they're closed) to check on how my terminally-ill cat was doing and offered to give me another prescription to try to help him. I've lived in the Nashville area for 15 years and seen various vets as I've moved to different areas of the city and she is the best vet we've seen. The staff are all polite and we've only had good experiences there. I highly recommend them! Read Less

We just moved to Nashville in 6/17and started taking our English Bulldog here. He's a bulldog so he has allegies and the skin folds tend to develop hot spots. We brought him here and Dr. Tripp was great. He advised us to hit the reset button and to start from zero since we had taken him to 2 different vets when we lived in Clarksville. I had been thinking that same idea. Anyway, he has had two appts here and Dr. Tripp is great and Thor loves him as well! The staff is courteous and flexible. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this office! I have had nothing but positive experiences, even when my sweet bear (dog) has been sick or had surgery. They are quick to call you back when they say they will, and everyone in the office just has a wonderful attitude! My dog doesn't like going to the vet (surprise, surprise), and the techs and docs always take the time to get her warmed up to them. I would give 75 stars if it were an option. My 14 year old weenie dog "Brownie" suffered an attack by a much larger dog. She was beaten up pretty bad and needed immediate attention. I called them with no notice at all and they gladly agreed to see us. Dr. Judy and her awesome staff stayed way past closing time to do surgery and make sure little Brownie was ok. I can't thank them enough. They even loaned me a larger pet carrier than what I'd brought to bring Brownie home more comfortably with only a hand-shake. Man!!! If only all businesses could be this way. They really care about you and your pet. Thank you again so much!!! There is no other vet for me. We are So incredible grateful for Dr. Torchia and everyone here. Our older cat, Babe, stopped eating a few days before we were leaving to visit family in Denmark and they let us drop her off for evaluation and boarding with no notice. They are an incredible team! This morning we saw that our Shiba Inu, Gage, got an anal gland infection overnight and took him to the Vet at Nipper's Corner Pet Medical Center. The girl at the desk was extremely rude and didn't even acknowledge us but the doctor that came out was really nice. He sent me to BluePearl since they were about to close and said it was an emergency. I was extremely worried because the doctor said it was going to be very expensive but Gage is like our child so I anxiously rushed him to the clinic.This was my first experience at Nipper's Corner Pet Medical Center and I would go again since the doctor was nice, but they should change or address the response of the receptionist. She could have at least made eye contact or say I'll be right with you. Instead she chose to ignore while I was in the middle of a pet emergency. We are new to Nashville and this location is very convenient for me. Hopefully the next visit will be better. I'll update this review when I bring in both Shibas and see how the experience is next time. Read Less

I have been taking my dog to this vet since Fall 2012. My dog was a rescue with no veterinary records, no age and a guess on what her name was. My dog has needed tumor removal, dental work and thyroid correction.  Dr. Torchia and team are wonderful. Friendly staff and the facility is always clean. We've been going to this office for over two years. We've spent literally thousands of dollars during that period on services and products. We've referred family members who have spent significant sums also. Today, we had our cat groomed and presented a $75 check for the groomer. They proceeded to 'process' the check through their processing service and told my wife that the check was declined by our bank. We got our bank on the line (we have several large businesses downtown, so we contacted our personal banker) who assured the clerk at the vet desk that there were significantly more funds in the account to cover the measly $75 check. The clerk responded that they still wouldn't take the check. After my wife got very upset and demanded that they hand over our cat, they took the check. They also lost great clients. And a bunch of referrals. Obviously they don't value long-term, loyal customers. Very short-sighted, but that's their issue. We'll go  elsewhere from this day on. Read Less

We had an amazing experience today with Dr. Torchia and her staff.  Our 5 year old Havanese had a left paw problem, and Dr. Torchia was caring and attentive.  She treated our pup as if she was her own.  She provided a well explained, written plan of care, and our dog is already on the mend!  She spent more time with our dog than our previous vets.  The clinic is clean, and the staff goes over and beyond.  You can tell that these folks love animals and know how to care for them.  We found our new vet today, and we are grateful to them for caring for our Gracie! I specifically requested that my dog was not shaved and not only did they shave him but also charged me extra for a handling fee, on top of a very hefty bill initially. I love my dog like most pet owners do but it was hard to even recognize what they turned my fluffy labradoodle into. Make sure your requests and expectations are clear before handing over your pet. This practice is 100% class.  Facility is spotless. Staff and doctors operate as a team and have an awesome bedside manner towards the patient owner which is not as common as most people think in my opinion.  They are so gentle with their patients. My wife and I took our new rescue pup here. On day two she got really sick. David the Veterinary asst. fit us in their busy schedule. Dr Maddox took care of Lucy and us for that matter.  I would encourage anyone seeking high end thorough care for their pet family member to start a life long relationship with Nippers Corner Pet Medical Center. I had a wonderful experience today at this facility with my 2 kittens which is only a mile from my house. Dr. Maddux was so caring and so very thorough. I have never had a vet spend that much time with my animals. I'm grateful for the great care provided by this top-notch veterinarian therefore I will also be switching Tasha to start coming here as well. I highly recommend this medical facility for your pets. We were told by NCPM that no treatments would be done without our consent. We get back from NYE and I have a bill that's hundreds more than expected. Barely an apology and I was there to deal with it. Love that my dogs are healthy but hold your word when you tell someone your going to do something. Will not be going back. Read Less
