We brought our bearded dragon in today. They were very busy and the schedule was full, but we were told if we could bring her in and drop her off they'd try and work her in. The ladies were so sweet and let us know exactly what to expect. Well, they did work her in. I got a call from Dr Lutz a few hours later and he had assessed her and called to talk about what he found out and what to do. I could tell by our conversation how much he cares, the time he took during our call and he made sure we know exactly what to do to keep her healthy and take care of her and meet her future needs. He's very personable and never once did I feel he rushed our conversation, even though I knew he had a very busy day. This place is about 40 minutes away from us. We did a lot of homework trying to find a vet that truly had experience with bearded dragons. So glad we did and we will definitely make the trip anytime we need to see the vet again. Thank you so much!!

Excellent, charismatic vet. Dr. Lutz is very knowledgeable about parrots. Dr. Lutz is very well studied and spent time in Central or South America. This knowledge is beyond apparent as he diagnoses and advises. He has a quirky, irreverent sense of humor that makes owners comfortable. He understands that his patients are ensured better care if he can educate the owners. His prices are reasonable. He also is very ethical. His passion and expertise are apparent. I tried another very well advertised avian vet in the area and was scared by the lack of knowledge. I have since talked to other bird owners in Nashville and have been warned not to go anywhere else but to Dr Lutz as the lack of knowledge of birds but other area vets is frightening.

Dr. Lutz cares about the animals he sees AND he handles exotic pets. He cares about my babies, even though they're guinea pigs and many people consider them lesser pets. He understands the realities of being a pet parent and does everything in his power to meet the needs of both the humans and animals involved. I HIGHLY recommend him.

I first started seeing Dr. Lutz about ten years ago for my blue throated macaw. I drove from Kentucky to see him on a regular basis as he was the closest avian certified vet. I can not possibly say enough good things about this doctor and his practice as a whole- I F&CKING LOVE WEST MEADE VET!!! I have had parrots, ducks, chickens, goats, horses, dogs, cats, chinchillas, just about everything you can imagine (yes, I grew up on a ranch). I have lived in ten different states and three different countries and have never EVER had any other vet come close to how awesome Dr. Lutz and his staff at West Meade are. To this day I still call them with questions and for a second opinion if I'm uncertain of the info I'm getting from another vet, even though we live 5,000 miles away. They still remember me and my pets by name and always sound happy to hear from us. I wish I could see Dr. Lutz for MY medical needs! BEST. VET. EVER.

I have a rabbit that has been having some health issues in his old age and I can't tell you enough how informative, helpful, friendly, and all around wonderful Dr. Lutz and his staff have been! My little guy is doing much better thanks to them, and if he has any more trouble I have complete confidence in West Meade Vet to take care of him.

After working for a vet clinic for 3 years and having a very hands on experience with my pets care I was very nervous about finding a new vet after moving to Nashville. Fortunately I chose Dr. Lutz! He has been amazing with my new kitten. While many vets are bored with routine vaccines, Dr. Lutz is so informative and attentive. Definitely 5 stars! The office could use a fresh coat of paint but fancy clinics can't disguise horrible care with glitz and glam. I highly recommend West Meade Vet Clinic!

After working for a vet clinic for 3 years and having a very hands on experience with my pets care I was very nervous about finding a new vet after moving to Nashville. Fortunately I chose Dr. Lutz! He has been amazing with my new kitten. While many vets are bored with routine vaccines, Dr. Lutz is so informative and attentive. Definitely 5 stars! It's difficult to find a vet who is so knowledgeable and cares so much about every sort of animal. Our hairless rat Monarch had a rare-fast growing tumor on his penial glad and Dr.Lutz and the staff preformed two successful surgeries on our little guy. They treat everyone who comes to them to the best of their ability and I have never trusted a Vet and their staff so much with my loved ones. I know Monarch was well cared for while he was in their care.

As others have said, you can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lutz and his staff. He is extremely affordable, excellent care. If you have exotics as I do you will discover he is not just a Dog and Cat doctor but also a true certified exotic pet Vet. He takes care of our Parrots, Rabbit, and hedgehogs with true knowledge and experience. Do yourself a favor and go see this man!!!

There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to express how wonderful Dr. Lutz and his staff are at West Meade Veterinary Clinic. I started using the clinic about 6 years ago after I got settled in Nashville. Dr. Lutz is an incredible veterinarian and has a great sense of humor. He takes his time in explaining the situation to you and giving you options while being sensitive to your financial concerns. Dr. Lutz's staff are also incredible. They are extremely nice and caring, they love pets, and it shows. They will treat your pet just like it was their very own. The clinic's prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for a veterinarian - do yourself a favor and call West Meade Veterinary Clinic.

Don't judge a book by the cover. The building and rooms could use a renovation but Dr. Lutz and staff are the best!! I never wait more than 5 mins to get in a room and never wait more then 10 to see him. I have been to many vets that rush you in and out and Dr. Lutz takes his time talking to you and answering all the questions you have. He really cares about animals and it shows. He does not try to add care that is not needed and the prices are very affordable. He's the only vet in town that would see my exotic animals.

I absolutely love my vet. First of all it is so much less expensive than say Murphy Road Animal Hospital, which I have been to several times and have paid almost twice as much for lower quality care....
I absolutely love my vet. First of all it is so much less expensive than say Murphy Road Animal Hospital, which I have been to several times and have paid almost twice as much for lower quality care. My dog has chronic ear infections and is currently experiencing some skin issues and everyone at the office has been more than accommodating. Yes they are extremely busy, but that is because they are so good. When you go in for your apt time you get seen right away, I have never waited longer than 5 minutes, and sadly to say I am in there around once a month. Dr. Lutz is funny and friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I think it is a great establishment.

I just moved to Nashville this past weekend. After getting all moved in my little dog discovered some rodenticide. I immediately took her to the closest vet clinic, which happened to be this one. I explained to the woman at the front desk that my dog ate the rodenticide. She told me the Vet was very busy and would not be able to see my dog. She recommened that I go down the road to another clinic. I appreciated the recommendation, however, I viewed this as an emergency situation. I love my dog and was scared for her life. Ingesting rodenticide is a very dangerous situation and time is of the essence. I can say without a doubt that I will never take my dog there again.

We brought our bearded dragon in today. They were very busy and the schedule was full, but we were told if we could bring her in and drop her off they'd try and work her in. The ladies were so sweet and let us know exactly what to expect. Well, they did work her in. I got a call from Dr Lutz a few hours later and he had assessed her and called to talk about what he found out and what to do. I could tell by our conversation how much he cares, the time he took during our call and he made sure we know exactly what to do to keep her healthy and take care of her and meet her future needs. I can not possibly say enough good things about this doctor and his practice as a whole- I F&CKING LOVE WEST MEADE VET!!! It's difficult to find a vet who is so knowledgeable and cares so much about every sort of animal. Our hairless rat Monarch had a rare-fast growing tumor on his penial glad and Dr.Lutz and the staff preformed two successful surgeries on our little guy. I never wait more than 5 mins to get in a room and never wait more then 10 to see him. I have been to many vets that rush you in and out and Dr. Lutz takes his time talking to you and answering all the questions you have. He really cares about animals and it shows.
